Abstract: Based upon analysis of environmental and resource risks in development of mineral resources in the western area of China, the research has proposed five ways to avert risks in development of mineral resources from systematic perspective. Firstly, green mineral industry shall be developed to avert environmental risks. Secondly, group enterprises in the field shall be developed to avert market risks. Thirdly, technical chain shall be developed to avert resource risks. Fourthly, urban development and prospection of mineral resources shall be incorporated to avert the risk of city declining due to distinct resources. Finally, prospection of mineral resources shall be enhanced to better fight against risks.

Abstract: Rainfall is the main driver of several natural phenomena having a large impact on human activities. Its monitoring is then very important for natural disaster prevention and for the preservation of the environment. One important phenomenon is related to soil displacement due to rainfall impact. The intensity of physical soil degradation, detachment and transport of soil particles by raindrop splash and interrill erosion is largely controlled by rainfall characteristics. There is still a lot of debate as to whichparameter expresses the best rainfall erosivity. Due to the limited data ondrop-size distribution of natural rainfall and the time consuming nature of methods to obtain these data, rain erosivity parameters are commonly obtained from empirical relationships based on rainfall intensity. This paper describes an a new pluviometer able to measure several raindrop variables and assess rainfall kinetic energy at the impact with the ground. It enables one to measure drop size and drop velocity in real time and thus any parameter linked to rainfall erosivity. The pluviometer is based on the combination of optical and electrical sensors and it is based on cheap technologies in order to allow the easy distribution of several monitoring station on the analyzed area. A description of the device and of its sensor is presented in the present paper.

Abstract: Targeting the road-friendliness of vehicles, the paper has analyzed dynamic deformation and dynamic load of tires under different control strategies through co-simulation. A vehicle dynamics model with semi-active air suspension has been made through using Adams, and a PID controller, a fuzzy controller and a fuzzy PID controller have been set in the Matlab to adjust the damping of the suspension, with the road excitation modeled through band-limited white noise. The result shows that the fuzzy PID controller has overcome the shortcomings of the PID controller and the fuzzy controller and a better control effect has been achieved.

Abstract: The pipe model is simplified as elastic foundation beam model of Euler-Bernoulli in the paper, the supported form of pin rocker bearing in the analysis of transverse vibration. Kelvin viscoelastic foundation model is adopted and the dynamic model of soil spring is regarded as nonlinearity. Applying the principle of Hamilton, the differential equation of vibration is deduced. By utilization of the first three-order modal and the orthogoality of main vibration mode, the equations are discreted and transformed into state formulas. The critical flow velocity is obtained using the Matlab software in a typical numerical example.

Abstract: In this paper, two types of Zn-Al-Ti-C master alloy with different Ti/C ratios were produced throug a two-step method, characterized by XRD and SEM, and their refinement behaviors and mechanism in Zn-50Al alloy were studied. Both of the master alloys remarkably reduced the size of α-Al grains, impeded the dendritic growth and promote the equiaxed growth of α-Al grains in Zn-50wt.%Al alloy. The master alloy containing both TiC and dditional Ti in the Zn-Al matrix was found to have higher refinement ability than that containg only TiC. The refinement effect of both master alloys was greatly enhanced as the solidification temperature of Zn-50Al melt decreases. TiC particles were observed to be located at the center of α-Al grains and act as the nucleating substrate for α-Al. The decrease of melt solidification temperature and the presence of additional Ti atoms in the Zn-50Al melt cause higher melt supercooling, which further elevate the nucleating rate of α-Al grains on TiC particles and promote the equiaxed growth of α-Al grains.

Abstract: In dual-coolant and self-cooled blanket concepts, the magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) pressure drop is a key point that should be considered. In order to reduce the high MHD drop, it requires an understanding of the liquid metal flow in rectangular duct with FCI. In this paper, two cases that have different pressure equalization slot widths were simulated based on MHD module of FLUENT. It is found that with different widths of pressure equalization slot, velocity distribution and pressure drop changes a lot.

Abstract: The comparison of portal frame design by penalty function optimization and traditional method aim at 30m span portal frame with tapered members was made. It was found that the essence of optimization design was to research the reasonable distributing of sections, through the interaction between capacity and key section parameters the optimization design were realized. Now the idea of green and less energy is fashionable, then optimization design is very significant in practical engineering. According to engineering statistics the optimization design can reduce 15%~30% of material quantity. In this article the selection of parameters during optimization design was expounded.

Abstract: With the application of the software Pro / Engineer, the 3-D model of automobile Electric Power steering system is built. The pre-processing and post-processing of the model are carried in I-DEAS software, while PERMAS solver is used to calculate. The structure design and dynamic characteristic optimization of the model are researched, and on the basis of natural frequencies analysis, several design improvement schemes are brought forward. The optimum scheme is generated through comparison.

Abstract: Based on the simulation principles of 3d software, a virtual grinding system is developed by means of united customized development on UG and applied to simulating CNC tool grinding machine manufacturing planar inserts with various linetypes. Tool-path data is read from the file and the process of NC grinding is simulated by the virtual system. Entity modelings of the inserts are obtained by Boolean operation in virtual environment, and the basis is presented for analyzing accuracy of the models. As testing efficiency of NC code and reliability of high speed grinding are improved.
