Abstract: Accurately forecasting short-term wind speed can effectively reduce the adverse effects of wind power in power systems and improve the competition of wind power in power markets. Because of the wind randomness, there are huge forecasting errors existing in those commonly used forecasting methods at wind mutation points, and through improving the forecasting method itself can merely provide positive effect. From the angle of revision, a new method is going to be proposed and applied to revise the forecasted wind speed in this paper, which is based on the historical data fluctuation characteristics and confidence level. Under this method, we can turn the original forecasted wind speed into the optimized wind speed. The revision method can be applied on all short-term wind forecast methods. The validity and feasibility of this method are going to be verified through a wind speed forecasting method based on the Grey model GM(1,1).

Abstract: Screw presses are exclusively used for extraction of oil from vegetable seeds; having a mechanical assembly where screw shaft is used to press the seeds at high pressures in order to have a reasonable oil yield. Mostly conventional screw presses are used in the commercial and industrial sectors having high O&M costs and hence less life. For this purpose an efficient small scale screw press was selected for this study. The objective was to apply the optimization techniques in order to have a set of optimized decision variables satisfying certain constraints to get the maximum oil yield. The software used for linear optimization was TORATM Version 2.00. The objective function was to maximize the oil yield. The decision variables comprised of seed input, screw speed, motor power, die opening size, total pressure and temperature. Constraints were accordingly defined for each variable and the data was fed to TORAs input grid. The solver menu used the simplex starting all-slack method to solve the LP model. The output of the model selected the optimized variables which resulted in maximum oil yield. To include the losses incurred in the screw press a loss function was developed including the heat losses, mechanical/inertial losses and seed cake losses. The results calculated depicted an oil extraction rate of as high as 35.42% compared to the conventional oil extraction rates of 28-32%.

Abstract: In current Ultrasonic Cleaning simulation, high calculation complexity and low precision is a big problem. The disadvantages of reflecting the sound field characteristics inaccurately and quantitative difficulties exist in the sound field measurements. Firstly, the two-dimensional and three-dimensional models of Ultrasonic Cleaning are established in COMSOL Multiphysics and corresponding cleaning effects under different frequencies are simulated, then the frequencies of cleaning machine suitable for remanufactured components are determined. Finally, by means of staining method, sound field distribution on different work cross-sections in the Ultrasonic Cleaning process is studied. Halcon and Matlab are used in our investigation to deal with the experiment results in order to provide a new idea on the measurement of the sound field of Ultrasonic Cleaning.

Abstract: The rheological behavior of slurry of foam cushion packaging based on fiber and starch was analyzed using digital viscosity meter. Meanwhile the response relationship of viscosity to time, shear rate to shear stress, and viscosity to temperature were also measured. The results showed that the slurry is a kind of non-newtonian fluid with the character of shear thinning. With the increasing of shear rate, apparent viscosity of system keeps in decreasing till the steady state finally. With temperature rising, plastic viscosity and yield strength of slurry will be smaller susceptibly. At last, Casson-Model was chose for the matching of plastic viscosity and yield strength.

Abstract: In order to study the recrystallization of the thermoplastic starch, this paper obtained the IR spectra of starch respectively plasticized by urea, glycerin and glycol. By analytical solutions spectra of vibration frequency of molecular groups, the paper studied the destructive effect of starch crystal structure, and plasticizer to form new hydrogen bonds with starch by hydroxyl group bonded. Excessive plasticizer was not suggested. When the ratio of starch and urea was 102, the thermoplastic starch was excellent in thermoplasticity and hot-workability.

Abstract: Quantitative structuretoxicity relationship (QSTR) studies play an important role in toxicity predicting, and is widely used in the study of modern compounds. Anilines represent one of the most important classes of environmental chemicals. Most of them may cause serious public health and environmental problems. The present work is to develop an effective QSTR model for mutagenicity, a toxicological endpoint which has a significant determinant of cancers, of Anilines. We calculated various descriptors and used linear regression way to select relevant parameters, and built a QSTR model that was correlation with Log P, ELUMO and heat of formation (R2=0.87, SE=0.78, Rcv2=0.867585, F=89.034). The model showed a good forecasting ability. Based on the descriptors, a further discussion was presented for the toxic mechanism. The results show that Log P value has the most important effect on anilines toxicity.

Abstract: This inoculation method inputting photosynthetic bacteria, nitrifying bacteria, compound bacteria etc into the water, to degrade pollutants of the urban lakes in this paper. The results show that, the removal rates of organic substance, chlorophyll-a and nitrogen compounds were 60%, 90% and 50% respectively .Moreover, dissolved oxygen (DO) content increased from 1 to 7 mg/L by adding microbes. The conclusion can be drawn that its feasible for adding microbes into eutrophication water to decontaminate water.
