Abstract: Least squares support vector regression trained by genetic algorithm is proposed to predict the reliability of LAN/WLAN integration network, and genetic algorithm is adopted to optimize the parameters of least squares support vector regression in the paper. The influencing factors of network reliability usually include the number of node, the number of link, time delay and reliability of link. The comparison results of the prediction values between LSSVR and RBFNN and the comparison results of the prediction error between LSSVR and RBFNN are given in the paper. It is indicated that LSSVR has more excellent prediction ability than RBFNN.

Abstract: Evaluation of enterprise marketing performance has a great importance for enterprise to formulate marketing strategy and carry out marketing activity.Evaluation for enterprise marketing performance based on analytic hierarchy process is proposed in the paper.Analytic hierarchy process is used to perform multi-criteria decision analysis in order to determine the relative importance in the decision matrix. The pairwise comparison matrix by using the pairwise comparison of the indexes in same layer is established.Local weight and global weight are computated by using the pairwise comparison matrix. Marketing condition of a certain enterprise is applied to evaluate for enterprise marketing performance. It can be seen that enterprise marketing performance based on analytic hierarchy process is effective.

Abstract: The use of value engineering in China has grown significantly in the last twenty years. With keen competition in construction market, the cost control is the key measure to increase the economic benefits in the company and enhance the core competency of enterprises. This paper makes a holistic appraisal of value engineering as used in Chinese construction industry by investigating current theory and practice. It evaluates value engineering projects. This research suggests a methodology for the cost control process in construction enterprise, aiming at the correct systematic approach of Value Engineering and target-costing in cost management. The value engineering and target-costing are complementary processes. This proposed approach was validated in a case study, aiming at improved product cost, functionality and quality accomplishment, in accordance with customer needs and the company strategy.

Abstract: Stably controlling the pre-grinding process is paramount important for improving the operational efficiency and significantly reducing production costs in cement plants. Recognizing the complexity in both structure and operation of the pre-grinding process, this paper proposed a fuzzy and model predictive control system to stabilize and optimize the pre-grinding process. Based on the available techniques and system analysis, it is divided into two different sub-systems. One is handled by Fuzzy Logic Control (FLC), and the other is implemented by Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI)-based Model Predictive Control (MPC) based on the model achieved by Least Square Support Vector Machine (LS-SVM) regression. With this approach, the control parameters can be obtained online by the use of aforementioned algorithms and applied to the pre-grinding system by using OLE for Process Control (OPC) and relevant software. The trail system has been deployed in the field and its operation clearly demonstrates the effectiveness and feasibility of this control system in practice.

Abstract: The testing experiments to healthy larch logs samplings whose diameter scopes are in 5-12cm and the length respectively are 10cm and 30cm were conducted by using Arbotom stress wave testing instrument and universal mechanics testing machine. The relationships between dynamic modulus of elasticity of stress wave and MOE, between MOR and MOE were all studied in the larch logs samplings. The results indicated that, in the two larch logs samplings, the dynamic modulus of elasticity of stress wave had positive linear correlation with MOE. Moreover, MOR also had a good linear correlation with MOE.

Abstract: Technical level of driving behavior has run as high as 20% impact on vehicle’s fuel consumption, so choosing proper operation mode is one effective way to improve the vehicle’s running fuel economy. Vehicle sliding on level road is often used by driver, and analyzing vehicle’s fuel consumption characteristics during sliding condition has practical significance on realizing the reasonable driving and lowering fuel consumption. Taking some light-duty diesel passenger vehicle as experimental object, this paper discussed the variation discipline and curves involving sliding speed, sliding time and fuel consumption rate based on various sliding tests, especially analyzed the fuel consumption difference of sliding in neutral and sliding in different gears. Finally, following conclusions are achieved: the average fuel consumption rate while vehicle sliding in different gears is similar, which is about to 1/50 of sliding in neutral’. While sliding, the vehicle’s fuel consumption rate basically maintains at a low level. But once the sliding speed decreases too low, the fuel consumption rate increases dramatically. Therefore, aiming at lowing fuel consumption and reducing emission discharge, vehicle sliding in gear should have priority to sliding in neutral and choosing a reasonable sliding speed range is important for reducing vehicle’s running fuel consumption and exhaust emission.

Abstract: The influence of oil quantity supplied and contact bulk temperature on micro-pitting lifetime is estimated using two-roller contact machine. The failure criterion is set as 4% micro-pitting on contact surfaces, which is adopted from precedent researches. To quantify the failure rate of damaged surfaces of micro-pitting occurrence, DBR(Dark and Bright Ratio) technique was effectively implemented for observing not a sudden emergence of macro-pitting but the transition of micro-pitting growth. The change of damaged surface area was measured and calculated by the use of dark and bright ratio of test specimen pictures taken by optical microscope. The optimum oil quantity was determined to obtain the minimum oil quantity with no change in bulk temperature despite of increasing the inlet oil quantity. In conclusion, the influence of supplied oil quantity and contact bulk temperature considering film parameter on micro-pitting lifetime and the surface contact strength by the S-N curves of failure rate are quantitatively reported and expressed as empirical formulas.

Abstract: In metal stamping industry, almost all jobs are practically to be performed in standing position. Standing in a long period of time can lead to muscle fatigue. The objective of this study was to determine time-to-fatigue in the erector spinae, tibialis anterior, and gastrocnemius muscles of twenty production workers in a metal stamping company. The muscles activity was concurrently measured using surface electromyography (sEMG) during beginning, mid, and end of working sessions. Results of study found that gastrocnemius muscle fatigued earlier during all working sessions. In addition, working at the end of working session showed earlier fatigue than the beginning and mid of work days. The study concluded that standing in a long period of time is a cause to muscle fatigue experienced by the production workers.
