Abstract: In order to better understanding of the process of optical fiber transmission, a software package which called VPI will be developed to help to investigate the characteristics of the individual communications system components. The system includes source, transmitter, fiber, attenuator, amplifier and receiver that examine and interpret the whole system performance imposed by attenuation and dispersion, conduct the system design and performance analysis at the end. To further reinforce the analysis of experimental process in the fiber optic communications, the bit error rate (BER) will be introduced that enables to evaluate the signal quality performance by examining eye diagram, and explore the bit-rate value imposed on communication systems by noise, attenuation and dispersion. This paper will discuss the design procedure and experimental results associated with particular emphasis on BER.

Abstract: This paper is to present one of the techniques of data mining called the nearest neighbor algorithm to build a web-based recommender system for house trading and matching. The nearest neighbor algorithm is a pragmatic and highly accurate algorithm and can be used in the recommender system. Its use could enhance the systems matching ability so that users can easily obtain the information they need. This system offers a better way to get beyond the disadvantages of the traditional conditional or Boolean method that real estate agencies use to search for appropriate houses. Through improving the traditional but inefficient approach to searching, users will not waste much time without getting useful information or good offers of real estate.

Abstract: At present, the preservation methods of fresh fruits and vegetables to be stored are mainly to cold storage in our country, so the lowed temperature would tend to undermine the inside nutritional ingredient of the fruits and vegetables, and the perishable and other shortcomings. In order to overcome the shortcomings of the traditional fresh-keeping storage, we developed a control system based on fuzzy PID (Proportion Integration Differentiation) inference algorithm for temperature and humidity. Fuzzy PID inference algorithm, by changing the parameters of fuzzy control rule table and adjust the PID system, can adapt to the different requirements of fruits and vegetables in different periods of storage. The experimental result and matlab/simulink simulation show that this method has high precision and rapid responses. It can meet the demand of temperature and humidity control through Fresh-keeping Storage and achieve control precision of 0.4°C and less than ±3%RH for temperature and relative humidity in practical application, respectively.

Abstract: Volume rendering is an important visualization technique that can accurately display the interior information of data. The Ray-casting algorithm is simple and easy to realize, which often apply to area needs high quality resulting image. The new algorithm in this paper uses a spherical bounding box to remove useless rays, an adjustable threshold to skip the empty voxels and avoid unnecessary interpolation computing. To further accelerate the rendering speed, an adjustable error is set to change interpolation types. Experiment proves that the new algorithm effectively accelerates the rendering speed and guarantees the rendering quality.

Abstract: The Safety City of the Internet of Things (SCIOT) is a kind of multi-level, multi-service, polymorphic and multi-mechanism complex system of systems. The SCIOT system is so complex that the risk of system development is high. Thus, it is necessary to take measures to reduce the risk. This paper proposed a Rapid Interactive top-level Design & Demonstration Environment (RID2E) for the risk reducing of this kind of complex system of systems. RID2E adopts a feedback-based top-level design method which divided the design process into six sub-processes consisting of top-level design, rapid prototype development, system integration test, system simulation & emulation, visualization demonstration and sequential feedback. RID2E provided a platform that can achieve cooperative top-level design, full dimensions simulation &emulation, interactive demonstration, systematization display and sequential feedback for SCIOT system. As a typical design process, an emergency command and control system was constructed quickly and effectively based on the RID2E and it proves the method is feasible.

Abstract: This paper in-depth analyses the existing multiprocessor dynamic scheduling algorithms for aperiodic task, andproposes a moderately grouping algorithmbased on grouping and selecting appropriate strategy for the multiprocessor system.Satisfyingthe task deadline ofthe smaller objective function value, grouping strategy give priority to the taskshared access to the resources, improving the utilization rate of resources. Based on the earliest available time between therequired task and theprocessor in system, selecting appropriate strategy will schedule the task to the processor, improvingthe processor utilization.Compared with the existing algorithms, moderately grouping algorithm has a better performance.

Abstract: Todays digitized world is shaped by various electronic devices. Quite everyone takes it for granted to live with all the helpers, comfort functions and all-day electronics. But like every other product, electronic components have to go through a development process, where as one of the very first stages some kind of hardware selection process takes place. Engineers have to decide which components to use so that the final product can be properly used. Especially when using processor controlled devices, the selection affects the whole product, since the processor must be suitable for the requirements by means of calculation power and peripheral support as well as future development through updates. Moreover, it also contributes to the products costs and time to market. Because there are thousands of devices on the market, engineers face a huge problem when having to make the correct decision. Therefore, the paper introduces a software tool called UBCS, the Universal Benchmark and Compare System, intended to support engineers when selecting appropriate processors for their device. It describes the structure and functionality of UBCS and gives hints to the reader how it makes the selection process more substantiated, easier and faster.

Abstract: The development of mobile devices and the spread of wireless network help share and exchange information and resources more easily. Therefore users are able to use the information and service more free than previous wire network due to development of wireless network and device. In order to provide appropriate user services, it enables to recognize users current state, analyze the users profile like users tendency and preference, and draw the service answering the users request. Most existing frameworks, however, are not very suitable for mobile devices because they were proposed on the web-based. And other context information except location information among users context information is not much considered. Therefore, this paper proposed the context-aware framework, which provides more suitable services by using users context and profile.

Abstract: manufacturing e-commerce systems are considered as the backbone of the manufacturing industry in China, Vulnerabilities in web applications continue to be the most frequently discovered security problem. This article illustrates a trusted operating systems how to provide a flexible solution to the problem of application for e-commerce. With the help of Chinese Wall, web services are becoming popular in Web applications. In the end, we present strategies for e-commerce application: trusted e-commerce module.
