Abstract: With taking part in WTO,the Chinese market of urban planning and urban design is gradually opening up,the way of joint design become more popular than before. It can bring positive impact to original mode of thinking training and reform traditional way of working, etc. However, foreign designers are not perfect. Mostly, they just focus on their personality and thinking,so it is difficult to make a perfect combination of concluding idea of design ,the environment, and the culture. So,the Chinese designer should take part in joint design project actively.

Abstract: The paper deals with active disaster prevention of underground space by analysis of city vulnerability. City vulnerability includes structural and risk-based vulnerability. City structural vulnerability is mainly decided by the level of exposure and the degree of sensitivity of city to unexpected events. City risk-based vulnerability is mainly decided by the tolerance of city to risk and the probability of risk. As one of underused resources currently, underground space has the functions of reducing exposure of facilities, lowering sensitivity to disasters and improving tolerance to risks. Developing underground space is an important way to reduce city vulnerability effectively. Active disaster prevention of underground space is defined that underground space is an important and necessary part of city comprehensive disaster prevention system. Point, linear and surface underground space combines with ground disaster prevention space to form city three-dimensional disaster prevention space. We should integrate city space from the three-dimensional perspective and promote the construction of “reducing city vulnerability” in order for city harmonious development. The integration of city disaster prevention space includes three levels of integration in idea, function and entity.

Abstract: Resident emergency congregate shelters are divided into three kinds. To meet temporary refuge need, the short-term resident emergency congregate shelter should be equipped with short-term refuge and basic living facilities. Mid-term resident emergency congregate shelter is outfitted with concentrated assistant facilities to provide accommodations within 30 days and medical assistance. Long-term resident emergency congregate shelter should be configured comprehensive facilities to ensure accommodations more than 30 days and part of emergency rescue functions.

Abstract: The overall cost of the cooling type air-conditioning plus central heating system is less than that of the all-season air conditioning system in life spans of the two types of systems, which demonstrates the applicability of the principle on design of heating, ventilation and air-conditioning in chapter 5 of Standards of Design for Energy Conservation for Public Building, which suggests that the central heating system should be adopted instead of the air-conditioning system for public buildings in severely cold regions.

Abstract: Central air-conditioning systems consume a lot of energy. Determining how to economize energy and enhance efficiency becomes urgently. In this article, the energy-saving measures of the central air-conditioning system are proposed from some aspects which include reasonable design, the momentum energy consumption, the hidden energy consumption, the new energy-saving technologies, etc.
