Abstract: With the accelerated pace of urbanization, the conflicts of natural resources and urban environment have intensified. This paper summarize the resource carrying capacity method, taking the municipal city Shanghai as sample, calculated Shanghai carrying capacity of water, land and integrated resources. It is found that Shanghais resources carrying capacity has reached its saturation. Therefore, saving water resources, using land rationally and controlling population suggestions have been put forward to Shanghai.

Abstract: Being located in the northwest of Beijing, Guanting Reservoir has been an important source to supply water for life, production and landscape; however, with the increasing urbanization and population agglomeration in the upstream since 1980s, the resource and environment of Guanting Reservoir Basin was also undertaken an increasingly pressure accordingly with water quantity dropped and quality deteriorated, so Guanting Reservoir was ruled out of the drinking water supply system of Beijing since 1997. As a series of ecological protection and management project have been implemented with the 21st century coming, Guanting Reservoir restored its water-supply function for agriculture, ecology and industry in 2003, and restored its function as drinking water source in 2007, so it became an emergency water-supply source of Beijing again. The environmental protection status and economic development model of Guanting Reservoir Basin plays an essential role for water security of Beijing. In this paper, taken Guanting Reservoir Basin as the study case, the land use data of different periods since 1980s have been extracted from remote sensing images of the study area to analyze the land use changes. Based on the land use data, Costanza ecosystem service value formula and correction parameter suitable for China situations, the basin ecosystem service value is calculated to analyze the changes in leading ecosystem function of Guanting Reservoir Basin in different periods. In combination with the social and economic statistical data, the driving factors are discussed for changes in the leading function, and the approaches are put forward to enhance the upstream ecosystem function, so as to guarantee the sustainable economic and social development in the Basin. It is indicated from the research results that: (1) the driving forces for the changes in dominate ecosystem functions of Guanting Reservoir Basin mainly result from policy factor, population factor and economic factor; (2) the ecosystem services of Guanting Reservoir Basin are presented as asymmetric spatial characteristic; and (3) the eco-compensation mechanism is an important means to balance the asymmetry of ecosystem services between the upstream and downstream of Guanting Reservoir Basin and enhance the upstream capacity for provision of ecosystem services. The quantitative eco-compensation mechanism is the key point of follow-up research to enhance ecosystem services; the scenario analysis will have a prospective potential to propose some policy suggestions with more operability.

Abstract: There are many closed limestone mines in Fengshan county, Guangxi autonomous region, Southwest China. The geologic environment in the mining area had been destroyed during the mining period without carrying efficient environment governance and land restoration. In order to mitigate the potential geological hazard risk induced by the closed mines, one representative closed mine is chosen to carry out the research of risk analysis. In the paper, firstly, the mine is divided into different zones according to rock mass structure, and geological environmental problems have been analyzed in each zone. Secondly, the failure mode and risk level are analyzed and determined by comprehensive methods of stereographic projection, rigid limit equilibrium method and numerical simulation (by using FLAC3D and ROCKFALL software). Lastly, risk assessments for the closed mine geological environment are proposed. The analysis shows that the mining face can be divided into eight zones (number from I to VIII), which are mainly composed of intact rock, blocky rock, thick platy rock, karstified rock and rock block accumulation body. The major risk in the area comes from rock collapses and rock falls on the mining face. Most of rock collapse will occur in the zone I and II. Rock fall will occur in the zone I to zone Ⅵ. The highest risk will occur in the zone I, II and VIII.

Abstract: For sustainable development strategy implemented by China, agriculture and countryside are the foundation and the prior fields, facing the greatest challenge and difficulty. New rural development of agricultural and pastoral areas is an important constituent in new rural construction of China as well as a relatively weak link. Wushen Banner in Erdos City of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is a typical agricultural and pastoral area. Towns and sumus in the whole Banner have respective unique characteristics in aspects of regional difference, functional dominance and development conditionality (three characteristics for short), influencing construction and development of new countryside. According to analysis on three characteristics, main modes of new rural development of it are industrial enterprise leading mode, urban construction leading mode, modern agriculture leading mode, ecological animal husbandry leading mode, leisure tourism leading mode and professional market leading mode.

Abstract: At present, the most important thing is how to solve the contrary between rural land institution and economical environment. According the logic of property which has the different structure have no the difference of which is good or which is bad, Then we test the land property structure according the facts of the peasant's income and land policies in 30 years of reform, the conclusion is that the land property structure need not changed, we should optimize it. The emphasis is optimizing the land use right the optimum, the optimum way is the circulation of contractual operation.

Abstract: Most urban planning policies are affected by the industrial structure. This paper gave a positive and comparative analysis on the industrial structure transformation ability and transformation direction of the thirty-one provincial level divisions in China by using principal component analysis, based on theories of regional economic development and industrial economics. The results show that Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shandong have strong industrial structure transformation ability and the industrial transformation direction is in the tertiary industry except for Guangdong, Jiangsu and Shandong. The industrial structure transformation ability over the thirty-one regions exhibits a decreasing trend from the eastern coastal area to the west inland. The sequence of industry structure transformation direction is from the first industry to the second and then to the tertiary for China.

Abstract: Ocean environmental protection and coastal human settlements improvement have always been the important problems in the ocean development of coastal cities in China. The composite ecological effect of ocean development are complex, and have great impacts on ocean productivity and human settlements and human health, etc. After examining the urban planning model and marine pollution data of coastal cities in China, two typical urban planning model which named bay-oriented model and mainland-island model are faced with challenges of ecological degradation. The improvement measures of coastal cities' human settlements are the following that, first, transform the end control to the monitor and control of the key links of ecological environment. Second, transform the artificial landscape of the coast to reconstruction of nature-approximating ecological environment. Third, transform the separate management of land and ocean to land-ocean coordinated governance.

Abstract: Analysis from three aspects of social efficiency, economic efficiency and ecological efficiency of land use efficiency in Xi'an City 2000-2010; using coordination degree model, to calculate the overall coordination degree of social efficie-ncy, economic efficiency and ecological efficiency in Xi'an City. The results show that land-using overall efficiency index in Xi'an has a trend to upward , especially after 2009, coordination degree grows better , tends to a coordin-ationated development.

Abstract: Quantifying agricultural non-point pollution load accurately and understanding contribution of the pollution sources clearly is the base how to control non-point source pollution effectively. Pollution loads from agricultural non-point source in the upper Lianghuai basin of Huairou Reservoir, including Huaisha River and Huaijiu River basin, were estimated according to export coefficient modeling. The results show that total nitrogen and total phosphorus loads in Lianghuai basin respectively are 322.52 t and 35.769 t in 2011.The total nitrogen and total phosphorus load intensities in Huaisha River basin are higher than that in Huaijiu River basin. Farmland planting including orchard and cropland, livestock and poultry breeding and rural domestic waste make a greater contribution to total nitrogen and total phosphorus loads. The study can provide scientific basis for further understanding characteristics of the nitrogen and phosphorus loads and agricultural structure adjustment.
