Abstract: Performance evaluation of maximum-likelihood (ML) decoded binary linear codes is usually carried out using bounding techniques. In this paper, a new upper bound is presented to improve existing union bounds. The proposed upper bounding is based on probabilities of correct events, while the traditional union bound (UB) is on pair-wise error probabilities. Moreover, the improved upper bounding uses the intersection instead of the union of basic events. The theoretical and simulation results show that the proposed bound is tight than UB.

Abstract: With the booming of generation right trade(GRT) market, the GRT risk will exert an increasingly important impact on profit of power plants. Hence, Two conditional value at risk (CVaR) models are built for generation rights sellers and buyers respectively. Then, different proportion constraints are set to discuss the influence of GRT. A conclusion can be drawn that the variances of the ratio of generation right power amount may lead to different amount of distribution in different markets as well as the changes of the efficient frontier curves.

Abstract: For direction of arrival (DOA) estimation of wideband signals, the traditional algorithms’ estimating accuracy and complexity were mainly affected by pre-estimation of DOA. By forming an angle set which elements were arithmetic progressions in the range of possible arriving angles, the algorithm used the new angle vector to replace the preliminary estimation of arriving angles. It can avoid the impact of pre-estimation bias on performance of DOA estimation and greatly reduce the amount of computation and the consumed time for DOA estimation to favor the real-time application of wideband DOA estimation. The simulation results showed that the proposed algorithm was able to provide significant performance improvement over the conventional algorithm.

Abstract: In industrial machine vision (MV) applications, it is a popular research direction to identify a structure mechanical part image primitive’s relationship with its background by extracting actual contour from a captured image. However, numerous nonlinear problems turn up in MV applications of measuring and inspecting mechanical parts. Those problems are brought by components of MV system including lens, cameras, lighting effect, and sheltered measured object. These nonlinear phenomena usually result in incomplete and inconsistent geometrical shape of a structure’s image primitive. Therefore, special primitive measurement theory and method are researched in the thesis, on the basis of analyzing fractal and structural features of mechanical parts. The method found that an important trait of mechanical parts image contour which can be used to reduce the impact of nonlinear phenomena and determine a closest contour of the image primitive by using different multi-scale rulers in measuring. The effect of the measurement method is proved by an example in cylindrical connectors’ inspection.

Abstract: According to the study of process management and knowledge management, knowledge based complex product development process management system is built, which is used to control the product development process with the supporting of knowledge. Process management system and knowledge management system are studied, and its prototype is developed on the platform of .NET Framework. Knowledge based process management system can provide necessary knowledge for designers, which can decrease errors, improve intellectualization and efficiency.

Abstract: Distribution network reconfiguration is a non-linear combinatorial optimization problem. It is defined as altering the topological structures of the power system by changing the open/closed states of the sectionalizing and tie switches.The aim is to reduce the power loss, and eliminate the overload of the lines, and improve the power quality, and restore the power supply to non-fault area in the distribution network and so on. Combined with distribution networks, The paper proposed an improved ant colony algorithm under the normal operating conditions to solve the distribution network reconfiguration problem. To demonstrate the validity and effectiveness of the proposed method, an example system is studied.The results on IEEE 71-bus distribution networks are also given,which reveal that the proposed method is feasible and effective.

Abstract: This paper introduces some primitive methods about hydro information transmission firstly, and then focuses on airborne remote sensing real-time transmission system and point-to-point duplex transmission in real time. The modes of hydro information transmission, including telephone network, satellite, short wave, ultra short wave and computer network communication etc, have realized the information transmission of “the integration of Satellite-Airborne-Ground”. The information transmission of airborne remote sensing real-time transmission system adopts the transmission of “Satellite-Airplane-Ground”. Point-to-point duplex transmission system in real time consists of two nodes which have the capacity of “point-to-point” duplex data transmission.

Abstract: This paper analyzes the problems of water resources information communication at present, and then proposes a shared system of water resources information based on satellite communication. This system does not rely on the existing network infrastructure, and it owns equipments to build its own communication network, and then its information is communicated though satellite. So the characteristics of this system is reliable performance, high efficiency, low cost and scalability. This system has been successfully applied into several units.

Abstract: This paper aims at professionalism survey of Computer Professional vocational students in Liao Cheng Technical and Vocational College, and combines with the author’s project about "A Study on Vocational Computer Science Students’ Professionalism Culture" in practice, looking for effective practical mode in order to offer vocational guidance for professionalism culture in a pragmatic point of view. Abstract: After analyzing the features of all kinds of CAD software program, this paper reaches such a conclusion: most of traditional bridge-design programs focus on calculating structural load, so nowadays the calculating feature of this software programs is greatly improved. At the same time, a common problem is still with traditional bridge-design software programs, and this problem is all this programs don’t have any model that offer information referred to the bridge being designed, and this problem result in isolation of data in different stage of designing. To solve this problem, this paper proposes that railway bridge CAD software program take ACCESS as core database and AUTOCAD as supporting graphical system, and we should develop new software program on this basis. This paper also propose that bridge-design software program we develop in future should take design knowledge and bridge information referred to 3D geometric data in consideration, so that the design software program can reuse the characteristic component databases and all kinds of information in different design stage.
