Abstract: The efficient motion estimation algorithms are the important research hotspot in the real-time video coding-decoding technology. This paper proposes a novel and simple fast motion estimation algorithm based on adaptive search-pattern. The new algorithm includes three schemes: stationary block prediction, predictive search for non-stationary blocks, choosing a starting point and adaptive refinement search in merging process. Experiments show that the efficient motion estimation algorithm proposed can further reduce the computations of block-matching while improve the compression effect.

Abstract: The paper describes the design and application cryptographic algorithm of SMS4 and Camellia by using the FPGA partial reconfiguration technology. The design and simulation implement on Xilinx VirtexII-Pro XC2VP30 FPGA development board, and the test results show the validation of design. SMS4 uses the 1061 slices and Camellia uses 2148 slices. The UART test platform we developed is use to verify the reconfiguration status and results. The reconfiguration algorithm shows the balance between high performance and low complexity in area. The theoretical and practical research of dynamic partial reconfiguration has a broad space for development and application prospect in information security domain.

Abstract: The closed form of pair-wise error probability analysis of space-time-frequency (STF) coding in MIMO-OFDM system is provided. The matrix of STF and channel multiplexing is established. The impact of STF and channel multiplexing matrix on pair-wise error probability of system is analyzed. The optimal structure of STF and channel multiplexing matrix for minimization of pair-wise error probability of system is analyzed. Finally, the computer simulation of pair-wise error probability about spatial correlation MIMO channel is providedThis document explains and demonstrates how to prepare your camera-ready manuscript for Trans Tech Publications. The best is to read these instructions and follow the outline of this text. The text area for your manuscript must be 17 cm wide and 25 cm high (6.7 and 9.8 inches, resp.). Do not place any text outside this area. Use good quality, white paper of approximately 21 x 29 cm or 8 x 11 inches (please do not change the document setting from A4 to letter). Your manuscript will be reduced by approximately 20% by the publisher. Please keep this in mind when designing your figures and tables etc.

Abstract: A file encryption system based on fingerprint-embedded storage is proposed in this paper. The system uses the MBF200 to carry out the collection of fingerprints, uses the embedded chip ARM2410 to process and store the fingerprints as a hardware platform, and customs the man-machine interfaces for the processes of file encryption and decryption on the host side in accordance with the needs of development. Experimental results show that the system is easy to operate, with high stability, versatility, fast speed and high precision in the fingerprint acquisition.

Abstract: A new classification algorithm of M-ary FSK signals based on the extraction of signals features is presented in this paper. The implementation of the methodology does not require any apriori information. By extracting some basic features of intermediate frequency signals both in time domain and frequency domain, the classification of M-ary FSK signals is achieved. Simulation result shows that the proposed algorithm can classify 2FSK, 4FSK and 8FSK signals effectively under AWGN and and still keeps a good performance even at low input SNR.

Abstract: Based on the phase distribution which is defined in this paper, a new classification algorithm of M-ary phase shift keying (PSK) signals is proposed. To classify the modulation type of the M-ary PSK signal, the phase distribution of the unclassified signal is calculated firstly, and then the characters of the signal modulation are extracted by computing the FFT of the phase distribution. Moreover, the method is improved in this paper that it is extended to MPSK baseband signals with frequency offset, and the calculation complexity is reduced. Simulation result shows that the accuracy rate of the classification of BPSK, QPSK and 8PSK signals can reach 98.5% when the symbol length is 500, SNR is 3dB, and 16PSK signals can also be well classified when the SNR improves to 9dB.

Abstract: As an active research topic, many algorithms have been presented for face recognition. However, they mainly utilize the monochromatic intensity information. Among a few color face recognition methods, most of them treat the three channels separately. In this paper, a color face image is treated in a holistic manner by using the quaternion theory. We then propose a new algorithm for color face recognition, which uses the quaternion Zernike moment invariants and the quaternion BP neural network for the color face recognition. Experimental results on the Collection of Facial Images (Grimace) database, including major expression variation and considerable variation in head turn and tilt, show that the proposed method is better than the conventional ones in recognition rate.

Abstract: Interactive group conversation is very important for improvement of cognitive function and prevention of dementia. Interactive means that all the participants participate equally and actively into group conversation. How to make group conversation more interactive for all participants is a challenging task. Main purpose of this study is to develop the system that assists group conversation, which is capable of dealing with following things, face detection and recognition, speech certain contents recognition, repetition or re-voice of supportive responses based on the result of speech contents recognition, and sound source localization using less sensory environment. We did dialogue experiments with arbitrary pairs among seven young adults and analyzed 14 dialogue data for calculating correct recognition rate of face and speech certain contents, for synthesizing speech based on the result of recognition, and for calculating sound source. The performance of the developed system was preliminary verified through the experimental results. The developed system can be used as a basis of assisting group conversation.

Abstract: The failure correlation among components is the general characteristic in the reliability engineering. Copula theories are used to describe the correlation among the lifetimes of components, and to build the models to calculate the reliability of typical non-repairable and repairable k/n (F) systems involving failure correlation. In this presented model, the concept of one step state transition matrix in minimal time difference tt+t is given for the repairable systems, and common cause failure, the general continuous distributions for working times and repair times are all took account. Finally, the estimation methods of the correlation scalar parameter and selection criterion for copulas are also given.

Abstract: In the search for a new method of feature tracking of vector field, Theisel and Seidel proposed the concept of feature flow field [, In their paper, a flat time-varying flow field and multi-vortex structure, vortex will automatically extract and track based on the concept of feature flow field. The method used for tracking the vortex core flow line integral, by extracting the vortex areas of flow field to determine the vortex core range, precision tracking vortex core in the three-dimensional feature flow field and recording the specific path of evolution in the integrand flow line. The new algorithm using the flow line can describe the dynamic behavior of characteristics of vector field. The evolution of the flow field is more intuitive to observe the evolution of different periods, which laid the basis for visualization.
