Abstract: With rapid economic and social development in Tianjin coastal area, environmental impact factors are increasingly complex. In order to study the relationships between macrobenthos and environmental variables, macrobenthos and seven environmental variables (including dissolved oxygen, active phosphate, inorganic nitrogen, ammonia, nitrate, nitrite, and oil) are investigated in the summer of 2004 and 2007. Canonical Correspondence Analysis (CCA) and Redundancy Analysis (RDA) in CANOCO software are all employed in the analysis for mutual authentication of the result. The results indicate that: (1) reactive phosphate and nitrite are the most important impact factor for the macrobenthic community; (2) nitrate is the supplementary factor that explains the macrobenthos data; (3) whether inorganic nitrogen is a key impact factor, it needs further research.

Abstract: Choose an appropriate occasion for aeration equipment update, is an important problem faced by the wastewater treatment plant. This paper discussed the update of urban wastewater treatment equipment in the aeration equipment by economic life analysis methods, proposed a mathematical model and solving method of updating strategy, which is involved in a variety of cost factors and universal optimal, and is verified with examples.

Abstract: This study describes an analytical method employing capillary gas chromatography (GC) using flame ionization detection (FID) that has been developed for the simultaneous determination of chlorobenzenes (m-dichlorobenzene (m-DCB), p-dichlorobenzene (p-DCB), o-dichlorobenzene (o-DCB) and 1,2,4-trichlorobenzene (1,2,4-TCB)) in wastewater. For this purpose, single-drop microextraction (SDME) was applied as a sample preparation technique. The SDME parameters such as types of extractants, volume of the microdroplet size, extraction time, stir rate and immersion depth of needle point were studyed and optimized. The method was linear in the ranges from 4.0×10-3 to 40.0 μg·mL-1 for m-DCB, p-DCB and o-DCB, and 4.0×10-3 to 30.0 μg·mL-1 for 1,2,4-TCB with R2 0.9955. The SDME procedure allowed efficient recovery of the investigated chlorobenzenes ranging between 80 % and 105 % with a relative standard deviation (RSD) ≤6.5 for actual wastewater sampes spiked with 2, 5 and 10 μg·mL-1 of chlorobenzes, respectively. These results showed the potential of this technique for chlorobenzenes monitoring in wastewater samples. Furthermore, the investigated methods are simple, reliable, reproducible, and not expensive.

Abstract: Based on the time series data of ecological environment in Haikou during 2001-2011 and determined the weights of ecological factor by the factor analysis method, the urban ecological environment of Haikou were evaluated dynamically using the comprehensive index evaluation method. The results show that the city ecological environment quality comprehensive index of Haikou is the level III and the ecological degree is general during 2001-2007,while the index of Haikou is the level II and has a higher degree of ecological during 2008-2011. It indicates that Haikou government is effect on promoting the ecological environment construction of the city. In order to construct the ecological environment of Haikou, we should increase the utilize level of water resources, change the use pattern of land resources, focus on the development of economy, improve the people's income level, improve the city medical level and increase the investment of science & technology education.

Abstract: A model for determining of the Taganrog Bay’s trophic status as per hydrochemical indexes is developed. The independent variables for the model are determined, they are: concentration of nitrates, nitrites, ammonium ion, phosphates, temperature, salinity and current velocity. The water reservoir’s trophic status research is conducted, its modern trophic status, the ecology allowable concentration of biogens and the ecology reserves for the water reservoir have been calculated.

Abstract: This study describes an analytical method employing capillary gas chromatography (GC) using flame ionization detection (FID) that has been developed for the simultaneous determination of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) in wastewater, including naphthalene, 1-naphthol, 2-naphthol and anthracene. For this purpose, single-drop microextraction (SDME) was applied as a sample preparation technique. The SDME parameters such as types of extractants, volume of the microdroplet size, extraction time, stir rate and immersion depth of needle point were investigated and optimized. The method was linear in the ranges from 2.3 ×10-3 to 70.0 μg·mL-1 for naphthalene, 1-naphthol and anthracene, and 2.2 ×10-3 to 50.0 μg·mL-1 for 2-naphthol with R2 ≥ 0.9990. The SDME procedure allowed efficient recovery of the investigated PAHs ranging between 94 % and 104 % with a relative standard deviation (RSD) ≤4.2 for actual wastewater sampes spiked with 5, 10 and 20 μg·mL-1 of PAHs, respectively. These results showed the potential of this technique for PAHs monitoring in wastewater samples. Furthermore, the investigated methods are simple, reliable, reproducible, and not expensive.

Abstract: Based on the MIPS method, material input model of raw coal production was built. Taking two coal groups which were typical as investigation object, the material input coefficients of groups raw coal production were calculated. The results showed that the air input of unit raw coal was about 0.03t/t whatever it is open pit or underground mine for two groups. The water input of underground mine was slightly high above open pit mine and the average was 6.69t/t. The solid abiotic material input of open pit mine which was about 8.45t/t was far above underground mine which was about 1.36t/t. In the all full production mines of two groups, the water input proportion was biggest in unit raw coal production and the average was about 68.21%.The solid abiotic material input accounted for 31.49% while air was just about 0.3%.

Abstract: Aiming at the current maintenance of the lead-acid batteries on CDMA bases, this paper analyses the main reasons for the failure of the lead-acid batteries, puts forward the equipment for detecting the parameters of batteries and restoring the defective one, and develops the remote control platform to realize the simultaneous motoring of the battery working states on the base. With the data analysis, the automatic control can be achieved to charge, discharge and restore the batteries. The scientific and reasonable charge and discharge control can improve effectively the lead-acid battery working life and the maintenance efficiency of the spare batteries on the base, hence reducing the maintenance cost.

Abstract: Through an analysis about the atmospheric environment SO2 space effect of China from 2000 to 2011, this article puts forward that the atmospheric pollution in China is influenced by per capital GDP and industrial structure to a large extent. Meanwhile, environmental efficiency factors which should restrict atmospheric environmental pollution have positive spillover effect to environmental pollution to surrounding area, which indicates that the environmental pollution treatment in China in current stage is only transition of the pollution in a disguised form. In some regions, industries are moved to less developed areas around in order to enhance their environmental compliance, so polluting industries cannot be moved out like those in developed regions and the environment is difficult to improve.

Abstract: Part of the growing environmental problem within academic institutions is the accumulation of solid waste in large volume and health risk it poses to humans and other living creatures. Waste generators non-challant attitude towards throw away culture is one of the major problems. An extended theory planned behaviour (TPB) research model which incorporates attitudes, subjective norms and perceived behavioural control will be used to understand the specific behaviour and identify the underlying factors which influence the behaviour of students towards reduce reuse and recycle (3Rs) program. The conceptual model will be used to develop a new system or improve existing systems of reduce reuse and recycle practice behaviour amongst the students within an academic environment, and provide a forum for discussion among researchers and practitioners worldwide.
