Abstract: Natural insulation materials have great potential of development given the contemporary requirements of the society in terms of reducing the energy demands of the production of building materials and the reduction of CO2 emissions. Natural fibers are characteristic by their high moisture absorption and combustibility. The paper describes the results of research in the field of heat and moisture transfer within the structure of insulating materials based on natural fibers (hemp). The results of the experiments provided input data for computational simulations of hygrothermal behavior of hemp based fiber insulation applied in building envelopes.

Abstract: The thermal insulation of buildings, intended as wrap feature which determines the dispersion of heat, the reference parameter is necessary to contain the thermal losses during the winter season. The transmittance of the opaque components, used as an indicator of the energy quality of a casing, together with the overall coefficient of dispersion, represents a proper descriptor of the behavior during the heating season. However, if a strong insulation in winter conditions brings only positive effects, the same cannot be said for the summer conditions. A high value of the insulation in the casing is convenient only when the gains free, either in the form of solar contribution that of endogenous heat, are controlled and restricted. From the national transposition of the 2002/91/CE legislation up to the 2010/31/EU on the energy performance of buildings, performance values are set very restrictive transmittance of opaque surfaces that both of those transparent to the new buildings. The same does not happen for the thermophysical characteristics able to implement strategies for the control of solar radiation during the summer period, the fluctuations in external temperatures during the summer period. This article shows some experimental evidence of the effects on transmission rate and density of the opaque elements of the buildings carried out on a case study of a representative building of climate-Mediterranean summer: The study verify the results produced by increased insulation of the building envelope on energy performance of buildings during the summer through indicators such as temperature and energy consumption to maintain the same constant with respect to the prescribed values.

Abstract: The influence of water absorption and chloride permeability for high content mineral admixtures HPC with W/B ratio and curing age have been tested, pore structure of concrete have been tested by mercury intrusion method (MIP) and the relationship with permeability resistance also have been analyzed. The research show that chloride ion penetration resistance and water absorption decreased significantly with the extension of curing age and low W/B ratio. Marine engineering high-performance concrete with double adding fly ash and blast furnace slag has excellent resistance to chloride ion permeability. The pore structure of concrete can optimize by double adding and the pore distribution are more reasonable.

Abstract: Gate decoration art is one of Chinese traditional architecture decoration. It not only has own structure form and material form of building passageway against with that of other nations in the world, but so is a cultural background miniature of Chinese nation, and it is a material carrier of folk culture and decorative pattern. Decorative arts of gates detail components in Chinese traditional architecture have contained abundant aesthetic value and cultural connotation, all of this endowed gate decoration art with secret oriental color.

Abstract: The article is devoted to the development of dry masonry mixtures on the basis of hollow ceramics microspheres. It considers the effect of the concentration of hollow ceramics microspheres of different size fractions in the masonry mortar on physical, mechanical and technological properties of the mortar. The optimum compositions of lightweight mortars with hollow microspheres were developed and their main properties were studied as well.

Abstract: During construction process and life, a number of negative influences can have effect on masonry structures; moisture, which is undesirable in the masonry, can be one of such influences. The lower area of the masonry (plinth walling) is strained the most by the moisture. The paper deals with potential reduction of the effect of moisture in places, where the masonry structure is founded, through hydrophobization of walling units. Such solution of the issue of protection of the building structure against the influence of humidity should not have negative effect on the resulting masonry parameters, particularly not on the potential application of surface treatment materials. The collective influence of the surface treatment materials, consisting usually of plaster, and the actual masonry should be ensured.

Abstract: This article takes the example of the architectural skin of Wuhan Construction Plaza with the curtain wall reconstructed. By actual thermal performance measurement of architectural skin of the building, datas such as surface temperature of inner and outer skin component, temperature and wind speed between air spaces are obtained for collating and analyzing, the effect of double-skin on thermal performance of building envelope in actual engineering application is studied, and heat insulation of the applied double-skin in the passive energy-efficient design is therefore verified. This article is to provide a reference to the double-skin energy-efficient design in the hot summer area as well as to provide ideas for research and application of passive building energy saving.

Abstract: Based on the understanding of diseases of building’s foundation and manmade slope caused by water capillary rise, this thesis carried out a large number of laboratory tests by selfdeveloped absorption permeameter for unsaturated soil, in order to explore the capillary transport law of unsaturated soil. The thesis obtains some valuable results and conclusions: The moisture content shows minishing trend as the seepage fronts increasing, and reflects the gravitational potential of normal relations with the capillary action; (2) the water seepage frontal Hω% relation curve has no obvious inflection point, but the initial water content has an certain influence on the capillary moisture content distribution, the moisture content uses the initial moisture content of 12.5%, 9.8%, 8.0% and5.3% for testing showed an increasing trend at 4 cm and 16 cm sections, and the moisture content at the same section increased with the initial moisture content increasing, this reflects the rule that the smaller the moisture content is, the greater the matric potential, the water absorption capacity becomes stronger. (3)The moisture content difference between 4 cm and 16 cm of the initial moisture content is 12.5%, 9.8%, 8.0% and 9.8% is 1.48 %, 1.5 %, 1.7 % and 2.2 %, indicating that the smaller the initial moisture content is, the difference at the vertical section is greater. Finally, based on the relationship of Hω% curve, the thesis establishes the grey correlation prediction model, and forecasts the maximum capillary height of Lishi loess is 182cm.

Abstract: Coal gangue, acting as the solid skeleton of pavement base materials, can efficiently reduce the drying shrinkage. Additionally, similar to fly ash in mixture material, gangue can react with lime (so called pozzolanic reaction), resulting in the formation of pavement base with a certain strength, good water stability and frost resistance, are good overall at the grass-roots level. Many cities in our country has gradually tried to use different kinds of industrial waste residue instead of sand to prepare the pavement base materials. This way, not only the waste residue is recycled, the lack of sand aggregates in road construction can also be overcome, which facilitate technical and economic growths.
