Abstract: Automatic cotton picker was widely used in contemporary cotton production operations, moreover, the farmers prefer to small cotton picker, and picking mechanism is the most important parts of cotton picker, therefore, the research on the movement of picking mechanism is very important. This paper introduced a new kind of the opposite-two-rows type automatic cotton picker, analyzed its operating principle, and made a theoretical derivation of the equations of motion of the picking mechanism, the obtained results can provide theoretical guidance for the design of picking mechanism of cotton picker.

Abstract: Based on the motion equation of the planetary gear trains, this paper proposes an improved lever method on the original lever method. The structure and the transmission scheme of Toyota A761E’s AT were analyzed by using the improved lever method. Aiming at the deficiencies of the original structure, a kind of new 7-speed AT was designed. By only using 6 shifting actuators, it not only simplifies the automatic transmission’s structure and widens the speed range, but also improves the shifting smoothness and achieves the effects of energy saving and environmental protection.

Abstract: Recently, variousresearches and developments of heat exchangers with high thermal efficiencyhave been in progress to save energy. Baffles are used as design variables in a way that enhancesheat transfer performance of shell and tube heat exchanger. There have beenvarious of researches and developments in the relations between baffles andheat transfer performance. Existing studies on shell and tube heat exchangersare mainly about heat transfer properties of either segmental type baffles orhelical baffles. However, there is inadequateof study with comparisons between the two types ofbaffles. Thus, this paper aims to research changes in heat transfer properties according to thenumber of segmental and helical baffles. It shows pressure drop, temperaturedifference of inlet and outlet, heating surface area of inner flow region, andheat transfer coefficient in tubes.

Abstract: The capillary filling speed of ferrofluid in hydrophilic polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) microfluidic channels is investigated under various temperature and magnetic field conditions. Microchannels with a depth of 100 μm and widths ranging from 100 to 400 μm are fabricated using conventional photolithography techniques and an oxygen plasma bonding process. The capillary filling speed of the ferrofluid is measured experimentally and compared with that of DI water. It is found that the filling speed of the ferrofluid is significantly lower than that of DI water. Moreover, the filling speed reduces with a reducing channel width, an increasing ferrofluid concentration, a lower operating temperature, and an increased filling length. By contrast, the filling speed increases under the effects of an external magnetic field.

Abstract: Currently, the research of marine dual fuel engine is rare, while the combustion process of marine dual fuel engine is no precise conclusion. This paper built a combustion model of dual fuel engine by AVL FIRE software, and compared experimental data to prove the accuracy of the model, analyzed the characteristics in combustion process of marine dual fuel engines, provided a theoretical basis for the further optimize and design of marine dual fuel engine.

Abstract: According to a brand of heavy truck’s under protection device, using CATIA surface modeling functions , this article assessed the performance of the rear under-run protection device. Study the performance of the rear under-run protection device by doing width offset collision simulation. A new energy absorption type under-run protection device is designed which can improve the energy absorption property. By vehicle rear-end collision simulations the optimized feasibility of protective devices is verified.

Abstract: Dueto the shortage of domestic and foreign books sorting machine, the innovativedesign for the book sorting device is carried out with a small volume, lowcost, high efficiency characteristics by using TRIZ theory. The sorting deviceconsists of lifting platform device and trolley rail unit, and it greatlyreduces the size and cost of production and sorts books into 22x9 categories, soit has larger applications prospect in college library. Research andapplication of TRIZ theory in mechanical product innovation design has a veryimportant theoretical and realistic significance.
