Abstract: The paper introduces the definition of cloud computing, characteristics and service mode. In view of the present situation of university information system construction, this paper presents a university comprehensive information system model based on cloud computing, which consists of infrastructure layer, business data processing layer, application system layer and customer service layer. The high effectiveness and advancement of information system model in infrastructure utilization ratio, information sharing degree, the security of data storage, software application mode etc are discussed.

Abstract: The H∞ filter is adopted in the transfer alignment (TA) which is realized by the Velocity and Attitude Matching, when the disturbances in measurements are complete unknown. The performance of H∞ filter is compared with kalman filter. The simulation results show both that H∞ filter and kalman filter all are effective and kalman filter is more accurate than H∞ filter when system noise and measurement noise are white noise. But H∞ filter is more accurate than kalman filter when system noise and measurement noise are color noise. H∞ filter is an effective estimation method because H∞ filter is more suitable to engineering practice than kalman filter.

Abstract: This paper presents an empirical indoor propagation model for underground parking area based on our extensive field measurements. Among several candidate empirical models, we choose the modified Keenan-Motley model for calibration, using channel power measurements at the 3G and 4G radio frequencies. Our calibration results can be used to provide a simple propagation model for wireless transmission planning, forecasting and quality control in indoor parking scenarios.

Abstract: DC/DC converters are known to exhibit bifurcations and chaos if switching actions are governed by feedback control. A dynamic controller based optimal control method is presented to control the chaos behavior and maximize the conversion efficiency of a zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) buck converter operating in continuous conduction mode (CCM). The simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

Abstract: In order to verify a quick launching system for rockets with small and medium sizes, an engineering vehicle localization and navigation sub-system is presented in this article. The structure of the launcher includes the front board and two cylindrical landmarks on both sides. When the vehicle gets close to the launcher, two 2D laser scanners on the vehicle detect the launcher reliably. And an extend Kalman filter is used to estimate the vehicle’s pose relative to the launcher. The localization and navigation results show that the lateral positioning error is smaller than 1cm so that the vehicle could align with the launcher accurately.

Abstract: Based on disaster system theory, flood risk assessment was conducted in regard to natural properties of hazard and environment as well as socioeconomics of hazard-affected bodies. The general process of economic loss evaluation in flood was consisted of two parts, namely the evaluation of pre-disaster value of hazard-affected bodies and the determination of direct economic loss rate in the flood disaster. At last, the evaluation models of direct economic losses in urban flood were established.

Abstract: TTS, namely text-to-speech, is a kind of technology who can convert text information into sound signal according to information Speech processing rules. TTS, as the synthetic technology of the pronunciation, is the key technology in the current development of computer technology, and one of the most forward technical in its voice service, telephone banking, and information home appliances, mobile PDA fields. TTS has its extensive applications. In this paper, TTS is applied to electronic speech reader, which changes traditional way to read e-book, and both listening to and novels and learning English. This article introduces a method about how to make use of TTS technology, and how to achieve an electronic Speech reader of programming based on Visual Studio C# 2008 environment bring API and Microsoft SAPI interface.

Abstract: The issue of power reliability in a middle-voltage distributed network is now emerging as an international concern. Therefore, in this paper, an optimal model with two objectives, reliability and economy, for network planning of a distributed system is established. Based on the Pareto optimum theory, the Non-dominated Sorting Genetic algorithm II (NSGA-II), which is combined with the specific genetic operators in Partheno-genetic algorithm (PGA), is used to solve the proposed model. By the obtained well-proportioned Pareto solution set, the final network planning scheme can be found according to different real engineering conditions, thus different demands in engineering can be satisfied. A typical example is used to verify the proposed model and algorithm effective.

Abstract: Education modes, such as distance education and online learning, based on client/server mode in traditional streaming systems, have bottlenecks in network bandwidth and single server point. This paper reviews these bottlenecks and integrades P2P technology together with streaming media technology, and provides a discussion on the steaming media over P2P technology.

Abstract: Load forecasting plays an important role in effective energy management and system reliability. However, difficulty in load forecasting arises due to its nonlinear and irregular variation. This paper presents a case study in which the effect of weather elements on public utility system peak demand is first studied to find the most decisive weather index. The average temperature and previous load demand data are then selected as input variables to predict next-day peak load. The empirical results indicate that the forecasting performance can be improved by applying support vector regression machines.
