Abstract: Region around slope-toe about to yield and fail in advance due to stress concentration. An implement scheme of reinforcement is discussed in this paper following systematic calculation of specific parameters, in which cable-bolts spacing, dip angle, force and length of anchorage included. Application of this method results in effectively reinforcement of slope by containing plastic area at toe and sliding face.

Abstract: The RC beam damage induced by blast loading might lead to partial or total collapse of bridges. Improved understanding of damage mechanism of the RC beam under blast loading helps advances in the analysis and assessment of bridge damage effects. In this paper, the damage mechanism of prestressed reinforced concrete (PRC) T-beam under close-in blast loading is investigated numerically with a three-dimensional numerical model. The model is validated by comparing simulating results with the experimental data reported by other researchers. Intensive numerical simulations are then carried out to reproduce the damage process of the T-beam as well as to investigate the damage mode and mechanism of the PRC T-beam components.

Abstract: Hydrological phenomena in nature are always complex processes. Among the studies of hydrology, prediction of runoff from rainfall is a major issue. This is caused by highly nonlinear relationship, variability of spatial and temporal factors (DIMITRI & KHADA, 2003). Additionally, the data for rainfall in long periods tend to be more available than the record of flow (Sajikumar & Thandaveswara, 1999). Therefore, in order to get precise estimates of runoff, rainfall-runoff models are required. This paper describes three types of rainfall-runoff model and the main calibration methods .

Abstract: The paper includes the following models for nonlinear structural analysis purpose: (1) uniaxial spring mode (or one-component model);(2) multi-axial spring model (MS model). Moment-curvature relation model considers distributed nonlinearity as well. By specifying the relation of moment and curvature at critical sections, it is not a discretized-section but similar to the uniaxial model in including no interaction among bending and axial tension/compression. This paper describes the models and presents the related formula.

Abstract: In order to make a reasonable evaluation of highway traffic safety facilities, a comprehensive evaluation method based on set pair analysis was proposed. An evaluation system of freeway traffic safety facilities was established. Combined with relevant norms and standards, each indicator in the evaluation system was divided and a reasonable threshold has been set. Through the calculation of the connection degree of ‘identicalness, differentness and reverse’, the maximum connection degree criterion was used to judge the evaluation results of freeway traffic safety facilities. Finally a case study was conducted to verify the proposed evaluation method. The case study shows that the selected highway traffic safety facilities are at a good level and this method can provide scientific decision basis for highway traffic facility renovation.

Abstract: In this paper, the GIS-based city planning including spatial decision support, planning content and target were analyzed and discussed according to the characteristics of healthy city and the needs of sustainable development. The main contradiction during healthy city construction in China is the contradiction between economic growth and the effective use of ecological resources in the industrialization process. The construction of healthy city is aimed at improving human health level and making the city development in a benign track.

Abstract: Based on the quasi-static test of single-layer, two-bay RC frame model, using DIANA finite element program, a finite element Macro-model of masonry-infilled frame structure was established, and nonlinear finite element analysis of frame structures filled with different masonry materials was conducted. As a result of the existence of infill walls, the failure modes of frame structure have been changed, and which is easy to cause shear failure at the top of frame columns. If masonry materials of infill walls are different, the effects of infill panels on frame structures will be different. Comparative analysis shows that the influence of clay bricks is the largest, followed by autoclaved bricks’ influence, while aerated concrete blocks’ influence is the smallest. Therefore, to avoid the associated failure mechanism caused by infill walls, lightweight masonry materials are suggested to be used in actual engineering.

Abstract: In this paper, system view of environment, sustainable development theory and the theory of science of human settlements are introduced into design research. The method of combining theoretical and empirical research is proposed. Through the two main scenic areas of public space and urban culture, the issue of integrated design of urban public building and environment are researched in deep.

Abstract: This paper analyzes the significance of building design from the architectural design and urban relations, architecture and cultural relations, architecture and human relations. The residential building design idea of western area is put forward which reflects the comfort, rationality and unity. According to the Western climate conditions, design of multi-storey residential building must be consistent with the western people's living habits as the basis, to meet the different needs of people living in Western regions.

Abstract: This paper introduces the features and key points of construction of high-rise buildings. Combined with the practical application, the technology of concrete construction is put forward, as well as the control method of concrete pouring quality. According to the specific conditions of construction site, the construction method of foundation from shallow to deep is adapted. The different placement scheme and technical measures are made.
