The Effects of Annealing Treatment Temperatures on Mechanical Performance of Aluminum-Coated Magnesium Composite plates
Abstract:
Aluminum-coated magnesiumcomposite plates were fabricated by clad-rolling, then diffusion annealingtreated at 200°C, 250°C, 300°C, 350°C for 1h . The mechanicalperformance of aluminum-coated magnesium composite plates was investigated bythe test of tensile behavior. The best tensile strength and elongation wasfound at 250°C, 148.3Mpa and 6.48%.The changesof microstructure were investigated by metallographic microscope and scanningelectronic microscope. It was found that theinterface intermetallic compounds generated great influence to the interface bondingperformance because of its brittleness andthickness.
