Abstract: Our goal was to evaluate how mechanical injury induced oleocellosis, and its discolouration and oxidative stress mechanism in Fengji Navel oranges (Citrus sinensis L. Osbeck) during previous storage. The results indicated that H2O2 content in mechanical treated fruit was higher than control. APX activity was higher than control during most of previous storage, but CAT, GR activities and ASA, GSH contents were lower than control, which showed GR activity and ASA, GSH contents might play an important rule in enhancing H2O2 to damage cell in mechanical treated fruit. Moreover, our study showed that chlorophyll content was enhanced, but total phenols content was not affected by mechanical during previous storage, which showed that discolouration was turning green but not browning at previous storage.

Abstract: Taking plateau red soil as research object, using the ultrasonic-assisted organic acid extraction the heavy metal zinc in it, and analyze the form of zinc. Results showed that the extraction rate can reach 68%, with the increase of time, the extraction effect of zinc is obviously enhanced in this method. Ultrasonic-assisted citric acid extraction soil can increase the extraction rate of exchangeable, bound to carbonates and bound to iron and manganese oxides relatively.

Abstract: In order to approach the dormant property of Phoebe bournei seeds, the inhibition effects of the different concentrations and different solvent extraction from seed coats and embryo of Phoebe bournei was studied through bioassay method. The results showed that there were inhibition effects of extracts on the germination and radical growing of cabbage seeds, and the inhibition effects became stronger as the contents of extracting solutions increased.Germination rate of cabbages in seed embryo extracts was lower than that in the seed coat extracts in the same concentrations, and the radical length in the seed embryo extracts was also shorter than that in the seed coat extracts. The seed embryo and coat extractions phase of ethyl acetate on the germination and radical growing of cabbage seeds had the strongest inhibition effect. The results indicated that inhibiting substances were existed both in the seed coats and embryo of Phoebe bournei seeds, and embryo extracts had stronger inhibition effect on the seed germination and radical growing of cabbage seed than the seed coats extracts had, and the inhibiting substances were mainly soluble in the methanol and ethyl acetate.

Abstract: The annual seedlings of ten Toona Sinensis provenances were selected for the study of the relationship between cold resistance and fatty acid composition and content of leaves. The results indicated that the fatty acid composition was the same among different provenances. The main ones were Dodecanoic acid, Hexadecanoic acid, (Z,Z)-9,12-Octadecadienoic acid, (Z,Z,Z)-9,12,15-Octadecatrienoic acid, Octadecanoic acid and Eicosanoic acid. But there were evident differences in fatty acid content and index of unsaturated fatty acid (IUFA) among different provenances. The content of unsaturated fatty acid and the IUFA was smaller in southern provenances of Xiapu of Fujian, Qianxinan of Guizhou and Dongkou of Hunan than those of the other provenances from north .The fatty acid content and IUFA were higher in provenances whose cold resistance were stronger. And the results showed that the fatty acid content and IUFA had a positive correlation with cold resistance of Toona sinensis.

Abstract: Allometry growth on Herba taraxaci, Poa pratens and Viola philippica were analysis with power model. The multiple comparison analysis shows that there are significant differences in quantitative traits among different species. The power model regression analysis shows that the relationships between width and length of the first leaf, length and weight of the first leaf, width and weight of the first leaf, total leaf weight and plant weight, and stem weight and plant weight all are significant or obviously significant power function y=axb. It suggests that in campus same parts leaf modules and plant components of three lawn grasses have the same power function allometric law.

Abstract: Technology of reclaiming condensed water from the thermal channel of double-pane glass curtain wall and applying the reclaimed water in micro-irrigation of natural plants was explored. Selection of plant species for the internal space of double glass curtain wall was studied to meet the ecological technological requirements of double glass curtain wall. Progressive experiment of new technology and simulated calculation of indexes were applied to obtain solar radiation consumption and finally improve indoor and outdoor thermal environment. The results showed that new technologies of applying plants in double glass curtain walls help realize ecological utilization of double glass curtain walls, further reduce energy consumption of buildings.

Abstract: Suaeda salsa L. grown in the intertidal zone and those in high salinity soils of the Yellow River Delta were used to investigate the category and characteristic of photosynthesis and fluorescence. Results showed that the water content, Na+ and Cl- contents of the high salinity soils were lower. The temperature on the surface of soil and in the depth of 10 cm from the surface, the content of K+ and Ca2+ of the high salinity soils were significantly higher than those in the intertidal zone soils. Pn, Gs, Fv/Fm, ФPSII, the fresh weight and dry weight per plant of S. salsa grown in the high salinity soils were higher. However, Ci of S. salsa grown in the high salinity soils were lower. These suggested that S. salsa grown in the high salinity soils was mainly suffering from salt stress, while S. salsa in the intertidal zone soils was suffering from waterlogging, low temperature and salt stress together. S. salsa in the intertidal zone soils decreased light absorption and alleviated photoinhibition, but as a result the biomass was reduced.

Abstract: Sequence-related amplified polymorphism (SRAP) molecular marker was used to detect the genetic diversity of 25 accessions of Phalaris arundinacea Linn that collected from the USA, Russia, Kazakhstan, Canada, LanZhou and HuBei. The following results were obtained: 1) Sixteen primer pairs produced 131 polymorphic bands, with an average of 8.19 bands per primer pair. The percentage of polymorphic bands on average was 89.25%. The polymorphism information content (PIC) ranged from 0.784 to 0.9069, with an average of 0.8696. 2) The Neis genetic similarity coefficient of the tested accessions ranged from 0.5959 to 0.8425, and the average of Neis coefficient was 0.7422. These results suggested that there was rich genetic diversity among the resources of Phalaris arundinacea Linn. 3) Twenty-five accessions were clustered into five groups. Moreover, the accessions from the same or similar origin frequently clustered into one group. The findings implied that the correlation among the resources, geographical and ecological environment.

Abstract: The homogeneous modification of bagasse was investigated without additional catalysts in three solvents with MA and SA as derivatizing reagents. The results indicated that derivatization of bagasse in [C4mim]Cl was achieved at relatively high temperature, while that in DMSO/LiCl and DMSO/NMI was successfully carried out at room temperature. Surprisingly, the higher WPG of bagasse yielded in DMSO/NMI and DMSO/LiCl than in [C4mim]Cl because NMI and LiCl acted as solvent, base, and catalyst. FT-IR and CP/MAS 13C-NMR analyses provided more evidences of derivatization.

Abstract: Chimonanthus grammatus M.C.Liu is an endangered and national-protected medicinal plant species with highly restricted geographical distribution and disjunctly locates in the border area of Anyuan and Huichang county of Jiangxi province, China. In this study, we developed ten microsatellite loci for this species for the first time. Nine of them was screened by combining biotin capture method to enrich (CA)15 /(GA)15 microsatellites, and one primer is designed from one EST sequence (DW222670) of Chimonanthus praecox. Ten microsatellite primers were found to be polymorphic through screening 30 individuals. Na was from two to eighteen. Ho and He ranged from 0.233 to 0.933 and 0.326 to 0.898, respectly. Polymorphic information content (PIC) was from 0.316 to 0.890. Ten microsatellite primers will be useful to investigate the genetic structure of Chimonanthus grammatus M.C.Liu and to explain its morphological differentiation from another species in Chimonanthus.
