Abstract: Permeable groyne is an innovative type of traditional groynes, Netherlands have accumulated some experiences on this field during the practice on the Rhine and Jamuna river (Bangladesh). This paper summarized the present study results of permeable groynes and inspired by it, proposed an supplementary alternative for the river training work in the Lower Yellow River.

Abstract: Through the numerical simulation research about the deformation and stability of cut-off wall´s foundation trench in Zhikong Hydropower Station China [1]. The text explained the major factors which were construction scheme and the strength of interior bracing structure of the deformation and stability about the foundation trench. In the early construction, the two reasons caused the large deformation. When adjusted the construction scheme and the strength of interior bracing structure, the deformation state of foundation trench and supporting system became much better.

Abstract: At present, the application of various hydrological model provides scientific basis for the realization of the water resources management. MIKE SHE model is a classic physically-based watershed-scale model with great advantages in the coupling of surface water and ground water. In the paper, the development history and the present study situation of the distributed hydrological model MIKE SHE and the structural principle of the model is summarized. Furthermore, the ability and applicability of MIKE SHE model was preliminary evaluated for simulating surface runoff in the Guishui river basin in Beijing, China. The impact of different land use practices (the year of 1980 and 2005) on the hydrological response of the selected basin was initially assessed. Overall, the model was able to simulate surface runoff reasonably on annual intervals, representing all the hydrological components adequately.

Abstract: The discharge process influences the morphological evolutions of alluvial rivers, even the channel pattern evolutions. The impacts of discharge processes on morphological evolutions in an experimental channel were investigated by a 3-D mathematical model, in which turbulence flow and sediment transport as well as bank erosion were modeling. The simulated results demonstrated that the discharge process had significant effects on morphological changes. Planfrom evolution in the period with large discharge was much more notable than that with small discharge. Different discharge processes may lead to different channel patterns. A single meandering channel was formed under steady flow condition. A braided channel was observed with unsteady flow condition.

Abstract: Overlapping storage periods of the cascade reservoirs would lead to the unreasonable using of the water resources, and each reservoir in the cascade might not be filled, that would influence the comprehensive benefit of the cascade reservoirs. In this paper, the Runoff regulation model of the cascade reservoirs is established and verified, the flood regulating calculation of the Xiluodu-Xiangjiaba-Three Gorges cascade reservoirs is done, and based on the flood regulating calculation, the earliest dates of the starting impounding of the cascade reservoirs are as below: Xiluodu and Xiangjiaba reservoirs are both not earlier than Sep.11, and Three Gorges Reservoir is not earlier than Sep.1. Then by using the comparative analysis and based on an overall analysis of generating electricity and transport of the cascade reservoirs, the most reasonable impounding date are calculated as below: the Xiluodu reservoir starts impounding in Sep.1, the Xiangjiaba reservoir starts impounding in Oct.1, and the Three Gorges Reservoir starts impounding in Sep.1.

Abstract: Pile-driven operation is the essential means of flood control and river harnessing. Anti-flood Spiral Pile is an innovative flood fighting and rescue equipment. Based on the experiment, established the spiral pile finite element model in FEM method and constructed the soil model with SPH smooth particles, set the keywords and parameters by using LS-DYNA softwares own processor, and then, the large deformation (soil extrusion and shearing status, etc.) and stress conditions be simulated truthfully. With reference to the experiment, the simulation results of SPH method with ALE method was contrasted, which could provide a reliable reference and scientific basis for the subsequent analysis and design of the spiral pile.

Abstract: In order to solve the problem of differential settlement, seepage flow and stability between the new and old dam boundary in capacity increasing of the plain reservoirs, the comparative analysis on the stability of the dam slope with different methods on dealing with the new and old dam boundary was performed by numerical simulation with FLAC3D. The result shows that combining the new and old dam by using geogrid indicates superiority for reducing differential settlement, improving the dam stability and safety, etc. In the meantime, on the basis of actual site investigation and theoretical analysis, combined with the requirements of design, construction and management in capacity increasing of the plain reservoirs, the key construction technology was put forward and widely applied foreground, which can improve the quality of the construction, reduce engineering disease and provide references for capacity increasing engineering of in plain reservoirs.

Abstract: In order to make the coal exploitation to the healthy and sustainable development, the reasonable deployment of development of coal resources insist on shutting down before the integration, with the principle of the big merging into the small and the inferior merging into the superior. Coordinating to Hongfa coal mine and Luda coal mines In Ding Qi town. By integrating, it can achieve the goal of coal mine safety production and optimization of coal resources, and also can solve some problems left over by history. Through the analysis of local water resources development and utilization, we adopt the method of rainfall to inquire runoff volume and the frequency analysis to reason the results. The results show that either status quo of the level year or planning level years, Ma Daozi village gulley can completely meet the requirements of project for water, Water intake of water is reliable and the impact is not big to regional water resources.

Abstract: A numerical simulation is carried out to investigate the unsteady flows over a swimming fish. The three-dimensional incompressible Navier-Stokes equations are solved using the finite volume method with artificial compressibility and dual time stepping approaches on unstructured moving grid. A realistic fish-like body is modeled, which undergoes undulatory swimming in a straight line. Both inviscid and viscous flows have been simulated to study the flow structures.
