Abstract: The purpose of this article is to present the description of the process of the dynamic balancing of threshing drum in combine harvesters as well as the sources of imbalance. The dynamic balancing analysis was carried out in production facility on dynamic balancing machine. Dynamic balancing of slats of the combine harvester threshing drum was determined by reference to the specified mass dynamic unbalance. The article also presents the influence of unbalanced machine elements on the human body.

Abstract: The paper presents the contribution in engineering of surfaces particularly in surface texture of Austenitic Stainless Steels. The objective of the investigation was to determine the surface texture of austenitic stainless steel after turning with coated carbide tool point. The investigation included geometrical parameters of Surface Integrity for different technological cutting parameters in dry turning process of austenitic stainless steel. The article presents the surface roughness parameters with the roughness profiles (irregular slopes). The percentage of isotropic surfaces and Bearing Area of Primary Model. Analyses were performed for variable cutting parameters. An Infinite Focus Measurement Machine (IFM) was used for the surface texture analysis. The study was performed within a production facility during the machining of electric motor parts and deep-well pumps.

Abstract: Sustainable manufacturing in most developed countries is one of principal goals in today manufacturing industry. The reduction in use of oil-based CLFs is most ecologically important task of machining processes. The paper presents the contribution in engineering of surfaces particularly in surface morphology of Stainless Steels. The objective of the investigation was to determine the surface texture of duplex stainless steel after turning with coated carbide tool point. The investigation included geometrical parameters of Surface Integrity for different cutting parameters in dry turning process of duplex stainless steel.

Abstract: This paper presents design of portal that improves controlling of sales channel at initial conditions. The customer needed to display key performance indicators on the portal and thus significantly improve the efficiency of business processes after the deployment of Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011. The aim of this paper is to choose appropriate technology to create a portal and design possible architecture of solution. Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 with Web Application Microsoft SharePoint platform provide a solution for process control of business processes in company that is primarily offered like as the best solution. On the other hand, we found the possibility of open source content management system DotNetNuke, which meets customer's requirements and therefore, there is a possibility to reduce financial costs when selecting this system. Finally, we evaluated considered technologies, prepared more price variations of architecture and compared advantages and disadvantages of these variations.

Abstract: In this article we want to introduce our first tested concept of a learning mechanism for smart homes. It is a number of interrelated algorithms that search the database of events in the home automation system. By searching, mechanism selects those events that at the time repeated several times under well-defined rules. Finally creates a database of basic rules, some basic knowledge database of activities. These can then serve as the management rules or may be further examined for activity recognition.

Abstract: The contribution deals with the possibilities of the use of existing commercially available vectorization programs for recognition drawing entities in raster graphics format obtained by scanning of the engineering drawing. Drawing entities as a line (solid, dashed, dot-dashed etc.), dimension, hatch, various symbols, text, etc., have specific semantic for the designer defined by standards. Expert knows to interpret this graphic language and he knows to create a mental model of the real object. To be able interpret digital content of the engineering drawing obtained by scanning by the form of 3D computer model often requires to perform many intelligent operations. In the first step it is necessary to obtain such vector representation of the scanned drawing to be able to identify the original drawing entities. Suitability of using the contemporary commercial vectorizing programs for engineering drawings was verified on the test sample of the drawing entities and the results are published in the paper.

Abstract: This paper deals with research in a computer simulation of the manufacturing processes. This article propose a platform for final users when doing experiment with a processes simulation models. The propose platform is called “user friendly”. A module for a final users is not universal but is a midi-universal. The midi-universal module cooperates with the computer simulation software, especially for this experiment has been used software called “Witness”. A platform for multi-criteria analysis is made in a Visual Basic software.

Abstract: Every person is surrounded by different things with various time of consumption. The most of people sees a product life cycle from a marketing point of view. The product has got to prosper on the market place and to earn money for the organisation and to be cheap for the customer. However, the market has changed dramatically. Organisations have not adapted on these conditions yet. The article tries to assess different views on the product life cycle according to publications. The need of an adjustment of the product life cycle is described here with regard to the process approach in management systems of organisations. Another resource of knowledge for products is based on years of observation of the nature. There are also discussed general requirements for the product from a common domestic customer. The goal of this article is to contribute to a new approach to the product life cycle, which includes all these aspects. Products have to get closer to the concept of the sustainable living as a way overcoming of the crisis. They can not be conceived only grossly economically.

Abstract: Considerable pressure on quality of the business processes, their continual improvement and increasing of their efficiency is reflected in the requirements on graduates of technical universities and hence the educational systems. According to the industrial sector demand the "process" holistic thinking is being more and more discussed. It emphasizes the practical form of the teaching. The current challenge is becoming the Problem Based Learning (PBL) and its potential to gain truly practical experience in solving problematic tasks. PBL is thus getting involved into the teaching plans of more schools. The paper briefly discusses the innovative educational concept of "Learning Company" (EduCom). The concept is based on the current requirements of the industry on recruited employees and introduces the elements of problem-oriented teaching. The aim is to link the selected tutorials into a single project where the outputs of one course are the inputs of another course. The paper describes the existing experience with introducing the concept, its benefits, but also the problems that workers encountered. The planned activities for the development of the described concept will be mentioned as well.

Abstract: The paper deals with the issue of increasing production processes efficiency, stabilization and also increasing the labor productivity through the implementation of lean manufacturing principles. Waste reduction and increase in the efficiency of manufacturing processes is a long-term, systematic matter, which requires the utilization of appropriate methods and methodologies. Therefore, this papers points out the growing importance of utilizing certain methods and principles which lead to the reduction of inefficient costs. The Value Stream Mapping (VSM) method, which can quickly point out existing reserves and provides an effective platform for the evaluation of lean manufacturing and Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) method, which evaluates the effectiveness of used manufacturing equipment are, both analyzed in detail.
