Abstract: A new bionic topology optimization method by combining reaction-diffusion equations describing bone adaptation process with finite element analysis is presented in this study. The major idea of the present approach is to consider the structure to be optimized as a piece of bone that obeys bone adaptation and the process of finding the optimum topology of a structure is equivalent to the bone remodeling process. Two widely used numerical examples demonstrate that the proposed approach greatly improves numerical efficiency compared with the othert well known methods for structural topology optimization in open literature. The results show that the optimal designs from the present bionic topology optimization method without use mathematical programming and numerical instability control techniques. The proposed method results in a better and faster convergence.

Abstract: s. Experiments were carried out to investigate the treatment efficiency of soot particles with a new type laboratory-scale transverse plate electrostatic precipitator (ESP). It has a ω type collecting plates which are set perpendicular to the airflow and the discharged electrodes lie alongside the collecting plates. With this structure, the drift velocity has been improved while the size of ESP has been significantly minimized. Several most important factors influenced precipitator efficiency were discussed. According to the experimental results, the collection efficiency of the transverse plate ESP is above 90%. Different influential factors have different effects on each grade of particles. ω type collecting plates make them function like a dust collector cyclone without applied voltage. It also has a collection efficiency of 47.38%.

Abstract: With the high-rise building fire accidents have increased every year, the appearance of home fire evacuation cabin has a very important significance.At first,We introduced the development status of domestic and international mine refuge Chamber and two mine refuge Chamber products which was used commonly,and analysed their merit and shortcoming,where we could get the inspiration;Then we focused on the present situation of the household refuge compartment and analysis of its shortcomings and the main problems need to be solved;Finally we put forward the design concept of the household fire refuge cabin .

Abstract: By analyzing the relationship of the design parameters of NYD contact backstop, the cross-section curve of the wedge block has been discussed as Archimedes spiral, logarithm spiral and arc. Each curve is designed optimally using MATLAB optimization toolbox. The merits and drawbacks of each curve are discussed.

Abstract: The fast moving construction made use of the advantages that can be installed utilizing a container house and container buildings are developed and used for various purposes. In this paper, the advantages and disadvantages in a container housing was analyzed through present status and technology. Then, the form, kind, and structure of container housing were examined, container housing can be activated in the future is to propose ways. Then, research team proposed to promote container housing supply with a short duration and cost, eco-friendly to make use of the advantages, the various modules and institutional development in various areas.

Abstract: Frame is an important bearing part of Pavement Accelerated Loading Experimental Facility. Static strength analysis of frame was made under four conditions by finite element analysis software ABAQUS. The four conditions are bending, twisting, emergency braking and urgent turning in full load. The frame strength and stiffness were analyzed and the stress distribution and displacement were got. According to the conclusion, the structure improvement suggestions are put forward such as increasing the beam thickness, adding cross beams between the side beams in the dangerous section. These suggestions can improve the design quality and enhance the facility safety.

Abstract: Isolation as an effective means of shock absorption in some of the earthquake to show good performance and has been increasingly applied to practical engineering. However, it had a negative impact on long-period structures and isolated structures seismic performance in near the earthquake zone. Meanwhile, in the vicinity of near-fault for the torsion response of plane irregular base-isolated structure can not be ignored. Therefore, the paper uses the universal finite element software to analyse irregular plane isolated structure’ collapsed performance and anti-seismic structure’ collapsed performance under the near fault ground motion. The results show that plane irregular non-isolated structures appear earlier than the isolated structures of plastic hinge and easier to collapse.

Abstract: Non-linear finite element model of prestressed steel reinforced concrete(PSRC) beams were carried out by using software ABAQUS. The effects of the parameters of non-prestressed reinforcement ratio, prestressed reinforcement ratio, effective prestressed force and non-prestressed tendons yield strength on the ultimate strength and ductility of PSRC beam were investigated. It is found that increase of the tension reinforcement ratio has little impact on the ultimate deflection but can improve the ultimate capacity of PSRC beam. Increase of the prestressed steel ratio can significantly improve the cracking load, stiffness and ultimate capacity of PSRC beam. The effective prestressed force can improve the bearing capacity of PSRC beam.
