Abstract: Low carbon economy index can objectively measure and guide the region allow carbon economic development, in China's transition to a low carboneconomy, low carbon economy development index description is not unified, at the same time, there is no method for objective evaluation of various low carbon economy index system. Through the study of the existing domestic and foreign low carbon economy index system, in-depth analysis of the index system, establishes a set of objective evaluation method of quantitative evaluation index system of low carbon economy, and on this basis, put forward our country in the development of low carbon economy in the course of the transformation of the economic mode of development, increase investment in science and technology, the adjustment of energy consumption structure, optimize the industrial structure, the development of carbon sequestration potential of proposed measures.

Abstract: At present, research on energy-saving and emissions reduction is still mainly theoretical construction and not much quantitative research on evaluation, particularly study of the empirical analysis on the provinces and the national is rarely. In order to arrange energy-saving and emissions-reduction better, achieve the strategic target for energy-saving and emission-reduction, improve production environments, make comprehensive use of resources and develop circular economy, the establishment of a comprehensive and perfect evaluation system of province-wide energy-saving and emission-reduction is of great significance both to the region and the country. This thesis attempts to build up a set of 19 indicators specific indicators system, can basically achieve targets for the quantitative evaluation of province-wide energy-saving and emission-reduction.

Abstract: According to the problems that the coalbed methane resource was rich in deep seam in China, but the economic and technology conditions were limited, it would be hard to mine with a conventional method. The CO2 capture, utilization and storage technology was provided (CO2-ECBM). The application of the technology would not only improve the methane recovery ratio from deep and unminable layer, but also put CO2 effectively in the deep layer for storage to reach a target of reducing emission. The study showed that a coal rank, coal seam pressure, coal seam permeability, injection time, injected gas types and others would affect to the recovery ratio of methane in a production mine. Therefore, before we use this technology, a rational evaluation should be conducted on the place location. So the capture and storage technology of CO2 has an important significance in protecting the natural environment.

Abstract: Global warming is one of the biggest environment challenges in front of human today. The earth’s atmosphere and clouds have the function of insulation, making the earth maintain a certain temperature in the night. The earth is in a serious greenhouse effect due to increasing pollution. The paper explains how to deal with and curb global warming.

Abstract: South Korea is implementing policies to save energy and reduce greenhouse gases. As presented in the 4th report of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), buildings have high potential for reducing greenhouse gases, and energy consumption in buildings is actually increasing. Buildings can be classified into the home, commercial, and public sectors. Among these, effects of the greenhouse gas reduction policy for residential buildings, which correspond to the home sector, are difficult to expect because they depend on voluntary participation. An analysis of the related practices showed that the potential greenhouse gas reduction until 2014 is 1,314 tCO2/yr, but the expected greenhouse gas emissions of residential buildings constructed only this year (2014) amount to 37,984 tCO2/yr. Greenhouse gas reduction effects in residential buildings are difficult to expect from current practices. Therefore, practical programs to improve energy efficiency for existing and new buildings are required.

Abstract: Promoting sustainable landscape planning has become an important policy goal in China. However, how and to what extent can the spatial patterns and changes of landscape in the urban fringe areas be systematically identified and managed is a critical research issue which requires in-depth research investigation. Using the pilot study region of the proposed Shenzhen low carbon eco-city as a case setting, this study explicitly examines the changes of landscape patterns by using Remote Sensing (RS) and selected landscape metrics. The result shows that there is a trend of decrease in green space parches and an increase in landscape fragmentation of the study region. The overall structure of green space in the region is also affected by urbanization and industrial development of the region. Considering the fact that the structure and diversity of landscape and green space are important for building an eco-city, the results reveal that more comprehensive green space policies and urban policies that preserve important ecological patches and corridors should be developed to enhance the overall ecological function of the region.
