Abstract: In traditional EDA flow, Technology mapping is performed after logic synthesis. Besides programmable logic blocks, heterogeneous FPGAs also have some hard blocks, such as memory block and multiplier, built in it. After logic synthesis, it will be difficult for technology mapping to find sub-circuits that can be implemented in hard blocks. In this paper, a systematic technology mapping approach is proposed. In the design phase, with the support of CAD tools, a module based design approach is used to map some design block to large hard blocks. During register transfer level synthesis, some functions that are suitable to be implemented in small hard blocks are identified. Other logic functions are mapped into lookup tables with different input size.

Abstract: In order to allow the user to quickly and accurately search the required information, a query optimization method based on a simulated annealing and particle swarm hybrid algorithm is proposed. The basic idea is: the query population into two flat sub populations, a sub population by using simulated annealing algorithm optimization, another sub populations by using particle swarm algorithm optimization, comparison of two adaptive values, to find the global optimal value. The experimental results show that the mixed algorithm, can further improve the precision and recall of query optimization.

Abstract: Minor component analysis (MCA) plays an important role in signal processing and data analysis. In this paper, we propose a novel watermarking scheme using MCA neural networks. The proposed scheme can detect and localize any modification made to the image, which can be used for integrity verification and authentication. Another important property of this proposed scheme is that any gray scale watermark can be easily inserted into the image compared to some other watermarking method such as LSB (least significant bit) method. Furthermore, the proposed scheme can insert any watermark into one image without making any visible changes to the image. Since the minor component of each image is different, and it requires a user key during both the insertion and extraction procedures, it is not possible for an infringer to insert a new watermark or alter the existing one that could pass the test. Finally, various experiments also confirm such properties of the proposed scheme.

Abstract: Large-scale parking lot contains numerous spaces, thus, it’s so important and necessary to distribute the parking spaces more appropriately to offer all users right places to park their cars in short time. This paper has given the research method on how to distribute the parking spaces which conduct a well balance point between uniform distribution and driving path. Distribution algorithm has been proposed when the user who does not reserve and user who reserves temporarily, which has been verified to be reasonable.

Abstract: To deal with the modeling problem of the lime kiln calcination process, we propose a model describing the relationship between process states and outputs. By analyzing the strongly coupled features in the process, we construct a relationship model using subspace identification method which takes two inputs including the second air flow and gas flow, and two outputs including the calcining zone temperature and kiln tail temperature. The simulation shows that this model is of high accuracy for describing the characteristics of lime kiln calcination process.

Abstract: Differential evolution (DE) algorithm is a heuristic approach that has a great ability to solve complex optimization and converges faster and with more certainty than many other acclaimed global optimization methods. In this paper, DE algorithm is applied to calibrate design seismic response spectra, the basic idea is that design response spectra and calculated response spectra are defined as objective function of characteristic parameters, the first turning point, the second turning point (characteristic period), the platform height and the attenuation index, of design response spectra, and the characteristic parameters are obtained by minimizing the objective function. Three pieces of the calculated response spectra for one real are calibrated as an application example. The obtained results demonstrate the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed method.

Abstract: Having fast and precise automobile fault check is a basic skill for automobile maintenance technicians. The simulation and setting of fault in automobile simulative teaching system need to be fast and accurate. The automobile simulative teaching system, based on ZigBee technology and usage of wireless sensor networks, is built to set fault for several EFI car engine training tables. It facilitates the students’ exercise and examination. The system uses the CC2430 chip to achieve the network node hardware and software design, information collection and wireless transmission. The practical application shows that the system has a simple structure, high reliability, broad application prospects.

Abstract: Data integration of geospatial data in distributed, heterogeneous environment involves the use of semantic ontologies. In this kind of integration system, semantic technologies play an important role in improving performance and effectiveness of spatial queries. This paper focuses on methods of query optimization based on spatial semantics at the top level of semantic layer in central data integration systems. After analyzing the hybrid approach for spatial data integration, two categories of query optimization strategies are proposed based on detailed examination of special characteristics of spatial data. With spatial knowledge explicitly specified in ontologies and associated rules, spatial queries can be optimized intelligently.

Abstract: A scroll expander is applied to a compressed air energy storage system in order to improve the energy conversion efficiency. Based on the geometric model, mass conservation equation, ideal gas equation and energy conservation equation, a mathematical model of the scroll expander is developed in order to describe the variation mechanism of the volume, mass, pressure and temperature of the air in different chambers. A prototype is constructed and tested to verify the simulation model. The mathematical model is implemented in Matlab and verified by comparing the simulation with the experimental results. The simulation agrees well with the experimental results.

Abstract: For the purpose of obtaining mathematical force model in grinding process, the contacting grain numbers and the single grain forces should be taken into considered. In this paper, a mathematical model was established for single grain forces calculation. A Matlab program is edited and the calculation results were obtained and discussed. In the work of this paper, only plowing and cutting forces were take into considered because that the sliding forces were proved to be neglected based on Hertz contact theory. Because of different micro-interacting mechanisms of plowing and cutting grains with workpiece material, different force models were developed separately.
