Abstract: The goal of the presented work is to establish foundation for design systems combining both human intelligence and computing power of computers for real engineering design. The lack of involving designers in current design models impairs the design flexibility of computer-based design systems. This paper investigates design process with a developmental and dynamic view and develops a designer dominating designing (DDD) framework involving the object, process and designer. The design framework consists of six stages, three types of transfer functions, measurement functions, and evaluation functions, and it is represented as a dynamic system. A bio-inspired design framework (six-stages) is used to present the design process into six phase states and three mechanisms. An integrated product engineering model (iPeM) is used to generalize various design activities into transfer functions and measurement functions. Examples are presented to validate the method.

Abstract: In order to get a 3D embossment effect from a single relief image, this paper proposes a new method. In this method, the object region is given height values based on the main idea that the whole image is regarded as a matrix which consists of many pixels, and then do some relative matrix operations to it. At the same time, the whole image is considered as a 2D grid, and the colour–level of the image is regarded as the height value. Then render a 3D mesh. In order to obtain a better visual effect, a light treatment is set for the new generated image.

Abstract: Dead Reckoning is an autonomous navigation method less susceptible to external environment, but due to the initial alignment declination and odometer coefficient error, navigation errors increase with time. In this paper, the map matching algorithm is used to precisely match the dead reckoning to compensate the vehicles heading deviation angle and odometer coefficient error by positioning error. Studies have shown that the odometer coefficient error and dynamic alignment accuracy are mainly affected by the vehicles displacement between two points and positioning accuracy. Error feedback iterative method is used to compensate for correction, which can better inhibit the gyro drift on navigation deviations impact. The simulation results show that considering the map matching algorithm accuracy under the premise of this program, the odometer coefficient error is significantly lower and the accuracy of alignment can reach minute level after five iterative calculations.

Abstract: This article analyses the development history of Engineering graphics, researches on modern engineering graphics, and puts forward the problem of modern engineering graphics, as drawing and interpreting drawings all need special training. For the problem this article puts forward the new structure of pattern: using three-dimensional pattern to replace traditional two- dimensional pattern, expressing the inside and outside structure shape of parts, by the profile and rotation of three-dimensional pattern. the three-dimensional is more directer and visualer than the two-dimensional patterns as the same method to express the structure and shape of objects. use three-dimensional to express to avoid the two conversions from three-dimensional to two-dimensional(drawing) or from two-dimensional to three- dimensional(interpret drawings).

Abstract: Based on software GaBi4.3, life cycle assessment method is used to analyze the abiotic depletion, energy consumption and environmental emissions of recycling process of 1kg waste thermosetting phenolic laminated plastic. This paper also takes advantage of CML2001 provided by GaBi to assess the environmental impacts through the recycling process. The result shows that the rank of environmental impact is: Regeneration> Molding > Crush; the main environmental impacts are global warming potential, acidification potential and eutrophication potential.

Abstract: With the development of city, the scale of underground pipeline is always extending and to solve the problem of virtual underground pipeline generation is extremely urgent. In this paper, we will use the triangular slice to establish three-dimensional MultiPatch models. The three-dimensional vector will be used in this new modeling method of 3D visualization of underground pipeline. The method can automatically deal with elbows or straight pipe modeling problems. And we find it suitable for rapid modeling and wide range of applications through our series of test.

Abstract: In order to investigate the windblast protective devices’ effects on the aerodynamic characteristics of human-seat system, two geometric modes were built, one was installed protective devices, the other was not. Used the FLUENT, a CFD software, a series of simulation experiments were done. The two models’ contours of pressure and curves of aerodynamic force parameter were obtained. Besides the rule of how the protective devices effect on human-seat system was obtained. These results had some referenced worthiness for designing protective devices.

Abstract: For solution the complex and rapidly changing question of temperature field in mining goaf, the simulation on dynamic temperature field of parameters coupling is carried out under different working coditions based on high-efficiency finite volume method (FVM) and the moving characteristic of working face. The theory analysis, the laboratory experiment, the simulation of software and the example confirmation, above all methods are used in order to find the change of temperature field in goaf. The result is found that there has spontaneous combustion in goaf when the moving speed of working face is below 1.2m/d; besides that the temperature in goaf fall and the high-temperature region is extend to the deep of goaf. Another result is exist that there has the linear increase relationship of the intensity of leak air and the temperature in goaf, and the high-temperature region is extend to the deep of goaf contrary to the effect of the coal oxidation properties, which increases the risk of coal spontaneous combustion in goaf. Especially , all the data of temperature is visualization by picture of 3D, so the distribution map of temperature in goaf is visualized distinctly. The research results provide a theoretical basis for understanding the real situation and preventing spontaneous combustion in goaf.

Abstract: In the three dimensional reconstruction of cone-beam CT, a fast reconstruction method based on the smallest three dimensional convex hull was proposed for actual scan data. First, according to the definition of the minimum three dimensional convex hull, the minimum three dimensional convex hull of the detected object was obtained in the actual scan using a segmentation algorithm based on the projected images, and then with the Z-line data first algorithm, the image reconstruction area was limited to the minimum three dimensional convex hull to enhance the cone-beam CT reconstruction speed by reducing the redundant computing. The experimental results show that this method can effectively reduce the memory consumption, and significantly improve the reconstruction speed and reduce the noise surrounding the object imaging area.
