Abstract: Based on the theory of regular block model constructing of open pit mine, a regular column model was used for a near-level coal deposit to build model. Taking column as unit, inverse distance method was used to valuate. The relevant attributes of each coal deposit in each column was recorded, containing elevation, thickness, coal quality parameters of each coal seam. Based on the ground surface contour, surface level of column model was estimated. According to the problem meeting in the practical application, virtual drill holes, angle exclusive and quadrant method were used to deal with faults, seam boundary and cluster-effect. The application showed that using regular column model could describe the location and thickness variation of seam well and solved the problem which was difficult to calculate the volume of coal and rock accurately when 3D regular block model had coal combined with rock modules.

Abstract: Frame theory has become a popular subject in scientific research during the past twenty years. In our study we use generalized multiresolution analyses in with dilation factor 4. We describe, in terms of the underlying multiresolution structure, all generalized multiresolution analyses Parseval frame wavelets all semi-orthogonal Parseval frame wavelets in . We show that there exist wavelet frame generated by two functions which have good dual wavelet frames, but for which the canonical dual wavelet frame does not consist of wavelets, according to scaling functions. That is to say, the canonical dual wavelet frame cannot be generated by the translations and dilations of a single function. Traits of tight wavelet frames are presented.

Abstract: Studied theoretically and experimentally antisymmetric stagnant waves in an elastic wedge-shaped plate. The solution of the nonuniform problem is obtained with the approxima¬tion that the field nonuniformity is not only small but is slowly changing. For a small angle of the wedge are calculated and measured amplitude in a standing wave. Experimental measure¬ments of the amplitudes of the displacements are fulfilled using the original installation.

Abstract: An accurate forecasting method for wind power generation of the wind energy conversion system (WECS) is urgent needed under the relevant issues associated with the high penetration of wind power in the electricity system. This paper presents a comparison of three forecasting approaches on short term wind power generation of WECS. Three forecasting methods, namely, persistence method, back propagation neural network method, and radial basis function (RBF) neural network method, are investigated. To demonstrate the performance of three methods, the methods are tested on the practical information of wind power generation of a WECS. The performance is evaluated based on two indexes, namely, maximum absolute error and mean absolute error.

Abstract: Based on the probabilistic loss model of distribution network and the improved hybrid particle swarm algorithm, a reactive power optimization algorithm is presented, which encompasses the effects of stochastic wind speed and load. Firstly, with the control vector dimension’s length augmented and with the probabilistic loss method built, the reactive power optimization model is presented. Secondly, with the Niche operations embedded into the original PSO, an improved hybrid PSO algorithm is presented. Lastly, the corresponding software system program is developed in VC++ language and on basis of SQL SERVER platform. While this software system being supplied into a case, the experimental data have proved that this algorithm possesses more adaptability. At the same time, compared with the RTS algorithm, the calculating process is speeded.

Abstract: World climate change challenges and the world’s consistent growing demand for energy during the past decade have brought the need to explore for more renewable energy resources. The continuation of exploring green energy sources results Osmotic Power- a new emission-free source of sustainable energy that can be used to generate electricity. Osmotic power plant is only feasible in places where rivers flow out to the ocean. The leading virtue of osmotic power is that it would be capable to produce a steady and reliable supply of renewable base load power as an alternative of other variable sources like solar or wind. There are some hurdles to generate osmotic power. Developing suitable membrane and initial construction cost are top on of them. Though Osmotic power is years from commercial feasibility but researchers think that it could provide thousands of terawatts of base load power per year around the globe. This paper presents an overview of osmotic power generation system with the analysis of potential benefits and limitations of it.
