Abstract: For effectively use patents as information resource for aiding product innovation and avoid patent infringement, a method using patent knowledge based on Design Structure Matrix (DSM) and Theory of Innovative Problem Solving (TRIZ) is proposed. First the couple relationship between different components in objective patent of product is analyzed by DSM. Next deep knowledge of component which has least couple relationship with other components and lower restriction of creation is acquired from patent. Last the component is redesigned by TRIZ according to the design requirements. The method is illustrated by the innovation design of an ATV with shock-absorption function.

Abstract: As conventional technique of cold extruding process face the problems that the equipment must provide large extrusion force during the workpiece extruding process, it has huge flow stress of the material and the frictional force between the mould and blank against the material flow under room temperature. To solve these problems, this article put forward a cold extruding mould with vibration. By simulation analysis of conventional and vibration of cold extrusion of travel load and velocity field, the force of vibration extrusion is reduced by 54% than that of conventional cold extrusion; therefore the forming surface of the parts and the material flow speed of vibration cold extrusion is greatly improved

Abstract: In the product modeling based on the reverse engineering, the point cloud data smoothing and multi-view point cloud data registration will be related to search some nearest neighbor points. The search speed will determine the efficiency of product modeling in some cases. The paper analysis the nearest neighbor point query algorithms, KD tree and Range tree, based on the space partition principle. The tree structure creation and query method are described by pseudo-code in the paper. Finally, the experimental results involving different sizes point clouds demonstrate that KD tree and Range tree have their own advantages in space storage and time complexity. Two data strictures all meet the efficiency of the search algorithm.

Abstract: Bionic design is the study on the operation principle of natural biological system and the outstanding ability they have in the long process of evolution, then make it stereotyped and apply the principle to design and manufacture a new design. Its purpose is not copying each detail mechanically, but to analyze biological function and structure and understand the working principle of biological systems, and then apply it to the design of future. This article summarizes the application in modern product of bionic design according to form bionic, function bionic, structural material bionic these three aspects, analyze it combining with the example, summarize the characteristics of bionic design and the specific application method in modern product design.

Abstract: In order to analyze the adaptation of an automobile chassis platform in handling stability and ride comfort when assembled in different car models, VC++ and ADAMS were used to develop a specific simulation module for suspension performance analysis of the chassis platform, which could not only create the parametric modeling of the front and rear suspension, the other subsystems and the whole vehicle quickly, but also accomplish the analysis and optimization of handling stability and ride comfort. By adopting this module, kinematic simulation analysis and vehicle simulation model for the front and rear suspension of this chassis platform when assembled in two different cars models named A1, A2 were carried out, then steering pulse simulation analysis which can reflect handling stability, score evaluation and ride comfort in random road were proceeded according to the national standards. The results show that this simulation module has superior application value in engineering and the two different car models equipped with this chassis platform have better handling stability and ride comfort.

Abstract: Aiming to the problems of the pneumatic-hydraulic supercharging press such as only supporting small force and forming micropart of sheet metal or nonmetal, the pneumatic-hydraulic supercharging press of Lever Amplifier was designed integrated pneumatic-hydraulic with lever mechanism, it can support 30 Ton force. Its working parameters were calculated, its machine frame structure was built in virtue of Solidworks, supporting plate of PHSP frame were analyzed and optimized by FEM CosmosWorks. The result shows that thickness of supporting plate with two holes is superior, it deflection is small, this structure is simple, reliable, operating safe and convenient, the most important item is to put forward to the new-type press machine for thickness metal sheet forming.

Abstract: Chinese traditional color-culture (CTCC) is the important foundation to build the human color cultural discipline. In order to carry on the knowledge management and cultural innovation, the introduction of management principles to CTCC is imperative. Firstly, based on computer technology and interdisciplinary knowledge, the paper uses game theory to analyze the necessity of carrying on the knowledge management and cultural innovation for CTCC. Secondly, the management principles are used to form the sub-systems of CTCC, and to carry on its knowledge management. Finally, we explain the culture innovative ways of the seven sub-systems of CTCC. By carrying on knowledge management and cultural innovation, it can be used in the design-education and the computer design, and in establishing a good foundation for the color-cultural discipline.

Abstract: The Chinese traditional color-culture (CTCC) is not only an important classical of Chinese civilization, but also one cultural system lacking the modern scientific methods of management. Based on the sustainable development concept, this paper firstly analyzes the feasibility of introduction management methods in CTCC. Secondly, we discuss how to use the management principles to manage CTCC. Thirdly, we try to reform design education based on CTCC. Finally, use it to carry on widely confirms in the modern design practice. This research work can not only be used to improve the levels of training for the creative design talents, but also solve the problems of the misunderstanding and the friction between different nationalities due to no color-culture knowledge in the world cultural exchange and economic activities.

Abstract: Along with the rapid development of science and technology, the safety of electromechanical products caught our more and more attention. Combining the factors of human and object in the design, this paper puts forward the safety design methods of electromechanical products, including designing the reliable products system, preventing incorrect operation design, creating the safety and pleasant interaction mode and the color and so on. It provides general safety design principle and method for electromechanical products, in order to prevent and reduce the accidents, to create the safe working conditions for users, and to ensure that the modern production runs smoothly.

Abstract: This paper describes a wearable upper limb orthosis that could be integrated within a home-based rehabilitation system for stroke patients. This orthosis consists of links and the installation of springs. First, the advantages of this design are with no actuating motors, with simple structure, and with lightweight, but with similar benefit as other therapeutic robots. Second, through the installation of springs to provide with spring force, when patients wearing this upper limb orthosis will feel the resistance, to benefit for more effective muscle rehabilitation exercise. At last, the advantage of this design is that due to the installation of springs and springy clamp one, users wearing the upper do rehabilitation training according with human skeleton movement trajectory, which makes users comfortable and that contributes to biceps, triceps, and deltoid muscles on the upper arm and shoulder training.
