Abstract: Throughout todays society, with the further development of economic globalization, public buildings in large space present the tendance of multi-direction and diversification, among all the public buildings in large space, the principles of eco-designing strategy are quite special. On the basic of principles of eco-designing, the author analyses the strategy of eco-designing through some examples. The author presents his opinion mainly from four aspects: smart usage of underground spaces, perfect integration with environment, active adoption of eco-construction, initiative expansion of the green energy, finally, the author tries to come up with the design pattern to summarize the main eco-design strategies of public buildings in large space.

Abstract: In seasonal frozen regions, shallow landslide hazards in soil slopes usually happen. The type of failure surface is always on the freezing and thawing surface in the soil slope. So the direct influence factor of soil slope failure is the soil shear strength of the freezing and thawing (F-T) surface. The shear strength of the soil is determined by the two parameters of Cohesion c and Friction angle φ. In this study model experiment of F-T soil interface with different aggregate materials is designed by alternating the F-T cycle times, then the parameters c and the φ were obtained. Finally the deterioration modal of the two shear strength parameters of soil interface was put forward. The results demonstrated when the slope stability in the seasonal frozen regions was analyzed using shear strength reduction method, the two deterioration modals can provide the data reference for the analysis.

Abstract: A spatial statistic method for quantitative analysis of cohesive soil containing calcareous nodules mesostructure was illustrated in ArcGIS. Through cluster unsupervised classification methods of raster image processing, calcareous nodules can be extracted from soil mesostructure images. Using standard deviational ellipse, the orientation angles of calcareous nodules can be fast determined, and the area, perimeter, thickness and characteristics of ellipse of calcareous nodules can be measured by geometry statistics. Based on the above statistical data, the granularity, eccentricity and orientation distribution can be obtained by fractal analysis. The results show that the method is more scientific, reliable and efficient for the quantitative analysis of cohesive soil containing calcareous nodules mesostructure.

Abstract: There are a lot of the potential security hazard in many rural breeding sheds. Some which are improper construction has jeopardized to people's lives and wealth. Peasants themselves mostly construct breeding sheds by the traditional empirical formula or the mimetic one in order to cost savings. Reasonable construction structure and correct building methods have a positive effect on reducing property loss and protecting people's safety.

Abstract: BIM is a direct application of information technology in construction industry. It covers the whole life cycle of engineering construction, including project planning, design, construction, operation and maintenance. BIM improves the engineering quality, saves cost and improves production efficiency. In this paper, we will discuss the application of BIMs collaborative integrated function in engineering construction project and BIMs future application.

Abstract: The work considers the pre-requisites for the development of a scientific methodology of determination of optimum water content in hard raw mixes used for the production of high-strength concrete. The main idea of the methodology is the capillary structures hypothesis which considers the laws of formation of irregular structures under the conditions of balance of the forces among the particles in three-phase disperse systems. The structure formation under the effects of capillary cohesion in disperse systems has been studied; the capillary cohesion was considered as a factor influencing the formation of the optimum structure of raw mixes for compressed construction composites and determining the strength of the products.

Abstract: Study of fiber reinforced plastics (i.e. CFRP, BFRP and AFRP) for rectangular beams reinforcement effect, using the FRP were 90o vertically and 45o slantingly parceled 10 rectangular timber beams shear performance, recorded specimen failure process. This paper analyzes the different FRP reinforcement plies, different reinforcement on beam properties of specimen, failure mode, bearing capacity, load-deflection relationship and strain distribution. The results showed that: FRP changed beams brittle failure mode, improve the beam bending, shear performance, ultimate bearing capacity increased by 28.2%~55.1%, the stiffness of the specimen and also improved ductility. In addition, its more effective to paste the FRP sheets vertically than slantingly with the angle of 45°. Using FRP strengthening beams the performance of the method is effective, the method can significantly improve the performance of wood. To improve the utilization efficiency of wood, expand the application range of timber provides useful reference.

Abstract: Sustainability on campus has become an increasingly important issue. In this paper, an integrated building energy and environment management system (BEEMS) on campus is proposed based on the campus network. The system includes two components: energy monitoring and environment monitoring. The system employs local network on campus and uses ZigBee technology to gather energy or environmental data from anywhere on campus. This system can supply rich analysis and report functions to monitor both the energy consumption and environmental parameters, which can ultimately improve the energy automation management level of the campus and help create a sustainable, healthy campus environment.

Abstract: There is mentioned some methods of creation variable density cellular concrete, offered original technique. There are presented some properties of the developed material in comparison with the analogue. Variable density cellular concrete can be described as the material with equal variation of density from its periphery to the center. Potentially it will help to improve strength properties and at the same time to maintain low thermal conductivity value of the variable density units.
