Abstract: Researches show that groundwater easily leads to tunnel disease. Groundwater seepage field is changed after the tunnel excavated. When crossing the fault fracture zone with groundwater, the tunnel will be cut into independent units with water. Along with the tensile stress on the tunnel invert and upper apex, it's prone to landslides and other damages. This paper analyzes the mechanism of interaction of water and rock, and describes the failure mechanism made by groundwater on the rock by RFPA2D, then analyzes the changes of groundwater seepage field before and after the tunnel excavation by using Rocscience Slide, finally the conventional Inflow prediction methods are contrasted.

Abstract: In this study, water samples were collected from water system of Beijing urban area and analyzed by inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) method and total organic carbon analyzer to determine the contents of TOC, TP and TN. The results revealed that among the 133 samples there were respectively 16.54%, 28.57% and 39.85% samples’ detected TOC, TP and TN higher than the permitted values. It was especially serious about the sewage outlet along the riverside.

Abstract: Using grid flocculation technology inspected the effect of treatment of sewage by the addition of coagulant PAC. After the device is stable, under the 40 mg/L of dosage and 17.1 min of flocculation time conditions, the removal of turbidity, COD, NH3-N and TP is 72%, 48%, 13.8% and 77%.

Abstract: In this paper a fuzzy logic prediction method is proposed to assess water quality status of a reservoir in northeast China through wireless sensor networks. This model was used to analyze the historical data that were collected monthly by local monitoring stations and predict water quality level. Six water quality parameters of BOD5, COD, fluoride, ammonia, total phosphorus (TP), and total nitrogen (TN) were monitored from 2011 to 2012. This result indicated that the methodology adopted in this study was basically an attractive alternative, offering a relatively fast algorithm to predict the water quality parameters.

Abstract: Catchments delineation is important for urban storm sewer design, traditional manual delineation depends on the experience and is time consuming. With consideration of features like roads and streams that affect catchments dynamics, a GIS-based delineation approach is presented. Using sink filling, reconditioning and hydro analysis method, the catchments can be delineated automatically and precisely based on digital elevation models (DEM).

Abstract: Effect of the dosage of flocculants on sludge dewatering is analyzed through the determination of sludge specific resistance to filtration. Sludge dewatering behaviors conditioned on Polymeric aluminum, PAM, fly ash and composite flocculants have been compared. The results show all the conditioning agent have help to sludge dewatering. Fly ash from electric power plant as conditioning agent can greatly reduce the specific resistance of sludge and the dewatering performance can be improved. The optimal dosage of fine powdered coal is 20g/100mL and coarse powdered coal is 30g/100mL.Powdered coal is mixed with sludge to form filter cake which is blended with coal in certain proportion to make into fuel.

Abstract: With biofilm reactor and continuous membrane filtration as the core, this paper proposes to establish biochemical module and membrane processing module, which can from the biofilm - membrane filtration process. In the part of biochemical module, diverse processing function can be realized by adjusting the operation conditions of the pumps and fans. Meanwhile, the number and operation condition of biochemical module could be changed flexibly according to the actual processing needs. Thereby, the standardization and generalization of biochemical module can be achieved. And in the part of membrane processing module, the processing capacity can also be expanded through frequency converting control and increasing the number of membrane module. An engineering project of decentralized sewage reuse is built, and the outlet water quality can reach the expected standard, which suggests that the modular design concept has good feasibility.

Abstract: Water shortage is the main problem faced by many of the world's major cities. Water recycling is the effective way to solve the problem of city water shortage. This paper introduces the design and development of an information platform aimed to manage city reclaimed water, and realized its visualization and digitalized management based on the fundamental reclaimed water data as well as WebGIS and spatial database technology. This paper expounds the structure, functions, and spatial database design of the platform. It also refers the key technologies in building the platform such as ArcGIS Server and Flex. Finally it shows part of the results.

Abstract: Chemical phosphorus removal is widely applied to enhance the biological phosphorus removal in order to meet the discharge requirement. Performance change caused by ferrous sulfate was investigated in this study. Compared to the control system which was not chemically dosed, pH and SVI slightly decreased while conductivity increased. The correlation between phosphorus and conductivity was weakened. The release and uptake of potassium declined, illustrating a negative impact of chemical precipitant on phosphorus accumulating organisms (PAO). The phosphorus uptake decreased while phosphorus release fluctuated. The phosphorus was not suitable for revealing the metabolic activity of PAO due to formation of ferric phosphate and ferric hydroxide.

Abstract: More reasonable management for water resources use may be critical to survive water crisis and realize sustainable development of urban-water system. This work attempts to set up a assessment model for regional industrial water utilization structure based on synergetics theory and grey method. In this model, both economic benefit and environmental effect are considered.
