The Design on Bearing Platform Dewatering Well Location of the Main Pier in the Songhua River Bridge
Abstract: By the study of construction of the bearing platform in the SongHua River bridge, and the actual site geology, hydrology and the corresponding norms, after the water drainage experiment, basing on this, to design dewatering well location. It was proved that the drainage scheme meet the need of the construction, both to ensure the construction of bearing platform of the main pier, but also save construction costs and speed up the construction progress.

Abstract: In this paper, through dealing with the leakage protection of underground engineering,do the research in leakage protection problems of groundwater seepage caused by concrete cracks and foundation settlement in underground concrete engineering, for the structure with different crack leakage protection in different methods, is discussed in aspects of material selection, construction process.Especially for the water leakage problem of the concrete structure, the settlement of the structure caused by the settlement joint and the stretching of expansion joint caused by the air shrinkage and temperature change of concrete.Change the past with rigid material plugging, by reasonable selection of material, the comprehensive application of the rigid and flexible materials,to solve the problem of water leakage caused by structure settlement joint and expansion joint, so as to solve deformation instability problem on the structure of settlement joint and expansion joint after leakage.

Abstract: The whole roof system of a certain stadium supports the ring beam. Load is transmitted to lower structures through the special-shaped column of a ring beam. This article introduces the positioning alignment, design and construction of the formwork supporting frame as well as other construction skills of a special-shaped column with a gradient section under the curve ring beam.

Abstract: In comparison with existing sensor technologies such as laser scanning and total station, the surveying technique of photogrammetry holds the advantages of being safe, inexpensive, efficient, and ease-to-use. This paper presents the research efforts of applying close-range photogrammetry to model 3D construction graphics, measure geometric dimensions of building products, and visualize changes and progress of dynamic construction sites. The research results demonstrate the potential of the investigated technique in solving construction jobsite problems.

Abstract: With increasing land prices and a lack of space in urban areas, urban construction sites are requiring deeper and larger excavations. For this reason, excavation is becoming more important. With deeper excavation, the retaining wall system needs to be adjusted, and a support system for retaining walls needs to be established so that the construction can resist the soil pressure. This can have potential problems depending on construction costs, the duration of construction, and the quality of structural frame. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to compare the conventional retaining wall system with the use of a Reinforcement Self-Supported Retaining Wall (RSW). This study revealed that the construction costs of RSW are 4 percent lower than those for the conventional retaining wall system.

Abstract: The reinforced concrete is widely used in the current building system; there are several finishing-free concrete surface techniques for the time being, but the undesirable phenomena affecting flatness and smoothness, such as air voids, pores, honeycombs and cold joints on the completed surface often appear. For this study, the Vibration Degassing Machine (VDM) was created and patented which is used to conduct the second partial ramming modification on the interfaces between concrete and formworks that eliminates the air voids on concrete surface efficiently and reduces the pits after removing formworks to enhance the smoothness on concrete surface which ideally presents the beauty of original design.

Abstract: Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) are high performance load-bearing panels, which are considered to be the next generation construction material. Based on the results of the previous studies on SIP building, combined with the theory of life-cycle assessment, this paper constructs a dual-index evaluation model of economical efficiency and carbon emission in life cycle. By adopting the data of previous research, comparisons were conducted between SIP building and traditional masonry-concrete house, which suggests significant advantages of SIP building. The results implicate that SIPs would have extensive popularization potential in the process of development of low-carbon buildings.

Abstract: There are many kinds of external wall thermal insulation, such as wire mesh, rock wool board external insulation, powder particles of polystyrene insulation slurry, and EPS exterior insulation, etc. Among all these technologies, the technology of EPS external insulation composite wall is applied more and more in China. This article aims at the research of the EPS external thermal insulation composite wall structure and the relevant construction technology.

Abstract: The Wenchuan and Yushu earthquakes damaged local Tibetan traditional buildings dramatically. With the unique geographical characteristics and religious significance of traditional Tibetan architecture, post-disaster reconstruction should inherit the local people's collective memory and create a positive, intimate space, so that the victims could envision their original homeland. Therefore, with the premise of respecting local customs and traditions, this paper argued that applying advanced disaster-resistant construction techniques and materials into building design could improve the security and stability traditional buildings, as well as highlighting its regional characteristics.
