Abstract: Apply the rapid prototyping in the 3D reconstruction of solid model of lumbar. By separating the original CT image data according to threshold value, filling and repairing the hole and generated the STL file of lumbar, using Geomagic and UG NX software to complete the model of intervertebral disc and assembly of lumbar. Finally, the model was manufactured through FDM Vantage i rapid prototyping machine.

Abstract: A computer-aided engineering (CAE) model was developed to analyze the acoustic characteristics of a car cabin. Pro/Engineer Wildfire 4.0 was used to three-dimensionally represent the geometry of the cabin. The CAE, using COMSOL Multiphysics 4.2a, was performed to investigate the distribution of sound pressure fields at natural frequencies. The principle mode indices were (2, 1, 1), (2, 1, 1), (1, 1, 1), and (2, 2, 2), corresponding to the modal coefficients 1, 2, 3, and 4 and the natural frequencies of 179.691, 139.276, 221.620, and 231.386 Hz, respectively. The results of the analysis provided insight into the car cabin design to suppress exterior and interior noise.

Abstract: Based on equations of gas diffusion equilibrium, a new design method, along with a CAD software package, was developed to improve the efficiency of fruit packaging design. Take guava fruit as a case study, the method we developed was used to calculate unknown pack parameters and simulate the dynamic change of in-pack gas concentrations. When the ratio of headspace and fruit volume was 2.5:1, it expended about 200 h before the equilibrium gas exchange was created. However, in the case of 0.3:1 ratio, it needed only 30 h to obtain the equilibrium state. Simulation results are useful for achieving high quality of package design, especially in the case of long transport distance or long-time storage.

Abstract: In the analysis for overload characteristics of electromagnetic release with oil dashpot, it was difficult to calculate the dynamic behavior of the oil dashpot having long strokes and moving slowly. A method using finite element analysis to obtain the dynamic characteristics of the plunger in the oil dashpot has been developed. Based on the result of the static characteristics, the dynamic characteristics of oil dashpot release are simulated by using ADAMS. Then the relation between the oil damping coefficient and the plunger’s stroke has been discussed. As a result, it is facile to realize the regulation of tripping time for the release through changing the viscosity of silicon fluid.

Abstract: A mathematical model was presented for the combustion of municipal solid waste in a 350t/d MSW-burning incinerator. Numerical simulations were performed to predict the temperature and the species distributions in the furnace, with practical operational conditions taken into account. When the total air supply is constant, reducing primary air and increasing secondary air properly results in the higher total temperature of the furnace and the more oxygen concentration at the furnace outlet, and thereby contributes to the complete combustion of combustibles so that an optimal combustion effect can be achieved.

Abstract: The advantages and disadvantages of the method of separating the liquid from the gas on orbit are analyzed aiming at the propellant resupplying on orbit. A new method named spiral gas-liquid separation is proposed here, which is much simpler and highly efficient. Supposing the hydrazine as the propellant, the flow process of two-phase flow is numerical calculated. The results shows that the separated liquid would acquire higher speed and it would take shorter time for the fluid field to be balanced if the inlet fluid speed is higher with a constant gas-liquid ratio at the inlet. The same would take place if the ratio of the liquid to the gas is higher with a constant inlet speed.

Abstract: As the world-famous, powerful and the most representative CAM software technology, UG has the most abundant processing strategy of the NC processing, design, programming software. Taking a general hole CNC processing technology as an example, UG programming operation skills and programming operation process are discussed, processing function of the point-to-point operation is used to complete general hole processing. Through UG – CAM, NC machining program is generated into simulation system for processing simulation, and eventually NC simulation processing and NC program are generated.

Abstract: The 3D model of a horizontal broaching machine is built in inventor, and the first ten natural frequencies and mode of vibration are obtained by the software of ANSYS. Dynamic response of the whole machine is also calculated in ANSYS, the weak link of the dynamic performance of the whole machine is found combined with the result of modal analyses, consequently, settings of the cutting speed and the improvement for the structure are provided.

Abstract: In this thesis, the process of electromagnetic drying cylinder was analyzed creating by the dryer finite element model using ANSYS. The conduction thermal analysis, the applied load and solved showed the results of three major components. Which create a finite element model of the process, mainly the preprocessor using ANSYS software to create or import geometric models from other software applications, and then add the material properties. The last of the geometric model meshing and solving process need to enter solvers according to the actual situation. The setting is applied to the thermal load and conditions. Then it is proceed to the finite element solution operator. It final usually the Post 1, or Post2 view results, and based on our experience to judge correctly

Abstract: The 3-D frame model of towbarless aircraft tractor was established with the UG software, and then transferred into ANSYS Workbench to conduct the finite element static analysis to check the bending strength of the frame on maximum load working conditions. Using topology optimization module, original design of frame was optimized in accordance with the calculation result. It shows that the strength of optimized frame meet the design requirements, while the weight of optimized frame is reduced by 8%.
