Abstract: Fe (III)-modified polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) fiber complex was prepared with poly acrylic acid grafted PTFE fiber and FeCl3 aqueous solution and used a novel heterogeneous Fenton catalyst for the photo-assisted degradation of Rhodamine B in water. The results indicated that Fe (III)-grafted PTFE) fiber complex can significantly enhance the dye degradation at a wide pH media under light irradiation. Increasing Fe content of the catalyst, H2O2 concentration and visible irradiation intensity leads to a fast degradation. Moreover, UV light irradiation is much more effective than visible light irradiation for promoting dye degradation.

Abstract: Graphene was synthesized by microwave-hydrothermal chemical reduction of graphite oxide using hydrazine hydrate as the reducing agent. Graphene was characterized using X-ray diffraction, UV-visible spectrum, FT-IR spectrum and scanning electron microscopy. Results indicated that the as-prepared graphene was wrinkled and comprised fewer graphenes with a highly crystalline structure.

Abstract: Porous NiMo sulphide was successfully synthesized from ethanol supercritical fluid drying technique using (NH4)2MoS4 and Ni(NO3)2 as the precursors. It was shown that the NiMo sulphide had extremely high porosity and the specific surface area was 322 m2•g-1. The results of DBT hydrodesulfurization experimental showed that the porous NiMo sulfide prepared had high HDS activity, which was 2.78 times higher than that of a commercialized supported catalyst.

Abstract: This document introduced the advantages of laser marking technology and the difficulty of marking glass surface. During used a laser marking machine which based on the latest super-pulsed CO2 laser and through marked texts on glass with three different ways, the results show the influence of different parameters in each marking method.

Abstract: Crushed brick foamed concrete block is made of crushed brick as a main raw material and Portland cement as a cementious material, mixed with various additives, foamed by foamer and cured under the ordinary temperature and pressure condition. Studies have shown that: (1) The main chemical composition of CBP are SiO2 and Al2O3, CBP has high content vitreous body. CBP has a certain activity (2) With the increase of CBP fineness, the compressive strength of the specimen increases. (3) With the increase of the mixing amount of CBP, the compressive strength of the specimen decrease. (4) With the increase of the mixing amount of commercial caustic soda, the compressive strength of the specimen increases first then decreases.

Abstract: In this paper, the fresh properties of self-compacting concrete (SCC) using recycled coarse aggregate (RCA) were evaluated. Five types of SCC mixtures were made, where the percentage of substitution of natural coarse aggregate by RCA was 0, 25, 50, 75 and 100%. The cement content, water to binder (W/B) ratio and Superplasticizer dosage were kept the same for all mixes. The effects of RCA on the key fresh properties such as filling ability, passing ability, and segregation resistance of SCC were investigated by conducting several fresh concrete tests included slump-flow, L-box, and sieve stability tests. The overall test results suggest that RCA can be used to produce SCC substituting up to 100% natural coarse aggregates without affecting the key fresh properties of concrete.

Abstract: The quality of the base layer materials is one of the key factors that influences pavement performance and service life. The previous research and experiment results have preliminarily proved that cool regenerated materials have good road-applied properties, and verified the main technical characteristics of preliminary analysis results of cement cold regenerated. Based on experimental results and cement strength standard, road performance cold regenerated aggregates and cold regenerated lime treated soil is analyzed in this paper. The results show that the performance of cement cold regenerated materials meets the requirements. Cement cold regenerated aggregates can be used as Grade 2nd and below Grade 2nd road. Under appropriate conditions, cement cold regenerated aggregates can also be used for freeway base; Cement cold regenerated lime treated soil can be used as subbase Grade 2nd and Grade 2nd below road.

Abstract: Sandwich insulation walls can bear loadings and insulate thermal which are fit for cold and freezing areas. In this paper, small-sized concrete hollow blocks are selected as interior and exterior wall; expanded polystyrene (EPS) plates are selected as thermal insulation layer which are put between inner and outer layers. Effects of several factors on cooperative performance of interior and exterior wall under static loads were analyzed by numerical simulation. These factors include the type of connection steel, the vertical load and the property of interface between EPS and concrete blocks. The results show that among the connection steel of ‘Z’ shape, ring shape and tie netting, the last is the best. Displacement difference between interior and exterior walls increases with increasing vertical load. And if the interface friction between EPS block and concrete blocks is considered, displacement and displacement difference of sandwich walls all increase. These results agree with similar tests.

Abstract: Electrochemical Chloride Extraction (ECE) is a new method to halt the corrosion of steel in concrete contaminated by chloride. The bond strength between steel and concrete with and without ECE were tested through steel pull-out test, and the effects of current density and total charge passed during ECE on it were analyzed. A demo device was designed to analyze the hydrogen evolution during ECE by dividing the cathode reactions and anode reactions into two sealed bottles. The relation between hydrogen content and electrons passed in the circuit and the adverse effects of the hydrogen on steel reinforced concrete was conducted. Through drilling appropriate number of holes from concrete surface into the steel, some hydrogen can be released and its adverse effects can be mitigated in a certain degree.
