Abstract.
Recent researches indicated the significant advantages of using higher grade linepipes, such as X100 even X120 grade pipeline, in constructing long distance pipeline, because it can improve transportation efficiency by increasing internal transportation pressure, and material cost can be saved by reducing wall thickness of pipe body that is consumable for girth welding [1~5].

Abstract Since Hsu in our group proposed a novel quenching-partitioning-tempering (Q-P-T) process in 2007, Q-P-T steels with ultrahigh strength and ultrahigh strength-ductility are greatly developed.
Quenching temperature (Tq) is one of the key factors achieve the volume fraction ratio of martensite and retained austenite required for desired mechanical properties.

Study on Surface Modification of Aluminum Alloys by Silicate-based Hybrid Coating

Introduction The sol-gel technology for metallic surface pretreatment is one of the relatively generic approaches in surface engineering and corrosion protection, as it can avoid the use of Cr(VI)-containing primer, which is environmental harmful.
It is considered that the aluminum element existing in the silica-based hybrid coatings plays a key role as network adjustor in improving the structure of the coating, thus modifies the compatibility between the substrate and the coating.

Abstract
The aim of the present work is to use intrinsically conducting polymers (ICPs) to improve the corrosion resistance ability of the galvanic coupling of galvanized steel coupled with steel by coating it with polypyrrole (PPy).
Key words Corrosion resistance, polypyrrole, galvanic corrosion, electropolymerization, conducting polymers Introduction Steel galvanization is a sacrificial protection method for steel against corrosion where, a layer of zinc is applied on the surface of steel either electrochemically or by hot dipping of steel in molten zinc.
