Abstract: This paper reports on the contact angle measurement analysis on a glass based surface for anodic bonding process cleaned by three distinct cleaning processes. The three types of glass based surface used were silica, pyrex, and soda lime glass. The three cleaning solutions tested in this experiment were RCA, piranha and acetone. Water Droplet Test (WDT) was done to analyze the contact angle of micro droplet on sample surface. It can be done by dropping a droplet of water in constant volume at the fixed height and angle. Only RCA process constantly decreases the contact angle value after cleaning. The compilations of data strongly proved that all samples become hydrophilic after RCA cleaning process. The solid surface is considered hydrophilic when water contact angle is smaller than 90°, and hydrophobic profile if the water contact angle is larger than 90°. Samples which undergo piranha and acetone cleaning did not prove any characteristic of hydrophilic or hydrophobic surface after cleaning.

Abstract: In order to weld the skin and skeleton of bus roof, it analysis the welding process of bus Outer Roof-panels , and specify the weld area and solder joint distance of outer roof-panel firstly , then built a single-sided double-point resistance welding experiment platform for bus outer roof-panels, the platform consists of guide、gantry、gantry moving mechanism、 pneumatic torch、electrode support mechanism、transformers、torch lateral movement organizations and torch longitudinal movement phenomenon . it set the unevenness of the skin and the skeleton as 1mm, single-sided double-point resistance welding experiment was conducted on the welding experiment platform. The experimental results of welding area visual examination and tear experiments indicate that welding heat will penetrate the skeleton when the welding current is greater than 11.0KA;the welding Reliability of galvanized steel is better than low carbon steel.

Abstract: Preliminary analysis has been done on the reflectance of sputtered Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) layers. The analysis is done for two different types of layers which is the directly sputtered ITO films and the treated ITO films. In both type of the film it is divided into the thickness of the layer and deposition time. Analysis is done using Perkin Elmer Lambda 950 UV/Vis/NIR Spectrophotometer. The working spectral range is from 250 nm to 800 nm (for transmittance), covering the ultra-violet (UV) and visible spectrum. Results shows thatthe directly deposited thin ITO films had lower reflectance compared to the thick films. The reflectance of the thick films with three and four layers was high (95%) compared to the rest of the films. The treated films produce very low reflectance.

Abstract: More broken wires was found in No.3 mooring line of "Hai Yang Shi You115"FPSO by the underwater detection. Through the chemical composition analysis, mechanical property testing, fracture analysis, metallographic examination methods, the reason of the broken wire are obtained. The results show that the material of mooring line steel cable mechanical performance is general up to the design spcifications. The broken wire fracture is relatively serious wear and all the sent samples of the present wear trace shape is consistent. It should be the same kind of wear the way by damage and reduced the steel wire tensile strength, lead to fracture.

Abstract: A study on the resistance of directly sputtered films and treated films of Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) is done to initiate an extensive study on the material. This study involves variation in terms of number of layers and duration of deposition. Treated films are produced by undergoing annealing process which is carried out using Split Type Tube Furnace. Resistance measurements were carried out using Semiconductor Parametric Analyzer (SPA). Results show that the directly sputtered ITO films produced lower resistance compared to the treated ITO films.

Abstract: The ultrasonic sensor array based on building material strength measurement system design method was proposed in order to solve the traditional reinforced concrete structure strength testing system is complicated measurement problem. The system through the design based on the sensor array architecture signal acquisition hardware module to the building materials ultrasonic echo for acquisition, software design, acquisition reinforced concrete structure ultrasonic information parameters, calculate building materials strength performance.System testing results show that the system improves the reinforced concrete structure strength performance measurement accuracy.

Abstract: Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) can transform its shape back to its original shape when subjected to a thermomechanical process. Applications of SMA in the bone fixation have been successful due the material’s ability to exhibit Shape Memory Effect (SME) as well as biocompatibility. A good design of bone fixation device made of SMA is capable of exerting a constant compressive force to the bone fracture while remains inert to the environment inside the host’s body. This study presents the application of SMA in bone fixation devices. These include SMA suturing devices, OSStaple, SMA patellar concentrator and SMA embracing fixator.

Abstract: Cutting properties of interpenetrating network composites are important to ensure machining quality. The cutting force signals were measured by resistance strain gage of octagonal ring style and data acquisition and processing system. The results show that the cutting forces are affected by cutting conditions. To average cutting forces of interpenetrating network composites, the laws are basically consistent with that of the traditional materials. Because of the reinforced phase, the sudden cutting forces arise in cutting process whose values are relate to cutting parameters and reinforced phase dimensions.

Abstract: An initial study has been conducted to characterize the surface morphology of treated Indium Tin Oxide (ITO). Treatment done is annealing process where the samples are put through heat and annealed for an hour. Time of deposition and layers of ITO has been varied to study the correlation between both. The treated ITO are examined under Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) for the surface roughness and the grain size. Results shows that deposition time of ITO do play an important role in determining a desired grain size in ITO material.
