Numerical Simulation and Test Research on Knurl Interference Connection

Article Preview

Abstract:

In this paper, the knurl press fit connection for motor shaft have been researched through numerical simulation and test method. A shaft with knurl press fit have been built in 3 dimensional and a finite element model then been built based it. The press in process been researched deeply and a verification test have been made to compare. After compare the calculated result and test result, the difference between simulated result and test result was small, then the relationship between interference value of press fit and max transferred torque moment was researched. The method used in this paper can be a way to research knurl press fit.
