Abstract: The trend towards miniaturisation in manufacturing has led to a requirement for the technique of micro /nano measurements capable of measuring tiny features on small components. This paper presents the development of a new sensing method for micro/nano displacement measurements based on fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensors. In this machine, some new ideas are integrated into the design, such as the suspended FBG probe stem, the fiber fused microball tip, and the double-FBG probe structure. Test shows the microball tip diameter can be less than 300 um. It has been proved by preliminary experimental results that the measurement resolution can reach 50nm.

Abstract: A three-dimensional pattern is helpful to improve the temperature variation rates in pyroelectric elements, using lateral temperature gradients induced on the sidewalls of the responsive elements. Creating a complex pattern with a deep trench structure for fitting various discharges of waste heat was imperative, and hard to fabricate, using the traditional methods of dry/wet etching and a dicing saw. A novel method using sandblast etching was successful in fabricating the complex pattern of the vortex-like electrode for improving the electrical output and enhancing the efficiency of the PZT pyroelectric harvesting converters.

Abstract: We designed High-Q micro-ring resonators based on SOI material. A new method of using a top SiO2 layer to cover the waveguide is applied and the tested Q factor is as high as 1.0135×104. Micro-ring resonator has been fabricated using Electron-Beam Lithography and Inductive Coupled Plasma. OptiFDTD was used to simulate the micro-ring resonator and we compared the transmission spectrum of this resonator with the resonator without SiO2 covering.

Abstract: This paper presents a new system for rapidly acquiring stereo images using a single camera and a pair of planar mirrors (catadioptric stereo). Firstly, the camera used to capture images is calibrated with matlab toolbox. Secondly, the position and pose of the planar mirrors relative to the fixed, calibrated camera is estimated, and this procedure is accomplished by calculating the symmetry plane of the real and reflected image corners of a chessboard. Thirdly, the relative orientation of two reflected virtual cameras is obtained. Finally, Gaussian noise is added to the image corners of the chessboard to verify the performance of the established stereo system. Experimental results show the effectiveness and robustness of our system.

Abstract: In view of the present problem in low efficiency of the wind-light complementary power generation system, the tracking control strategy on the system maximum power point was proposed based on the perturbation and observation method, and overall structure of wind-light complementary power generation system is introduced. The simulation study on the system maximum power control was carried out based on the MATLAB/ SIMULINK, and the results of simulation showed that the tracking control of the system maximum power point was able to be achieved and the utilization efficiency of the system energy was also improved.

Abstract: Path planning algorithm is an important research content of robotic. In order to improve its performance, we use earth move’s distance(EMD) and fuzzy logic as base tools, combine with distance feature vector matching and partial matching tech,by use the algorithms based on EMD and feature vector, we can get more faster and more accurate outcome, and at the same time, the algorithm could decrease the increase velocity of the search space from the scale of secondary power into the the scale of linearity.

Abstract: The two control systems of intelligent celebration gun salutes based on singlechip and PLC is researched, developed and compared in this thesis, which consists of peripheral units such as sensor through adding singlechip or PLC control unit based on ordinary gas gun salutes, realizes intelligent control of sound interval and volume and acquires effects of playing musical instruments. The system has not only high practical value but also good market prospect; furthermore, it offers an excellent material to internships and practical training of students from colleges and universities.

Abstract: Aiming to improve the stability dynamic performance of the oscillating system, an internal closed-loop time-delayed filter with negative pulse is designed. To make the unstable system into stable, a reasonable time delay is introduced within the feedback control system, based on optimization theory to design the delay filter parameters. Matlab/SIMULINK simulation software is used on system performance analysis. Simulation results show that the designed internal closed-loop time-delayed filter can effectively improve the system stability, but also inhibit the high-frequency noise, with a strong anti-interference ability.

Abstract: Our goal is to obtain a character -ization of normalized tight frame super-wavelets The basis of materials science involves relating the desired properties and relative performance of a material in a certain application to the structure of the atoms and phases in that material through characterization. An approach for designing a sort of biorthogonal vector-valued wavelet wraps in four-dimensional space is presented and their biorthogonality traits are characterized by virtue of iteration method and time-frequency analysis method. The biorthogonality formulas concerning these wavelet wraps are established. A necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of the pyramid decomposition scheme of space is presented.

Abstract: In this study, functional magnetic resonance image (fMRI)-compatible movement measurement system was developed. The movement measurement system consisted of a sensor module with a three-axis accelerometer and a two-axis gyroscope, a modulator, and a demodulator. Velcro was used to attach the sensor module to a finger or wrist. Interactive effects in a human subject were tested by measuring fMRI and motion signals simultaneously. Images were obtained using the field echo planar imaging method using a 3 T MR scanner and the signal-to-noise ratio was calculated. The entire system can be made with low cost, and its direct implementation is available in a clinical MR scanner without any additional installation. Various kinematic variables, such as angle, acceleration, and jerk, can be measured and calculated by using the movement measurement system. Therefore, it is expected that this system could be used for the study of the relationship between various kinematic variables and brain function.
