Abstract: Ethernet is now the dominant networking in the home and office environment. Advanced of the network technology and convergence of communications, control and computer enabled the Networked Control System (NCS). Industrial Ethernet (IE) is the applications of IEEE 802.3 standards with requirements of factory equipment and network protocols. The connection based on star topology for the real-time communication between a computer and PLC. Analysis of performance based on data transfer rate, packets speed, packets volume, sum volume (KByte), Central Processing Unit (CPU) usage, percent available Read Access Memory (RAM), available Read Access Memory (RAM) and Packet InterNet Groper (PING) are conducted. It is shown that packets speed and packets volume for two types of the computer is approximately same between computer 1 and computer 2.

Abstract: In the near future, it is expected that wireless communication go to be extended to support safety movement in aerodromes. Vehicular Ad Hoc Network is one of the promise wireless technologies that provide safety applications for pre- venting and mitigating cars accidents on roads. Vehicular Ad Hoc Network’s safety applications usually use geographical routing protocols and 802.11p wireless standard which help in disseminating safety messages between vehicles efficiently and reliably. A proficient connection between aircraft, vehicles, and Air Traffic control can be handled by Vehicular Ad Hoc Network to exchange necessary messages between these parties to be aware when vehicles use the aerodrome. Thus, this paper proposes a scheme for mitigating incursions on aerodrome’s manoeuvring area through deployment of Vehicular Ad Hoc Network. Moreover, this paper discussing utilizing Vehicular Ad Hoc Network technology for controlling and supporting safety movement on manoeuvring area.

Abstract: Communication constellation design and satellite network routing are conventionally treated as two independent design processes; however, the routing results can actually give opinions to the constellation structure on its communication service quality. Based on this consideration, a new communication constellation design method is proposed in this paper which allows the constellation design to be trimmed by the routing in the way of introducing the routing result as a feedback, aiming to achieve a better constellation structure for the routing. The design method rationale is explained and a simulation scenario is given. With a basic Celestri configuration and opening the inclination to several options, the minimum link handovers and time delays offered by routing optimization on each configuration structure are compared. The simulation results show that by altering the Celestri inclination with a small amount, the constellation can achieve better routing performance, which validates the new design method.

Abstract: This paper implemented a speech recognition program for isolated digit words using a method called the Hidden Markov Model (HMM) for speech modeling. The K-means,Baun-welch algorithms for training and codebook conception and finally the Viterbi decoding algorithm for recognition process. This method uses a statistical approach in characterizing speech. Briefly, speech utterance is fit into a probabilistic framework, which consists of transition of states and observable sequences. The target is to evaluate the probability score of the speech utterance based on a given model, and also to find the best model that gives the highest probability score. Research has shown that the HMM method is superior over conventional template matching methods, and it has already been applied by oversea companies successfully in commercial speech recognition programs. Implementing a LP Cepstrum, Coefficient function, a training function, which creates Hidden Markov Models of specific utterances and a testing function, testing utterances on the models created by the training-function. These functions created in MatLab. The recognized word decision is based on the maximal likehood value. The speech database is TI46 which is downloading from internet.

Abstract: The active collision avoidance maneuver of fractionated satellite cluster is studied. Especially, two clusters with different structure configuration in ellipse orbit and the collision description method between them are discussed. Due to the limitation of the collision probability based on the minimum distance, a new method is developed which including the effect of relative velocity on collision. Only J2 perturbation is considered in the relative dynamics and a PD controller based on BP neural network using automatic differentiation method is adopted when a collision is imminent. The simulation results validate that the presented active collision avoidance control law is effective.

Abstract: Objective method alone is insufficient in measuring discomfort of car seats. It is indirect and does not truly convey the perception and feeling of the sitter. A combination of both objective and subjective method gives better evaluation on discomfort. Seat pressure distribution method was adopted to investigate the static characteristic of a seat. The method was found to be statistically repeatable in measuring sitting of fourteen male subjects in static condition. Subjective discomfort through subjective assessment using a valid and reliable self-established questionnaire together with a body pressure map (BPM) showed increasing discomfort as sitting time increase; which is expected. The short term seat pressure distribution was used to be correlated with subjective assessment. Significant and moderate correlation was observed between four local body parts namely the seat pan bolster, thighs, upper back and lower back with overall seat average pressure BPM used in the subjective evaluation. Multiple linear regression model were established; overall discomfort from averaged pressure from BPM can be predicted from right & left buttock, right & left thigh and upper back & lower back. It was found that R-Sq=93.5%, R-Sq (adj) = 83.7% with moderately adequate predictive ability with predicted R-Sq= 46.77%.

Abstract: This paper deals with a framework of decentralized approach to division of labor by multiple mobile robots. An iterative-transportation task by multiple robots with multiple sets of starts (pick-up place of the object) and goals (put down place) is considered as the task. On each route between a start and a goal, the efficiency of transportation improves when the number of robots increases. Due to jams, however, excessive number of robots on the same route causes inefficiency. We propose a control law of each robot to choose an appropriate route so as to optimize the total efficiency of the transportation, where each robot utilizes information which can be obtained only by local observation (without any explicit communication among robots). The proposed control is based on the estimation of the number of robots on the routes in the future by using EXPAR model. In simulation, it was verified that the proposed control law realized the similar level of the efficiency by appropriately choosing the route, compared with the case where global information can be utilized.

Abstract: Text data present in images contains useful information and its extraction involves detection, localization, extraction, enhancement and recognition. However, the problem is challenging due to fact that text can have various styles, size, orientations, alignments, effect of lighting conditions. While a large number of techniques have been proposed in the past for extracting text from images and video frames for foreign languages, not much research has been carried out for Indian languages. The purpose of this paper is to review various algorithms for the problem for foreign as well as for the for the Indian languages.

Abstract: The new energy saving pumping unit driven by linear induction motor (LIM) not only can overcome many disadvantages of traditional beam-pumping unit, but also has a lot of advantages, such as reliability, high operating efficiency, etc. So it arouses the universal concern of the oil industry. This paper focuses on the study of linear motor. Firstly, it analyzes the advantages of the pumping unit driven by LIM relative to beam-pumping unit, then in accordance with the system design requirements and based on the electromagnetic design method of linear motor, makes the theoretical calculation and the structure design of the motor, determines specific parameters of LIM, produces LIM applicable to the practical application to drive pumping unit. Lastly, makes field experiments, and experiments results show that LIM has reached the design requirements, also verify the correctness and feasibility of the design method.
