The hexagonal close-packed (hcp) structure of AZ31 alloy, however, produces its well-known anisotropic mechanical properties [2] and difficult formability mainly at ambient temperatures, which represent one of the primary obstacles to its usability.
Scanning electron microscope with tungsten heated cathode (SEM; Tescan Vega) and energy dispersive spectrometer (EDS; Bruker) was also employed to reveal surface morphology and chemistry, respectively.
The most probable chemistry of corrosion products is MgO and Mg(OH)2.

The effect of doping modifies the energy gap, creating imperfections in the crystal structure, changes in the energy states, and an increase in the mobile charge density of the NS.
Samples show a single cubic structure for pure Ce2S3 and a mixed-phase of cubic structure for Y3+:Ce2S3 NPS without detectable secondary phase and crystallite phase matches with JCPDS file number # 81-0792.
Y3+:Ce2S3 NPS were found to be mixed cubic crystal structures and the crystallite size varies between 35 nm-18 nm.
