Abstract: This paper presents the interference effect based on dual-core photonic crystal fiber (PCF) and explains the principle of interference imaging. Interference image of dual-core PCF has been acquired by CCD. Furthermore, digital image processing technique is utilized to extract the skeleton of interference fringes. Eventually, the spacing intervals of interference fringes are obtained successfully by measuring scale calibration. Interference effect based on dual-core PCF paves the way to physical sensing in MEMS field.

Abstract: Being a kind of actual resources, manufacturing equipment resources (MERs) need to be virtualized and encapsulated into services. Our proposed works mainly focus on manufacturing capability of MERs that is consisted of two aspects: static functional capability and dynamic production capability, and relationship between related concepts so as to model MERs by ontology web language (OWL) that is based on semantic. In this paper, firstly, ontology based methodology within manufacture field is developed according to cloud manufacturing characters. Secondly, manufacturing capability is studied from functional attribute capability and production capability, then, the related concepts classes and relationship are analyzed, with the special properties defined to describe these classes based on semantic. Thirdly, the built in model is described by OWL (ontology web language) using protégé tool and an instance of MER is built based on the proposed model to express its manufacturing capability. Finally, this model is applied to Cloud MERs service platform, which is constructed for a given enterprise group, to provide MERs services. Moreover, Web Service is used in the platform to realize the sharing of the provided services.

Abstract: Machining process parameters are main factors influencing machining quality and efficiency. Finite element models of tool and part are set up using finite element software Deform-3D. Variety laws of cutting force and temperature under different process parameters are simulated. The results are analyzed. Cutting force grows obviously with the growth of cutting speed (vc). However, cutting force fluctuates and decreases with the growth of cutting depth (ap) indicating the phenomenon of work hardening. Cutting force fluctuates and grows with the growth of feed rate ( f ). But the influence of feed rate ( f ) to cutting force is smaller than that of cutting speed (vc). The growths of the above mentioned three process parameters all cause the rise of temperature. Machining simulation research provides the optimum process parameters for CNC programming.

Abstract: Cutting process consists of many interaction parameters, the interrelationship of these parameters is developed, the cutting process database based on case and optimization is discussed. The cutting parameters are provided by means of the combination of case-based reasoning and optimization, the case database is established with experience, the cutting parameters are proposed, the optimization is applied when no information is in the case database, and the new data will be saved as a new case after it is verified by manufactured. The selection efficiency and precision of cutting parameters are improved by the means of case characteristics similarity calculation retrieval. The program is expansible in the way of open case storage.

Abstract: As the tool magazine and automatic tool changer (ATC) are the important function units to reserve and change tools for the machining center, the tool-changing rate affects their reliability life which directly influences the performance level of the machining center. However, the reliability of the tool magazine and ATC has not yet got a reasonable evaluation index. Directing at the features of the tool magazine and ATC system, the mean tool change numbers between failures evaluation index is proposed, which is used to calculate the mean time to repair and estimate the collected failure data of the chain-type tool magazine and ATC. It can be seen that the tool magazine with continuous tool-changing adopts the mean tool change numbers between failures as the reliability evaluation index.

Abstract: Since the energy problem is more and more serious, the CNG cylinders are used more and more widely. Meanwhile, more and more attention has been paid to the manufacturing and research and development of CNG cylinders. Based on the CNG cylinder drawing process, finite element software is adopted to research the parameters of drawing circle during the drawing process to find the optimum die-entrance angle and optimum die radius under minimum drawing force. Meanwhile, a contrastive research is done to the drawing forces with different different drawing ratios and different friction coefficients. Design parameter values of drawing circle are determined through the finite element numerical simulation to give guidance to actual production.

Abstract: This paper presents a kind of chip-less pipe cutting machine feeding mechanism and briefly introduces its working principl. With the application of Ansys software, the cutter's under pressure of this tool is deduced. Then calculation of the motor's maximum speed, equivalent load inertia and equivalent load torque by this method , the chip-less pipe cutting machine's AC servo motor is determined and its capacity is checked.

Abstract: NC electrochemical mechanical drilling was based on NC, Electrochemical machining and mechanical grinding. It drilled with different diameter composite cathodes. This kind of drilling method took the advantages of electrochemical mechanical, so it was not restricted by parts’ strength, hardness and stiffness. The cover of cathode ensured the drilling precision. So this technology should be studied. This paper took 304 stainless steel and high temperature alloy GH710 to do study, at last the reasonable and high efficient process parameters were found in the experiment. The high quality holes of better roundness and small taper angle were drilled. The results showed that the study of NC electrochemical mechanical drilling difficult-to-machine materials was very meaningful.

Abstract: Aimed at specialty of Deyang Heavy Equipment Manufacturing Base (DHEMB), which is formed by numerous medium-sized and small enterprises leading by three huge factories, an overall framework of manufacture information platform is put forward based on production service. The soft and hardware structure and the function modules of the platform are analyzed, and the operation mode of network information platform is studied as well. These can be good foundation for the platform development and carrying out.
