Abstract: This paper proposes a new application to predict the anomalous threshold voltage (Vth) behavior in submicron MOSFETs by using the GM(1,1) grey system model. It can be developed to analyze the threshold voltage inclination due to the device geometric effects. The prediction results are compared with experiment data obtained from actual devices, we found that the different value of real experiment data and estimation data from the GM(1,1) is small and a good agreement has been obtained.

Abstract: The internal quantum efficiency of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) can reach values near to 100%. Due to the difference among the refractive indices of the substrate, anode, organic thin films, and the air, two wave-guiding phenomena arise in the anode/organic layers and substrate of the OLEDs. In this paper, the substrate modifications are developed to simulate the optical luminous field for OLEDs. Monte Carlo method was used to investigate enhancement of the external extraction efficiency, which is related to the total reflection inside the device by changing the structure of the substrate.

Abstract: The programming mechanism and erasing efficiency in P-channel flash EPROMs are presented in this paper. With impact ionization programming mechanism, reliability problem is effective reduced. And, the margin of VTH shifts is obvious from –1V to –7.6V for deeply programming or erasing. For the low voltage operation, this high efficiency stack gate flash EPROM can be easily implemented.

Abstract: The teraherz (THz) wave in the far-infrared wave band has been showing its value in many areas in life. The detection of THz wave with microbolometer was simulated in this paper. The thermal and mechanical simulation were carried out by Intellisuite, a professional simulation software of MEMS. The influence of micro-bridge structure on the device performance was studied and simulation results showed that the bridge leg shape and width affected mainly on the thermal and mechanical properties of device. A compromise design between the thermal and mechanical properties was obtained in order to maintain the best performance of the device.

Abstract: In this paper, we investigate the synchronization and anti-synchronization of the BVP oscillator, and propose a same adaptive controller in form which not only synchronizes, but also anti-synchronizes the two identical BVP oscillators. Numerical simulations verify the correctness and the effectiveness of the proposed theoretical results.

Abstract: For calibrating the X-band equipment in the TT&C ship based on wireless communication, we design a high gain rectangular horn antenna. Through analysing the theory of structure, the antenna’s preliminary size parameter is estimated and it is simulated based on HFSS. The antenna structure parameters are obtained after parameters optimization. The results of simulation indicate that the design of antenna indexes meet the needs completely. The structure of antenna is compact and it easy to process. The simulation method in the paper may also be referred to other related design.

Abstract: This paper studies a low noise amplifier design method for 5.8G wireless local area network. Using the software of designing RF circuit ADS(Advanced Design System) and Avago Technologies’s ATF-36077,we designed a three-cascade LNA. In 5.725G~5.85GHz range, noise figure less than 0.5dB, more than 30dB gain, input and output standing wave ratio less than 1.3dB.The LNA meet the design requirements.

Abstract: This study presents the use of fuzzy-based Taguchi method for improving of the yield of the floating device of the ball grid array (BGA) mold chase in the molding process with multiple performance characteristics. The objective of this study was to obtain the maximal pressure of the floating device, minimal processing volume, and minimal processing projected area. The results indicate that the frequency of replacing the appropriate spacer of the mold chase decreased by 75 %, the tolerance of the substrate increased twofold, the utilization rate of the auto-mold machine increased by 12 %, and the production capacity was upgraded to 1.7 kpcs in one day.

Abstract: Contactless cards are smart cards with microprocessor cores. Their applications of are very popular, such as public transports, access control, cashless payment, campus solution and so on. Reader is an essential part for smart card applications. It can identify cards, read/write data on cards. Microcontrollers are common hardware for embedded applications. With microcontrollers, the readers of contactless cards will be smart and easy to be used. In this paper, smart cads, contactless cards, readers, microcontrollers and design of a reader with microcontrollers are discussed.
