The selection of these materials, with the aim of the lowest possible
mass of the sandwich composite at a constant bending stiffness, is displayed systematically within this
work.
Within this work, a systematic material selection of the materials for the face sheet and core of sandwich structures is carried out with the aim to optimize the stiffness-to-weight ratio.
Both foam types were based on an aluminium alloy, the boundary densities were 10-25% for the closed-cell foam, and 7- 20% for the open-cell foam.

Owing to the impact-fusion coating
manufacturing process, only ductile metals (Zn, Ag, Cu, Al, Ti, Nb, Mo, etc.), alloys (Ni-Cr,
Cu-Al, Ni alloys, McrAlYs, etc.) and polymers can be sprayed.
These include pure metals (Ag, Al, Cu, Fe, Mo, Ta, Ti, Zn, etc.) low alloy steels, Ni-Cr alloys, Ni base superalloys, Stainless steel, Zn alloys, Al alloys, Cu alloys, MCrAlY, etc.
At last Fe-Al intermetallic compounds have been produced using a ball-milled metastable Fe-Al-WC powder, spraying it by cold spray and then annealing coatings at a temperature over 500°C to form Fe-Al intermetallic compounds.
Self fluxing alloys: It results in rather dense and hard coatings [105-108].
These self-fluxing alloys can be reinforced with hard ceramic particles such as WC [109]

The design and manufacture of cermet-type composite materials aims to obtain materials with physical, mechanical, and chemical properties that are better than those of their component materials.
The phase corresponded to Grossite (CaAl2O7) is expected because, in the bibliography, it has been reported that due to the pressing process, there are zones with uniformity of quantities of CaCO3 and Al2O3 by which CaAl2O4 compounds already formed interact with zones rich in CaCO3 and form phases like the one reported in the work with a greater number of oxygen atoms. Goldsmith et.al [106] made an automated approach to filter out 4,000 solvent free structures out of a Cambridge Structure database of 600,000 + compounds for their porosity, surface area, and total theoretical H2 uptake for both gravimetric and volumetric values.

The yield of cross-linking is enhanced in the presence of polyunsaturated compounds, such as polyfunctional vinyl monomers.
Major advantages of radiation curing include reduction or elimination of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and it is faster process than chemical curing.
Graft copolymers can be considered as polymeric alloys.
Chemical composition of the wastewater consists of organic dyes, surfactants and other organic compounds.
Table 5 summarizes the dose needful for removal of aromatic compounds from water.

The samples were produced either by wet lay-up or by press moulding of MgO thickened prepregs (similar to sheet moulding compound).
The following test matrix was used - 6 specimens were tested before treatment; - 18 specimens underwent ageing treatment according to ASTM G 36 standard (this environment provides an accelerated method of ranking the relative degree of stress-corrosion cracking susceptibility for stainless steels and related alloys in aqueous chloride-containing environments). 9 specimens underwent treatment with pH = 7 (Fig. 6a) in an aqueous solution with 42% MgCl2. 9 specimens underwent treatment with acidic pH7 (Fig. 6b) adding to the previous aqueous solution HNO3, (1.5 cm3 in volume at a concentration of 67%).
The tests of accelerated ageing and water absorption have evidenced the resistance of the material adopted to the aggressiveness of the marine atmosphere; in the realization of real prototypes it is previewed however the utilisation of waterproofing treatments on the exposed parts, to the aim to improve the mechanical property of the composite.
