Abstract: Nonlinear TE-polarized surface plasmons localized at the interface between graphene and metamaterials are investigated analytically. The normalized momentum of graphene surface plasmons at the interface between graphene and metamaterials composed of arrays of wires and split-ring resonators (SRR) embedded into a nonlinear dielectric exhibits bistable behavior with the magnetic field intensity. The effect is explained by the hysteresis-type dependence of the nonlinear permeability of metamaterials on the field intensity.

Abstract: We made the modeling and simulation of the previously experimental GaN photocathode. During the construction of the GaN model, we found some important properties that influence the final simulation result, which includes: the settings of the grid, the definition of the cesium layer and the simulation method that is used when processing the calculation. The result shows that at some wavelengths, the spectral response changed very abruptly and its cut off wavelength was 380nm not 365nm. This early job supplies the inspiration for the further research work in this area.

Abstract: Development and application of resin capsules in Chinese coal mines were introduced in this paper, including the category, feature, applicability and basic parameters. The paper pointed out that unsaturated polyester resin capsules were the most widely used in Chinese coal mines. A kind of newly-developed low-viscosity resin capsule was applied to industrial test in Fengshuigou Colliery, and the results showed that the high pre-stress and intensive bolting system could effectively control the violent displacements of the surrounding rock, and it provided an effective approach for the support of soft rock roadway. Finally the future developments of resin capsules were prospected.

Abstract: Distribution of damage clusters according to size and local density is investigated on the basis of probabilistic cellular automaton proposed by the authors. Specific features of the distributions typical for systems that are prone to disasters are identified.

Abstract: Rare Earth (RE) were added to industrial AZ91 magnesium alloy, so that RE-AZ91 Mg alloy was produced by the process of die casting, so as to study the effect of RE on corrosion resistance and tensile strength of Mg alloy. The experiment results show that RE addition could improve the tensile strength and corrosion resistance of magnesium alloy at a certain amount of RE. RE-AZ91 had a good heat resistance, corrosion resistance at a high temperature or in the environment applied constant voltage, with a high tensile strength.

Abstract: Aging and deterioration (such as weakening of concrete strength and loss of prestress) of various degree will inevitably happen to prestressed concrete beam in service. In making the prestressed concrete beam, it is of vital importance to ensure that the prestress tension is sufficient, duct grouting is compact enough and concrete pouring is in good quality. Otherwise, structure will deteriorate faster and safety hazard and even bridge collapse may ensue, causing considerable economic losses.

Abstract: In order to improve the rate of finished products, failure analysis of 35CrMoA high speed train shaft was carried out by means of chemical analysis, gas element analysis, macrostructure check, fracture pattern analysis, metallographical analysis, hardness testing and other analytical methods. The results show that the big forged cracks are caused by serious non-metallic inclusion and improper hot working processes. And the brittle fracture of the shaft is mainly caused by big forged cracks and great residual stress. Meanwhile, it has suggested that the shaft should be detected by supersonic wave along axial and radial direction after forging and heat process.

Abstract: In this paper, the actual operation of the superconducting motor and electrical parameters, a detailed analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the existing quench detection method. After that I proposed an innovative detection method - voltage phase difference detection. On this basis, the design phase detection method based on the voltage difference quench detection and protection systems, based on stand-alone test and NI development platform test results, we verify its feasibility of the voltage phase difference detection method, and great superiority.

Abstract: In this paper, the production technology and application of carbohydrate-based fat mimics (CBFM) from starch of mung beans was studied for further exploitation. The starch of mung beans was hydrolyzed by enzyme and used in processing of low-fat sausage as fat mimics. The condition of enzyme hydrolysis is that enzyme recruitment was 6 U/g, the substrate concentration was 15%, the hydrolysis time was 15min, the reaction temperature of 85°C. The best formula is adding amount of CBFM 14%, starch 15%, water 16%, carrageenan 0.9%. Compared to the non-simulated fat sausage, the cooking loss of the low-fat sausage was reduction, adhesion increases, water retention rate increases, fat content reduces, freeze-thaw stability has increased, which avoids sausage retrogradation and increases the storage stability of the products.

Abstract: Pseudo-living radical polymerization and reverse atom transfer radical polymerization (RATRP) of methyl methacrylate (MMA) were reported, utilizing tris-(4-acetyphenyl) methane (TAcPM) as the thermal iniferter and initiator, respectively. The polymerization of MMA using TAcPM as thermal iniferter possesses pseudo-living characteristics: Mn increases with conversion in a certain range, and the resulted polymer can be used as the macro-initiator for chain extension. The RATRP using TAcPM as the initiator shows linear kinetic plot, linear increase of Mn with conversion and narrow polydispersity indice (PDI) of the resultant polymers.
