Abstract: This paper presents a novel scheme for software radio receiver application, which integrates a high-speed digital down converter (DDC) block into a SoC (system on chip) based on OR1200 CPU. The proposed design can transform intermediate frequency (IF) signal to baseband signal and realize the real-time baseband signal processing. The simulation results indicate that the design is capable of accepting data at a 200MHz sample rate and the verification results based on Xilinx FPGA show that the SFDR of DDC can reach to 70.59dBFS.The synthesized results on 0.18um CMOS technology reveal that the maximum clock frequency can reach to 116MHz and the total area is 5.662mm2, and the corresponding power consumption is below 150mW. It should have a good potential for wireless communication applications.

Abstract: Conversing with the high quality life brought by high-tech, special occupational groups including the military personals were confronted with even more worse operational environment, such as extreme heat, cold, humidity, intense light ,typhoon or manmade meteorological disasters, and noise, low-illumination, electromagnetic radiation from the weapon. Working in such conditions, operation efficiency, visual-auditory function, brain function and the ability of mental adaptation would be injured. However, there has no professional research platform for simulating multiple injury factors. The multifunctional injuries-simulating platform were designed to simulate military operational environment by giving the modular regulation of the sound field, illumination, wind, temperature, humidity and so on. Meanwhile, with a serial successive biological experiment on military injury stimulating, the platform has proved to meet the demands of the whole design and has the potential to be used for the study of military medicine and occupational medicine.

Abstract: A new multi-band antenna of the mobile handset with a special structure for the wireless communication applications is introduced, where the intrinsic slots between metal frame and the metal ground of the handset is taken as the main structure of the handset antenna, and the slots are fed by a tapered strip and two thin open-end strips with different lengths. Good performances of the proposed antenna are obtained by using this simple structure. The measured results of the RL and efficiency are presented. The good agreement is also achieved between the measurement and the simulation. No matter in the performances of the antenna, or in the occupied area, the proposed antenna would have a valuable application in handset for the metal frame structure.

Abstract: The selection of a certain scope angle signal in the traditional method is to switch the hard switches in antennas, this paper proposes a method, which based on a weighting method to filter the signal in certain directions, namely spacial filter. With array antennas,the compositive signal can be acquired, by which the phrase and plus (weighting) of each unit antenna’s signal be adjusted and then the signals be added. In different time, signals can be selected in any scope of directions through adjusting each channels by different weighting. The weighting parameters can be obtained through the analysis of spacial signal and spacial spectrum, and then obtains an appropriate weighting window function. Simulation shows that Hamming window’s weighting is the best among the three representative windows functions. It can obtain a low sidelobe (-44dB) and less rising edge and declining edges. And the paper also give a hardware structure.

Abstract: Initial step voltage during the interruption of short-circuit current in a fuse has an important effect on the current-limiting capability of fuse and the working security of electric equipment. The initial arc column voltage makes the main part of the step voltage. In this paper, we discovered the approximate linear relationship between current density the moment arc starts, ranging from 10 to 45 kA/mm2, and the initial arc column voltage gradient, through the analysis of interrupting experiments using sample fuses containing single stripe of silver with one constriction, pre-arcing energy and the packing density of silica sand remained the same. The above law is applied in the circumstance of the fuselink with multiple constriction in series and a further investigation of the initial step voltage influenced by the number of notch is carried out, which provides basis for small scale experiment on the series characteristics of multiple notches for high voltage.

Abstract: In applications of lithium-ion batteries, a equalizer is required to enhance life time and guarantee safety. A simple technique that provides effective equalization in terms of battery voltage for a series string of battery cells is presented. The mainly circuit technique of two-level DC/DC converters substantially simplify the structure. Moreover, multi-mode equalizing algorithm effectively enhances the uniformity of batteries. The operational principles and design considerations are verified and equalization performance is greatly improved compared with ordinary methods.

Abstract: Robot soccer is an effective platform which is used to validate techniques such as artificial intelligence. Due to the limitations of a single robot, complex tasks on pitch often need to be completed through coordination of multiple robots. The purpose of this paper is to realize the information transfer between robots and thus to achieve information sharing by designing the network communication system among robots, as well as to provide forceful support for robots' decision-making and multi-robots cooperation. Meanwhile, the ant colony algorithm,which comes after the realization of robot communication system, is introduced to solve the problem existed in multiple-robots coordination. Experimental results show that the communication system in this paper can effectively fulfill information transfer between robots and has laid a good foundation for cooperation of robots.

Abstract: The batteries in a battery pack may have different internal resistances, and this inconsistency may lead to fast aging of the whole pack. In order to overcome the shortcomings of existing equalizing charge method, a bidirectional energy transfer mechanism based battery equalizing charge schema is given. We detailed analysis the working principle of equalization circuit and equalization work process, and the program analysis and argument by experiments. Experiments show that the method structure is simple, and it can quickly realize the dynamic transfer of energy between the batteries. The battery power charging imbalance can be effectively solved.

Abstract: In this paper, a novel three-port combiner based on coaxial cavity is presented, which consists of a band-pass filter with a transmission zero and a ultra-wideband band-stop filter, and the combiner is different to the conventional combiner based on microstrip or stripline. The design and simulated results show that the novel combiner has a good performance, which are insert loss more than -0.5dB and return loss less than -20dB between the GSM/DCS/TD band (800-2170MHz) and WLAN band (2400-2500MHz), the isolation in both bands less than -85dB, respectively. In addition, the performances of the novel combiner are demonstrated experimentally, the measured results have good agreement with simulated results.
