Abstract: (1-x)(0.6BIT-0.4BT)-xBiYbO3(BTBY) ceramics with high Curie temperature were prepared by the conventional processing. The effect of BiYbO3 content on the microstructure and electrical properties was investigated. The results show that the main phase of BTBY ceramics is BIT-BT, and a new phase BaBi4Ti4O15 (BBT) appeared. The grain morphology of BTPY ceramics are platelike and the grain size was significantly increased with increasing content of BiYbO3 .Tc of all the BTBY samples are above 440 . The BTBY ceramics show obvious dielectric relaxor characteristic. The dispersion factor γ, the dielectric constant εr, and the dielectric loss tanδ decreased with increasing the content of BiYbO3. When the content of BiYbO3 is 0.06, the optimal properties of BTBY ceramics are obtained, Tc is 457 , εr is 165, tanδ is 0.0223 and d33 is 10 pC·N-1.

Abstract: The objective of this study is to develop an efficient washing system to remove cutting oil from machining part surface. The proposed washing system consists of two processes: the dipping process and the modified automatic ultrasonic washing process. The automatic ultrasonic washing process is redesigned and developed to reduce operating cost and increase productivity from the previously developed machine. For this proposed system, experiments have been performed to determine the washing conditions that yield satisfactory proportion of defectives due to oil contamination. Under the suggested operating conditions, the proportion of defectives due to oil contamination is reduced from 12.8% to 1.78%, which leads to $16,800 defective cost reduction. The proposed washing system yields 42.9% increase in washing productivity. Furthermore, it as has more standard procedure than the current washing process.

Abstract: The study on tension behavior of casing and dowel joint of square steel tube was carried out by using finite element analysis software ANSYS/LS-DYNA with consideration of geometric nonlinearity, material nonlinearity and contact nonlinearity. On this basis, the effects of inside tube wall thickness, main tube wall thickness, and inserting depth on failure mode, ultimate tensile load and deformation of casing and dowel joint of square steel tube was discussed. The results show that there are three types of failure modes, i.e., bolt failure, inside tube failure and main tube failure, when the joints are subjected to axial tension force. Compare to the joint with the same wall thickness of inside tube and main tube, the reduction of wall thickness of inside tube or main tube will weaken greatly the ultimate tensile load of the joint. The ultimate tensile load of casing and dowel joints is proportional to bolt shear strength, tube wall thickness, inserting depth, and tube edge length. The fruits are useful to the design and application of casing and dowel joints of square steel tube.

Abstract: To optimize production technology of oxy-fuel float glass, a series of float glass with lower sulphate contents and 1%~5% carbon contents in glass batch were prepared under simulated oxy-fuel melting conditions. Infrared spectroscopy, thermal dilatometer and microscope were used to study water content and its state in glass melts, the change of coefficient of thermal expansion of glass, the glass softening temperature and transition temperature, and the number of bubbles in glass, respectively. The results show that the change of carbon content will slightly changes the water content, thermo properties of glass and the number of bubbles in glass. With the increase of carbon content, the coefficient of thermal expansion and the water content of glass generally decrease, while the number of bubbles, the softening temperature and the glass transition temperature increase. When the content of sulphate is 2%, the glass with 2% carbon content has the biggest water content and the best fining effect.

Abstract: The numerical simulation studies on flexural behavior of casing joint of square steel tube were carried out by using finite element analysis software ANSYS/LS-DYNA with consideration of geometric nonlinearity, material nonlinearity and contact nonlinearity. On this basis, the effects of tube wall thickness, tube edge length, and inserting depth on failure mode, ultimate flexural capacity and deformation of casing joint of square steel tube was discussed. The results show that there are two types of failure modes, i.e., inside tube yield failure and outside tube shear failure, when the joints are subjected to lateral concentrated load. Ultimate flexural capacity and rigidity of casing joint of square steel tube increased with the inserting depth increasing. The ultimate flexural capacity of the joint is proportional to tube shear strength, tube wall thickness, inserting depth, and tube edge length. The fruits are useful to the design and application of casing joint of square steel tube.

Abstract: Two structures of metallic thermal protection system(TPS) for hypersonic vehicle were presented. One model was a multi-layer construction and the other has cavities in the metallic layer. Numerical simulations were conducted on the three-dimensional TPS models using CFD software of Gambit and Fluent. Two heating temperatures of 1073K and 773K with constant temperature and isothermal boundary conditions were considered. Heat transfer was treated as single conductivity and thermal radiation effect was not involved. The results of simulation investigation showed that: The metallic layer had poor capability to restrict the heat conductivity. Heat was easier to transfer across the bracket into the internal part of the TPS. The ability of cavities in metallic layer to resist heat conductivity was limited. The temperature-heating time variation pattern was similar for different external heating temperature. Internal cooling was important for the TPS. The thermal radiation effect on the TPS would be focused in further research.

Abstract: Structure, composition and control system of a novel automated balancing machine which can realize automated measurement and correction are introduced. A data acquisition card is used to obtain the real-time unbalanced signal. The magnitude of rotor’s unbalance and the mass need to be removed is calculated according to the unbalanced measurement principle. Then the feed which is needed to complete the correction is deduced. The AC servo motors with high precision and fast response are used to achieve fast and accurate unbalance measurement and correction. A prototype according to the principle is manufactured to test the thinking. Experiments proved that the unbalance reducing rate at one time correction more than 95%. It is necessary to further industrial development.

Abstract: After adopting the constitutive equations of the nonlocal elastic media in the form of Eringen, and making use of the Laplace transformation, the vibration governing equation of nonlocal elastic beam in the Kelvin media are established. Unlike classical elastic models, the stress of a point in a nonlocal model is obtained as a weighted average of the field over the spatial domain, determined by a kernel function based on distance measures. The motion equation of nonlocal elastic beam is an integral differential equation, rather than the differential equation obtained with a classical local model. Solutions for natural frequencies and modes are obtained. Numerical examples demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed method for the beam with simple boundary conditions.

Abstract: Q235-B steel plate occurs local cold-bend cracks which were inspected by macro-analysis, and it’s profile was inspected by metallurgical microscope and SEM. Serious segregation was found at portion of steel plate, moreover uneven metallurgical and thick inclusion were found. Spectrum results declared those inclusions were sulfides. Those inclusions and serious segregation were reasons that cause cracks.
