Interval finite element computation based on INTLAB for statical analysis of truss structures with large uncertainties Xiao Shi1, a, Renpeng Wang1, b and Weiting Huang1, c 1Department of building engineering, Tongji University, 1239 Siping Road, Shanghai 200092, China atjshixiao@126.com, brenpengwang@hotmail.com, cspaking411@126.com Keywords: Interval parameters, Interval finite element method, fixed point iteration, truss structures Abstract.
Introduction In practical engineering problems, numerous uncertainties exist in the geometry, material and loads parameters which inevitably lead to some degree of uncertainty of the structural response.
Therefore, the concept of uncertainty plays an important role in the investigation of various engineering problems.

Nowadays these methods are widely used in different kind of science like physics, chemistry or engineering.
In the sixties of the twentieth century the modern computers become available for the scientists, who worked in a different civil laboratories, universities and scientific centers (not only in US government labs).

Influence of Fly Ash Dosage and Desert Sand Replacement Ratio (DSRR) on the Carbonation Resistance of Concrete Renguang Tao1,a, Qian Zhang1,b, Haifeng Liu1,c*, Hejiao Ma1,d, Shu Ing Doh2,e 1College of Civil and Hydraulic Engineering, Ningxia University, Yinchuan 750021, China; 2College of Engineering, University Malaysia Pahang, Lebuhraya Tun Razak, 26300 Gambang Kuantan Pahang, Malaysia a1451354568@qq.com, b1144706547@qq.com, c*liuhaifeng1557@163.com, dmahejiao71523@163.com, edohsi@ump.edu.com Keywords: carbonation; desert sand concrete; fly ash; sand replacement ratio Abstract: Carbonation of concrete causes corrosion of the steel reinforcement and reduces the service life of the structure.
To some extent, it is able to alleviate the shortage of sand resources to replace some of the medium sand with desert sand for engineering construction.
However, it is worth studying how the carbonation resistance of concrete changes when fly ash and desert sand are used together, and whether there is a ratio that can be used to prepare concrete from fly ash and desert sand to meet engineering applications.
Not only does it meet the needs of the engineering, but it also puts more waste resources to effective use.
The detailed experimental analysis will provide strong support for the practical application of the engineering.
