Abstract: In this study, damage localization of frame structures from seismic acceleration responses is explored using the DLV technique and ARX model for system identification. The concept of the DLV method is to identify the members with zero stress under some specific loading patterns derived by interrogating the changes in flexibility matrix of the structure before and after the damage state. Success of the DLV method for damage localization lies on the ability to identify the flexibility matrix. The ARX model, a discrete-time non-parametric auto-regressive system identification technique is adopted to identify the modal parameters (natural frequencies, transfer functions and mode shapes) from which the flexibility matrices of the intact and damaged structures are constructed. To explore the effectiveness of the DLV method, a five-storey steel model frame with diagonal bracings was considered for seismic shaking table tests. The damage conditions of the structure were simulated by partially removing some of the diagonals. With the flexibility matrices of both the intact and damaged structures synthesized on a truncated modal basis, the damage locations have been successfully identified by the DLV method for either single or multiple damage conditions, regardless of the damage locations. This study confirms the potential of the DLV method in the detection of local damages from global seismic response data for frame structures.

Abstract: The strengthening technique based on the application of multi-directional laminates of CFRP (MDL-CFRP) simultaneously glued and anchored to the surface of the elements to be strengthened has been recently proposed. This technique was designated Mechanically Fastened and Externally Bonded Reinforcement (MF-EBR) and combines the fasteners from the MF-FRP technique with the externally glued properties from the EBR. With the aim of assessing the potentialities of this technique for seismic retrofitting, three interior RC beam-column joints were strengthened according to the MF-EBR technique and tested. This work presents the entire test program executed, including test configuration, results and corresponding analysis.

Abstract: From the perspective of internal relationships in the process of social reproductions, the level of solution consumption problems is one major norm to measure whether the performance and development of a country’s economy is healthy, especially productive structure, industrial structure, and the relation between consumption and need. The key problem is whether between industrial structure and demand structure is adaptive. Thus, the measure standard of national economic running lies in the solution of consumption issues, that is, the solution of making consumption structure and industrial structure compatible. Basing on the relation between industrial and consumption structures in China, the paper introduces the manifestations, causes and consequences of the incoordination between industrial and consumption structures.

Abstract: The strengthening technique based on the use of multi-directional laminates of CFRP simultaneously glued and fixed with anchors (MF-EBR) has been recently purposed. An experimental program composed of pullout tests was carried out in order to study the bond behavior between concrete and MF-EBR system. The diameter and number of anchors, the pre-stress level applied to the anchors, and the strengthening procedures were the main analyzed parameters. The present work describes the carried-out tests and presents and analyzes the most significant obtained results.

Abstract: Simulating the overlapping capillary electrophoresis spectrogram under the dissimilar conditions by the computer system , Choosing the overlapping capillary electrophoresis spectrogram simulated under the different conditions , processing the data to compose a neural network training regulations, Applying the artificial neural networks method to make a quantitative analysis about the multi-component in the overlapping capillary electrophoresis spectrogram,Using: Radial direction primary function neural network model and multi-layered perceptron neural network model. The findings indicated that, along with the increasing of the capillary electrophoresis spectrogram noise level, the related components’ ability of the two kinds of the overlapping capillary electrophoresis spectrogram by neural network model quantitative analysis drop down. Along with the increasing of the capillary electrophoresis spectrogram’s total dissociation degree, the multi-layered perceptron neural network model to the related components’ ability of the overlapping capillary electrophoresis spectum by quantitative analysis raise up.

Abstract: In the surgical operation, the research and development of the surgical robot that has both safety and effectiveness is needed in consideration of the physical mental strain decrease of the surgeon and the patient. Through the observation of the motion of fish, it has been found that fish swim efficiently using flexibility of pliable fins, giving the actuator the name of flexible oscillating fin propulsion system. The author proposed the application to the realm of healing the elastic vibration wing promotion system. The flexible forceps robot for the surgical operation of a vibrating flexible fin promotion system application was developed.

Abstract: In this paper, we study the algorithm for solving a kind of new problem called generalized separated continuous conic programming (GSCCP), which has great modeling power. Based on the relationships between GSCCP and its discretization, GSCCP and its dual, we proposed an approximation algorithm which can produce a feasible solution for GSCCP with prescribed precision. We also present a numerical example to illustrate the efficiency of this algorithm. To our knowledge, this is the first algorithm for solving GSCCP so far.

Abstract: This paper aims at exploring consumer’s life value on effects of product placement advertisements in the Chinese film “No Thieves in the World”. In terms of BMW cars in this film, great talent and bold vision, neatness and joyfulness and comfort and vigor of consumer’s values exert great influence on the effects of product placement advertisements while others are not. Great talent and bold vision of consumer’s value exerts the most remarkable influence on the effects of product placement advertisements. It may be that BMW is concerned by those who own social positions to some degree.BMW’s brand personality may play a role in the influence on effects of advertising. We can resort to these three kinds of values in priority when we carry out branding communication of BMW.

Abstract: When using structural mechanics to study the deformation of carbon nanotubes (CNTs), one has to pick the structural mechanics properties that are equivalent to the molecular mechanics properties. In a previous publication [1], we have determined the relation between the bending stiffness EI/a used in structural mechanics and the bond bending stiffness C used in molecular mechanics for zigzag carbon nanotubes under simple tension. This paper extends the concept and determines the corresponding relation for simple torsion. We show that the relation obtained is different than that of simple tension; in simple torsion, EI/a is load and chirality dependent. However, for the particular case of a graphene sheet, simple tension and torsion lead to the same value of EI/a, namely C/2. We also include the structural mechanics deformation of the tube that accounts for axial, bending and torsional structural stiffnesses. Unlike simple tension, the deformation in the case of simple torsion has the axial stiffness coupled to the bending and torsional stiffnesses.

Abstract: The dissociation phenomena of H2 molecule on Pt(111) surface was simulated by Molecular Dynamics (MD) method and the effect of motion of the gas molecule or surface atoms on dissociation phenomena was analyzed in detail. The Embedded Atom Method (EAM) was used to model the interaction between an H2 molecule and Pt(111) surface. Using this potential, simulations of an H2 molecule impinging on a Pt(111) surface were performed and the characteristics of the collision were observed. Using MD data the dynamic dissociation probability were obtained and compared with the static dissociation probability to analyze the effect of atomic motion on dissociation phenomena.
