Abstract: In order to accurately emulate the operation conditions of high-speed motorized spindle in the reliability experiment, a dynamic loading system is proposed. This system allows simultaneously loading torque, radial and axial force against the spindle. The torque load is carried out by the electric dynamometer; the non-contact vibration exciter completes the radial load; the axial load is carried out by a self-made electromagnet. Moreover, this system also can detect out the basic features and failure data of the motorized spindle during the loading. And these sampling data provide a quantitative elevation for its reliability analysis. This paper presents a simple solution to the high-speed motorized spindle reliability research where the loading experiment is designed with the spindle whose maximum rotational speed is 18000rpm.

Abstract: In order to reducing the degree of calculated difficulty, statistical procedure is used to solve the reliability calculation problems. The hypothesis of space independence and time independence of series system is brought forward, then reliability problem of repairable equipment can be regarded as reliability problem of non-repairable system, efficient solution can be gained by using statistical method.

Abstract: In the high-technique war of the future, infantries are main strength across the battlefield, so automatic rifles are weapons that cannot be dispensable. This article introduces methods of Pareto and Cause-result diagram at first, and then sets up diagrams combining with dates of rifles composite life tests. Through analyzing the diagrams, typical failures are confirmed, and improving suggestions are put forward at last.

Abstract: With the rapid rise of the marine industry, it is urgent need to develop the existing marine equipments. In order to meet the development of offshore wind power market and the construction of large-scale bridge over sea, marine machinery is melting towards large-scale, science, profession, intelligence, and multi-function. The study and development of the multifunction jack-up platform has a wide prospect, which integrating with piling, clear base, leveling, lifting, wind power installation, setting and providing life support for maritime and engineering. This article introduces our research status of existing multi-platform, illuminates the trends and application prospects, and puts forward a new multi-function jack-up platform for reference.

Abstract: The paper presents the results of finite element analysis of a pressurized vessel typically made of steel 1025 and containing the weld misalignment at the cylinder-to-cylinder junction. This misalignment considered in the vessel’s structure is because of girth weld that is found in most of the fabrications of such type of structures. Geometric misalignment of 50% of thickness is considered for this particular study. The work evaluates the geometrical effects of misalignment on the fatigue behavior of the pressure vessel to quantify its consequences in term of fatigue life and maximum damage. Finite Element (FE) analysis is performed by the use of ANSYS on one quarter of the structure due to symmetry. A significant effect of misalignment on fatigue life of the cylinder has been found and is presented with maximum anticipated damage in the critical areas.

Abstract: In the premise of achieving corresponding functions, sustainable design means to take the most natural, harmless and energy-saving materials to realize the product functions to meet the need of the present without compromising the ability of future generation to meet their own needs. While with the Chinese characteristic features and the endless expansion demand on consumption, design is going on the opposite direction. The product design research based on sustainable concept is a re-examined view of human-oriented design in front of the challenge of limited resources protection. And with the help of unlimited creativities and design, we can care more about our nature and society on one hand. On the other hand, the silent affection and promotion on green, energy-saving and low-carbon living concept will also definitely influence our human being to be more rational.

Abstract: Based on discontinuous mechanics, the non-fluidized particles flow lubrication model in tilting pad tribopairs is proposed by the discrete element method (DEM). The influences of the particles’ friction coefficient have been investigated mathematically. The wettability and adhesion ability between particles and rubbing surfaces are weaker than fluid lubricant, but its fluid-like properties distinguished it from solid lubricant. These reasons endow particles flow with some unique characteristics as a lubricant. The results indicate that the peak of load profile and friction force profile is located at the inlet zone of tilting pad under particulate lubrication. Particles with a lower friction coefficient can decrease the system friction coefficient and increase the load capacity of tribosystem, which provided helpful guidance to engineering application. The study of the microscopic characteristics which included the mean contact force, body energy, contact friction energy and particle kinetic energy has been carried out at the same time.
