Abstract: The β-Ni(OH)2 nanosheets are fabricated by a hydrothermal method. The products are characterized in detail by multiform techniques: X-ray diffraction(XRD), energy-dispersive X-ray analysis(EDS), scanning electron microscopy(SEM), and transmission electron microscopy(TEM). The results show that the obtained products are nanosheets with diameters of 100-200 nm, and thickness ranging from 10nm to 15 nm . The prepared β-Ni(OH)2 nanosheets are used as electrode materials to study the electrocatalytic reduction of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) in 0.5 M NaOH solution.

Abstract: In the present study, three kinds of zeolite (NaP1, NaA, and NaX) were synthesized by a hydrothermal method. These zeolites were modified by cetyl trimethyl-ammonium bromide (CTAB), and used to adsorb methyl orange (MO). NaP1 had the highest adsorption capacity, with a 99.7% MO removal percentage. An orthogonal experiment was conducted to determine the influence of adsorbent dosage, solution pH, initial MO concentration, contact time, and solution temperature on NaP1. The results showed that the initial MO concentration had the most significant effect. The adsorption isotherms of the zeolites are in a good agreement with the Langmuir formula, and the adsorption mechanism is also discussed.

Abstract: The magnetostrictive Pr(Fe0.4Co0.6)1.93 alloy with MgCu2-type structure, and its 0-3 and pseudo 1-3 type epoxy-bonded composites were fabricated by curing without and with a magnetic field. The structural, magnetic and magnetoelastic properties were investigated by means of x-ray diffraction, a vibrating sample magnetometer and a standard strain technique. The 0-3 type composite has a larger magnetostriction than the 1-3 composite has, which can be ascribed to the easy magnetization direction (EMD) not lying along direction.

Abstract: The two deposition polymerization techniques, i.e. vapor phase and liquid phase pyrrole deposition polymerization were applied to Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fiber in this paper. The effect of deposition technique on the surface morphology, mechanical properties, electrical stability and surface roughness of fibers were discussed. The result showed that deposition technique has a strong effect on the properties of UHMWPE fibers. Fibers treated by vapor phase deposition polymerization has much fine and small granular structure, lower resistance, better mechanical property and higher surface roughness value.

Abstract: Hierarchical porous titanate nanotube hollow microspheres were synthesized through a template-hydrothermal method. First, SiO2@TiO2 core-shell structure was synthesized, and then titanate nanotube hollow sphere was prepared via a simple hydrothermal method. The dimension of the cavity could be simply tuned by controlling the size of SiO2 spheres. These hollow microspheres exhibited a unique porous structure, in which the nanotube hollow microsphere had a two-fold storage system including the cavity of the hollow sphere and the nanotube capability. Further, the microsphere demonstrated an improved controlled releasing performance that the cavity was capable of giving a fast releasing, while the channel of the nanotube showed a slow releasing property. This facile template-hydrothermal method could be a generally strategy to prepare hollow nanostructures.

Abstract: Two kinds of 3-alkoxythiophene monomers were synthesized by the nucleophilic substitution and transetherification reactions. Soluble conjugated polymers based on 3-alkoxythiophene were synthesized by electrochemical polymerization. The process of the electrochemical polymerization, electrochemical redox behaviors and electrochromis of the polymer were investigated by the cyclic voltammetry and spectroelectrochemical measurement. The onset oxidation potentials (Eonset(ox)) of both POT and OOT were at 1040mV (vs. Ag/AgCl) in electrolyte solution system.The oxidation and reduction potential of PPOT and POOT were observed between +600 mV and +900mV (vs. Ag/AgCl). The color of POOT film on the platinum electrode was blue-green for oxidation state and was dark red for reduction state, in accordance with the UV-vis spectra behaviors.

Abstract: Aluminum foam was prepared by foaming in melt route. Bubble growth and structure of the obtained foam blocks were investigated. Viscosity and surface tension of aluminum melt were also analyzed after adding Mg into it. The main results are as follows: expanding velocity of aluminum melt is accelerated after adding Mg and height of the foamed block is higher than that without adding Mg. The apparent density of aluminum foam increases first and then declines with increasing the Mg content. Intermetallic compounds existing in aluminum melt are largely oxidized when Mg is put into the melt and amount of the composite oxides increases obviously. These changes result in elevation of viscosity and reduction of surface tension in the aluminum melt.

Abstract: The way of heterogeneous data synchronization based on WEB service mode used in the Internet of things is analyzed, the problem of synchronization mechanism of heterogeneous data based on internet web port is solved. Combined with the characteristics of SOA architecture, this paper proposes synchronization model WLDSS (Web-level Data Synchronization System) of distributed heterogeneous data, and gives the design principles and the key strategies of the model. Through the application of distributed solar water heating system of control system data synchronization, it verifies the stability of the WLDSS model.

Abstract: The electrochemical behaviour of the rehealing oxide scales on the K52 nanocrystalline coatings had been studied by polarization curves. The results indicated that the oxide scales formed on the nano-coating exhibited rehealing ability after pitting corrosion, and the coating still had excellent corrosion resistance. The rehealing ability was enhanced with prolonged re-oxidation time. EDX analyses revealed that the oxide scales within the pits were composed of mixed-oxides (Cr2O3, Al2O3 and TiO2). The mixed-oxides were made up of two layers: the external oxide layer was composed of Cr2O3 and TiO2 and the internal oxide layer was Al2O3.
