Abstract: With the emergence and development of BIM (Building Information Modeling), traditional architectural design pattern have had great changes. By analyzing the trend and technical content of BIM and taking the Step Vision for example, this paper presents the application of BIM as a new concept in the design and further discusses the advantages and disadvantages in architecture design.

Abstract: t is now generally accepted that there are two spatial effects in concert halls: apparent source width (ASW) and listener envelopment (LEV). Barron have proposed the early lateral sound energy fraction (LFE) as an objective measure for apparent source width. But this measure takes no account of asymmetry role between the early sounds from front and behind. The purpose of this study is to investigate the relation between the arrival direction of early sound and ASW. Experiments using sound field simulated in an anechoic room confirm that early-arriving sound from in front of listener give more contribution to ASW than symmetrical direction behind listener. As the direction of arrival approaches between 45o to 60o from straight ahead in the horizontal plane the ASW approaches a maximum.

Abstract: Tropical Regional Rehabilitation Hospital Complex is the necessary infrastructure for the aging society, the environment should be designed to strike a balance between comfort and sustainability. The design focuses on the unity of the Rehabilitation Hospital both indoor environment and energy-saving effect. Comprehensive energy conservation measures, indoor sound and light environment and shading systems designed to improve comfort and rehabilitation efficiency of patients, as well as the rehabilitation hospital managers to achieve lower operating costs and sustainable management objectives.

Abstract: This article aims to establish a scientific, quantifiable and workable comprehensive evaluation index system for the tendency of intensive design of the contemporary campus. The evaluation system of intensive design is divided into four levels and related indicators, including location selection, natural climate adaptation and eco-technology, and determine weight value of each indicator by using analytic hierarchy process method. The conclusion is that the weight of the location selection is the highest, following by the eco-technology, and the natural climate adaptation is the least important. Then it clears the development direction and goals of the intensive design of campus and sums up the points of campus intensive design.

Abstract: Considering problems in the processes of roof design, a system for evaluating the performances of roofs is presented in this paper. Based on a basic analysis of the primary geometric figures, which simplified from 10 roofs of Japanese Wooden Detached House (WDH), application of the Topology theory in roof design is founded. Adapting the continuous transformation character of Topology theory, Genetic Algorithm (GA) is selected to have simulations on varied roofs derived from a suitable Basic Model (BM) and utilized to search for efficient roof for meeting our Indices. To certificate the validity of the developed system, a sample trail by operating a Curved Roof Surface Model (CRSM) for obtaining an optimal roof to minimization thermal loads from roof is proposed.

Abstract: Zaha Hadid is the world’s renowned master of architecture, and she was the first and, to date, the only woman who wins the prestigious Pritzker Architectural Prize. This paper analyzes the rationality of her creativity in architecture from three aspects: the relations between the building and its surroundings, the formal language and function.
