Abstract: In the paper, the problem of achieving Pareto optimal solutions set with application of the elaborated Multi Objectives Immune Algorithm is presented. The Pareto frontier provides a variety of compromise solutions for contradictive criteria to a decision maker. We propose the application of the selection based on the Pareto optimality to maintain solutions with great diversity in an immune memory. Stimulation and suppression mechanisms are used to control the diversity of generated solutions. Computer simulations are done for a job shop scheduling problem.

Abstract: This article analyses the process of warming a metal by using a walking beam furnace. This process is meant to offer the technologist objective information that may allow him to produce eventual modifications of the temperature references from the furnaces zones. Thus making the metals temperature at the furnaces exit to have an imposed distribution, within precise limits, according to the technological requests. This industrial process has a geometrical parameters distribution, more precisely it can be described through a partial differential equation, by being attached to dynamic infinite dimensional systems (or with distributed parameters). Using a procedure called geometric-time discretization (in the condition of the solutions convergence), we have managed to obtain a representation under the form of a finite discrete dimensional linear system for a process with distributed parameters.

Abstract: The paper presents the main methods of technical-economical analysis of the quality of the metallic material production. The technical - economical analysis of the electric steels quality can be processed both for the product (electric steel) and for the company (electric steelworks). Both the analysis methods for products (A) and the ones for companies (B) are presented in comparison. There are mainly presented and analyzed a specific analysis models for steels elaboration in Electric Arc Furnace (EAF). The main elements specific to the two categories of analysis methods, including mathematical models. The quality of the steels elaborated in the EAF is a very important parameter. From this point of view, there is the need of analyzing the electric steels quality in various methods, including by technical-economical ones. The technical - economical analysis of the electric steels quality can be processed both for the product (electric steel) and for the company (electric steelworks). For the technical - economical analysis for the electric steels quality, we can use two methods: methods of the analysis for the products quality (MAPQ); methods of the analysis for the companys (MACQ).

Abstract: The research and development (R&D) processes influence the economic development of a company, because in an industry that is changing fast, firms must continually revise their projects and range of products. The novelty of the paper is that it focuses on determining components of cost and the duration of the R & D processes in its cost calculation procedure. The originality of this work is the use of Monte Carlo simulation to determine the average length of producing a new product.

Abstract: The project is defined as an ensemble coordinated by some activities accomplished in order to reach a well determined purpose, namely the project defines a process. Quality management in projects includes the processes necessary for providing the fact that the project satisfies the necessities it had been accomplished for. The quality planning function must remain present throughout the project life cycle. The settlement of the main (strategic) objective of the project and of the lower objectives together with the establishment of the methods by means of which these objectives are reached represent the quality planning in projects. After fixing quality strategic objective of the project it pass to the first major process of quality management in projects and namely to the quality of the planning projects.

Abstract: The paper deals with an updated Greiners model, defining its final stage, Development through Alliance, in the frame of actual knowledge based economy, and with introduction and characterization of its final crisis, Incompatibility crisis. The research method is based on analysis of SMEs characteristics that use concentrated energies technologies, correlated with characteristics of actual economy. This led to some elements of the final stage of Greiners model, which were developed together with managerial methods of organizational development as well as solutions to avoid or ameliorate the final crisis of Incompatibility, applied to SMEs, using the approached technologies. It was also identified a trend concerning small and medium enterprises (SMEs) evolution from Romania, which use concentrated energies technologies. Some generic development solutions for the mentioned organizations in actual economy are provided.

Abstract: Patent Intelligence analysis provides an overview of the patent activity in the technical fields and giving insights into the competitors` pipeline and is a starting point for preparing own product, intellectual property strategies and development efforts. The Patent Intelligence analysis help to discover new application, serving catalyst a new thinking and creative approaches to business problem or identifying strategic growth opportunities.

Abstract: Due to the fact that there isnt a clear definition of the terms neural network" and "neuronal network" [1,2], the current paper aims to establish it by a range of comparative research. With the help of some charts, based on the structure of some SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises), the parts that define the structure of the neuron will be compared with the general structure of an organization, in order to reproduce the neuron in the structuring level of an organization and give a meaning to the term of "organizational neuron. Sometimes it is necessary to take managerial decisions under uncertainty and / or risk, so any method that gives forecasting information to the manager is welcome [3,4]. It is considered that the use of Artificial Neural Network (ANN) can be constituted (embodiments of many other methods) in an appropriate instrument for taking the correct decisions in the organizational management. As a result, a case on how to use an ANN will be presented, based on certain characteristics of a company. It aims at presenting how a biological neuron will be transposed into an artificial neuron (people or departments within the company) and its reproduction at a structure level of the organization (functions of the nucleus, axon, dendrites, and so on).

Abstract: In a technological system, the design has to be thought so that all the possible faults to be mitigated or avoided both in conceptual design and embodiment design phases. This is an ideal point of view because in reality the faults are present and sometimes it is a cumbersome task to find all the possible events and their causes. As a way to help these this paper presents the possibility to use the axiomatic design FR-DP decomposition in order to define the events from a Fault Tree Analyze, its construction, a combination of these two giving results that can be interesting for both methods.

Abstract: The article presents the strategic positions of 140 critical materials surface engineering technologies. Critical technologies are such having the best development prospects and/or key significance in industry for the assumed time horizon. For the purpose of preparing forecasts and analyses, expert studies were carried out comprised of three stages with the e-Delphix method. The strategic positions of the technologies were expressed with numbers and entered into the matrix of strategies for technologies consisting of 16 fields.
