Abstract: In order to analyze the difference of the level of new-type and traditional urbanization of Shandong province, 20 indexes were selected involving economic, society and environment, etc, and principal component analysis was applied to calculate the score of the new-type urbanization levels of the 108 cities in Shandong in 2008 and 2013, and GIS was applied to analyze the spatial distribution of the levels. The results show that the cities whose new-type urbanization level is higher than that of traditional urbanization are located at the east of Shandong peninsula urban agglomeration, and the cities whose new-type urbanization level is lower than that of traditional urbanization are located at the north-west and south-west of the province in both 2008 and 2012.

Abstract: Combining with the national development direction of the new rural construction and taking a residential energy conservation design of a district in Qinhuangdao as an example, the energy conservation design of building envelope and the energy consumption index were quantified. In accordance with the requirements of energy consumption by 65% in the building energy conservation design standard, the feasibility of the scheme and the sustainability of residential development were demonstrated for the reference of similar building engineering designs.

Abstract: The low carbon sustainable residential evaluation system devotes to saving energy, reducing emission, and optimizing the living environment, which plays a key role in coping with global warming and the sustainable development of human. It was introduced and analyzed comprehensively the most representative international residential appraisal systems—British Code for Sustainable House, American LEED, Japanese CASBEE, Chinese Evaluation Standard for Green Building and Chinese Ecological Residential Assessment Manual from the aspects of development process, evaluation content, evaluation software, evaluation system marketization, public education and so forth. It was also analyze the advantages and limitations of those residential evaluation systems, and put forward the problems of the present Chinese low carbon sustainable residential assessment system and the measures to improve the future low carbon sustainable residential evaluation systems.

Abstract: Energy-saving technology has developed with the rapid development of economy in our country. Experts pay more attention to the construction of green environmental protection of energy conservation and emissions reduction in the process of urbanization. The public building is an important part of architectural design. It promotes social progress and innovation. It is not only saving the resources, alleviating the energy crisis, but also improves people’s life quality for using energy-saving technology in public construction projects. We can improve the overall quality of construction projects and reduce the waste of resources in public construction projects. Based on the case of the cultural center of Shanghai Expo, we analyzed its energy saving technology and summarized the application of energy-saving technology in the design of public buildings in China.

Abstract: According to the positive externalities and pre-public goods attribute of Chinese Green Building, it is freely to give the benefit to society, the government needs to make a policy to help the Green Building become internalization for decreasing the incremental cost, and improve the development of the Green Building. Basic the analyzing of economics of Green Building properties, and the incremental cost in whole life cycle perspective to give some government policy for reducing the incremental cost. It can provide the preference of the guidance of Green Building for government, and improving the development of Green Building.

Abstract: Construction industry consumes a high quantity of energy. In order to effectively reduce energy consumption and comprehensively promote the energy conservation of this industry, corresponding governmental policies are required for restraint and guidance. Through the study of the infancy, development and intensification of energy conservation policies in construction industry, this paper analyses the effects and defects the policies at those diverse stages, discusses the development policies which has promoted energy conservation in China’s construction industry, and proposes specific suggestions for policy making, which help ease the tense relationship between economic development and energy shortage, and realize the sustainable development of construction industry.

Abstract: This paper mainly focuses on the application of Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) in building sector and also makes some analysis and discussions on its development. Combining with the characteristics of China’s EPC in building sector, this paper analyses and elaborates on the obstacles that we may face in the process of its development, puts forward some suggestions on the basis of comprehensive analysis, in order to provide reference for the development of China’s EPC on architectural field.

Abstract: The chiller’s operating energy consumption accounts for large proportion in energy consumption of air conditioning system. There are kinds of strategies can be used in the multiple chillers system. When running according to the load control of the chiller, different starting point and operating condition will affect the total energy consumption. Different operating conditions are put forward for a building chilled water system. According to simulate and analysis different operating condition, the optimum operation condition is concluded.

Abstract: Oxygen transfer through the air entrainment over the stepped weir by the flow types was presented through the laboratory experiments. In the nappe flow, dominant flow features included an enclosed air pocket, a free-falling nappe impact and subsequent hydraulic jump on the downstream step. Most air was entrained through a free-falling nappe impact and a hydraulic jump. In the skimming flow, air entrainment occurs from the step edges. Downstream of the inception point, the flow is highly aerated at each and every step with very significant splashing. The average values of the oxygen transfer efficiency in the region of the nappe flow and of the skimming flow are about 0.40 and 0.28, respectively. The stepped type of the weir was found to be efficient for water treatment associated with substantial air entrainment.
