Abstract: During the project: Electric Hybrid Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM) Fuel Cell Transit Buses in China, the authors set up a model to calculate the life cycle cost of fuel cell bus (FCB). The model includes acquisition cost, fuel consumption cost and maintenance cost. In addition, the authors also take the government subsidies into account. After calculating, we see the cost of fuel cell is the most sensitive part of FCB life cycle cost. Using the model, we compared different bus life cycle costs. The result shows that FCB life cycle cost is 5 times more than the current diesel bus.

Abstract: In order to tackle the EOL (End of life) test problem of ECU equipped with communication bus, this paper designs an integrative system platform for electrical testing and brings out a scheme describing how to compile and implement the structured script language for test cases. Firstly, test objects are subdivided and classified. Then the test system and its workflow is put forward which comprising ECU under test, test-board, and tester. Test cases are regularly described by script language. Lastly, the paper gives an example that how to test one programmable port of multiple switch detection interface MC33972. Besides commonality and portability, the proposed design scheme could help to enhance the efficiency and reliability of the EOL test.

Abstract: For the dynamic optimization and control problem of the signalized arterial network in urban, a dynamic traffic flow model based on multi-phase control is firstly formulated, in which the total number of the retained vehicles through the arterial during the control period is adopted as the optimization objective and the green times and offsets as the control variables. Then a hybrid optimization method based on real-coded genetic algorithm and local search technique is designed to solve the optimization problem. For examining the validity of the optimization and control method proposed, it is applied to a case study with dynamic traffic demands and a large number of simulations show that the dynamic optimization and control method proposed in this paper can work well for the signalized arterial network.

Abstract: Urban sewage is a renewable energy source in the fields of heating and air conditioning engineering, and urban sewage source heat pump system plays an important role on energy-saving and environmental protection. According to the differences of the sewage emission coefficient and heat load of the building, it is not able to satisfy the user heating demand only on the limited temperature difference sensible heat on many situations, especially for the sewage rate of flow in small trunk canals. Therefore, a new heat system named urban sewage source heat pump system with freezing latent heat collection is proposed, in which the freezing latent heat is used as the heating source of the heat pump system at peak heat load in winter as well as the temperature difference sensible heat. According to the status, the system form is brought out and the operation modes of this heat pump system are stated, then the characteristics of the design and operating parameters are discussed.

Abstract: This paper introduces a kind of simulator experimental system of a variable pitch wind turbine. This experiment system hardware consists of the ac motor, ac frequency converter, dc generators, ARM7 panel, rotational speed sensor etc. Based on the ARM Developer Suite integration programming environment, wind turbine simulation software that operated in the embedded operating system C/OS - II and C/GUI GUI is designed. The wind turbine software with wind speed size input, simulator wind speed curve selection, wind turbine power curve generation, variable pitch control and rotate speed measurement function, achieve true wind turbine in different wind conditions simulated a wind turbine operation. Test results show that this variable pitch wind turbine simulator is success. It is significance for wind power research and application.

Abstract: A medical image registration algorithm based on Renyi generalized mutual information entropy information function and particle swarm - simplex search strategy is proposed in order to overcome the problem of local extremum in the target search. After the simulation of medical image data, the results show that the algorithm can get rapid and accurate registration results.

Abstract: In order to extract characteristics of face by making full use of LBP and improve its "adaptive ability", we proposed an algorithm based on global and local fusion LBP. First, we will extract overall face feature histogram with LBP, then segment the image into blocks, extract each LBP histogram feature, then combine the global and local features according to certain order , and we regard it as the total character of image. Finally, we use the LS- SVM (least squares support vector machine) identifying and training samples of face image to improve the speed of recognition the experiment on ORL face database shows that the algorithm has high recognition rate and has improved recognition rate of the face.

Abstract: Due to the rapid growth of non-linear loads in power systems, harmonic pollution is becoming more and more serious. Begin with the definition of harmonic power, the direction of power flow is analyzed from the sides of both fundamental and harmonic wave. Through a harmonic simulation circuit based on PSCAD/EMTDC, the conclusion that as a result of harmonic, harmonic-sources have their metered electric energy reduced, while non-harmonic-sources increased has been brought out. What's more, according to the result of simulation, the interactive influence of fundamental and harmonic wave on power measurement is proposed. Due to the above conclusion and the work principles of electromagnetic induction meter and electric meter, the reasons of measurement errors are found. And at the end of this paper, the development and current status of power definition which is a necessary key to the power measurement are discussed.

Abstract: In active vibration control, most of the signals to be eliminated are deterministic signals. Simulations are carried out using periodic sinusoidal reference signal based on FxLMS algorithm. Based on a deterministic reference signal input conditions, the paper provides a detailed behavior analysis due to the secondary-path model error and phase delay, the results will give theoretical basis by adjusting the FxLMS algorithm parameters to ensure convergence and to achieve the best control performance in practical applications.
