Abstract: Study the affect of nano-Al2O3 additive on the MAO film of titanium ally, the affect of nano-Al2O3 additive on the surface morphology and the thickness is not remarkable, but the nano-Al2O3 additive is good to improve corrosion resistant of the film. The mechanism of nano-Al2O3 additive improving corrosion resistant of the film is that: on the one hand is improving the content of α- Al2O3 in the film, on the other hand is decreasing the size of the pore area of the film and improving the dense of the loose and compact layer.

Abstract: In the mechanical motion ,wear always exists. Different contact stress will lead to different wear characteristics. This paper proposes a method for contact force analysis. According to the Hertz contact theory and in impact function model the dynamic simulation mold is set up. Taking the recognition system with binocular visual angle ball screw pair for example, based on ADAMS and virtual prototype technology, establishment of ball screw ADAMS model and theoretically analyse the impact of ball screw pair contact force causes . In view of the main factor, get the ball contact force distribution. Analysis shows that reasonable selection of ball screw parameters can reduce the ball contact force extreme and inhibit ball screw wear ,which has the reference significance. At the same time, the research of virtual prototyping technology application provides an effective method in new product development.

Abstract: Manufacturing industries now a days have stringent expectation from the machine tools in terms of productivity as well as quality of products.Vibration plays an important role in determining the quality of product. If the pattern of vibration prevailing in the machine tool during cutting is known, then machine tool structure can be designed in such a way so that natural frequency of machine tool structure can be isolated from the forced frequency. So, this study is focused on finding the natural frequency and mode shapes of radial drilling machine structure.Finite element analysis has been done to find out the natural frequencies and mode shapes of radial drilling machine structure.Assembled mass and stiffness matrices are obtained for each element and solved by using inverse iteration technique.

Abstract: The Thin-shell-structured vessel with rib reinforcement is a key structure in petrochemical industry. For large scale and lightweight vessels design, it is essential to optimize the design based on the strength and modal analysis. In this paper a FEM model of Thin-shell-structured vessel with rib reinforcement was set up using Ansys software. It uses finite element programming to calculate its strength and modal numerically. The results indicate that the structure’s strength distribution, displacement distribution and situations about the first-six orders frequency of the vessel structure. Analysis of the calculation provides the numerical and theoretical supports of liquid vessels design under real working conditions.

Abstract: Understanding the wake behavior properly would help in designing proper layouts of wind farms to obtain maximum power and improved turbine life. This research aims at studying the impact of power of a turbine that is in the wake of another turbine under uniform inflow condition. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations are carried out to represent the velocity deficit behind two turbines in-line with the wind using the Virtual Blade Model (VBM). Power loss of the second wind turbine located at different distance downstream is also calculated.

Abstract: The butt weld sample with the material of 15CrMoR has been manufactured with the bonding methods of manual electric arc welding (SMAW) and submerged-arc welding (SAW). The relationship between the microstructure and the mechanical properties has been analyzed in this paper, and the conclusions have been obtained as followed: only the last weld layer has the obvious zones of weld zone, heat-affected zone (HAZ) and fusion area for the multi-layer butt weld, the weld zone and the fusion area will be heat-treated by the next layer welding; the hardness along central intersection shows a W-shaped distribution, and the zone with normalizing organization has the lowest hardness and the surface layer has the highest hardness; the mechanical properties of the multi-layer butt weld are much better than the monolayer weld’s.

Abstract: Due to significant environmental impact and constantly rising prices, energy consumption gets more and more attention by governments and companies. Understanding and calculating the total energy requirements as well as detailed energy breakdown of a machining process are essential tasks as machining is responsible for a large amount of energy consumption in manufacturing industry. The aim of the work reported in this paper is to develop a methodology to estimate and analyze energy consumption of a machining process. This methodology is based on the representation of a machining process as a series of activities. The energy consumption of activities is calculated combined with the energy behavior of machine tool components, and formulas for calculating total as well as detailed breakdown of energy consumption for a machining process are given. The application of the methodology is demonstrated on the turning of a simple shaft.

Abstract: Electrodeposition of CuInSe2 (CIS) thin films has been investigated by linear sweep voltammetry on F-doped tin oxide (FTO) glass in electrolytes containing citric acid. It is found that one-step electrodeposited CIS thin films have great deviation from the ideal stoichiometric ratio. After deposited a film at -900 mV (vs.SCE) for 20s on the FTO, the linear sweep voltammetry has showed that only one reduction current peak at -550 mV is remained, and the two-step electrodeposited CIS film showed a near- toichiometric ratio of 1:0.9:2.1.

Abstract: System or the waveform is energy, or has the power value. Generally, periodic signal and random signal is power signal, while the determine nonperiodic signal is energy signal. For the energy signal,we can use the energy spectrum density to describe the signal on the energy unit bandwidth, the unit is the joule/Hertz.For the power signal,we can use the power spectral density to describe the signal on the energy unit bandwidth, the unit for w/Hertz.

Abstract: Nanostructured Al2O3-13wt.% TiO2 coatings were prepared by plasma spraying using agglomerated nanocrystalline powders via a spray drying method. The as-sprayed coatings and their worn surface were characterized using scanning electron microscope (SEM). The tribological characteristics were evaluated on block-on-ring configuration. It is found that that the nanostructured coating exhibited a unique bimodal microstructure, which has an important influence on the tribological characteristics. The abrasive wear resistance of the nanocoatings are greatly improved compared with the conventional coatings, and the abrasive wear mechanism is also discussed.
