Abstract: In order to evaluate noise characteristic of concrete pavements with different texture, specimens were prepared carefully by varying groove parameters, such as groove width and space between grooves. Employing tire impact method, the noise level and noise spectrum of different pavements were analyzed. The results indicate that the noise level of transverse grooved concrete pavement is the greatest, and the followings are glossy concrete pavement and longitudinal grooved concrete pavement, porous concrete pavement has the lowest noise level. For grooved pavement, the noise level is promoted with increasing the space between grooves. Besides that, the noise level of transverse grooved concrete pavement becomes greater as the groove width increases. For longitudinal grooved pavement, there is a contrary tendency. It is porous concrete pavement for a frequency larger than 1600HZ. In the whole frequency range, the noise-reduction ability of transverse grooved concrete pavement is the worst.

Abstract: The Three Gorges Ship Lift project is characterized by a long construction period, an amount of construction tenders, a plenty of construction teams, a multiplex levels of practitioners, much overhead work, a broad range of construction equipment, risky interference among construction operations, and simultaneous construction at different levels and/or sides, which come into grade cross operations and bring a great deal of difficulties to safety management. As a starting point by grade cross operations in Three Gorges Ship Lift, this research is as follows: 1. Analysis of the processes in operating unit; 2. Risk identification to the Falling Accidents, Objects Strike and Collapse in according to the standards of accident classification; 3. Assessment to rank of hazard on the basis of the result that the risk identification; 4. Put forward the effective measures which reduce hazard in reference to appraise concrete clauses involved. Finally, this paper will give a example as embedded parts and make risk assessment more scientific through comparing with calculating.

Abstract: Time and information are without doubt two key factors for successful coal mine emergency management. The advancement of information technology has brought new opportunities to improve coal mine safety. In this paper, a mobile coal mining safety monitoring system is introduced. The objective of the system is to help coal mine official acquire the real production environment data influencing mine safety in time anywhere and anytime thus be capable of responding to the matters arising immediately. The architecture of the system is proposed and it contains three layers including data acquisition layer, server application layer, and mobile client layer. Then, the system implementation details are elaborated. A use scenario is taken to demonstrate how the system can help safety official and relevant staff of the coal mine to respond to the changing mine production situation quickly and make time-critical decisions.

Abstract: The necessity of establishing the system of evaluating efficiency, based on data of accounting, for safety resources invested in enterprises of civil engineering is proposed systematically. The implications and the features of the recommended evaluation system of the safety resources are also demonstrated. This system of evaluating efficiency can be used in all units of civil engineering with possible accidents in production and for estimating and reflecting the inefficiency of the resources provided in preventing accidents in production. On the basis of the functions of this evaluation system, the main framework of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) for the system of evaluating efficiency is also suggested, which is accordant to features of data of accounting in enterprises of civil engineering. The purpose of studying this system is to promote effective evaluation and management of safety resources invested in enterprises of civil engineering.

Abstract: In this paper, advantages and disadvantages of single evaluation methods in solution selection of soft soil foundation treatment are analyzed and evaluated. Grey multilevel evaluation model combined AHP method and GRAP method is used in method selection of soft soil foundation treatment. Three kinds of soft soil foundation treatment schemes to be adopted in breakwater engineering construction in the west area of Yantai port are analyzed. And optimal selection of soft foundation treatment schemes is realized. It indicates that grey multilevel evaluation methods is reliable in results and possesses certain practical applicability and effectiveness, which provides a new way for optimal selection for soft soil foundation treatment methods of port engineering.

Abstract: In this article, 133 massive colliery blasting accidents were statistically analyzed in China after 2000, mainly from two aspects of the accident number and death number, three aspects such as the type of accidents, the time rule of accidents, and provincial were analyzed statistically; 72 massive colliery blasting accidents caused by blasters were analyzed statistically with regard to the unsafe act of blasters. The statistical results show that the accident and death number presents a downward opening parabolic trajectory by year; The time of the accident is more concentrated, and the fate casualties happened frequently around March, July, November and December, February is the least; Coal mine gas accident is the main type of blasting accidents, and the coal dust explosion accident causes most deaths averagely; The past statistical method seriously neglected the seriousness of blasting accidents; The coal mine underwent massive colliery blasting accidents distribute widely, but six provinces (Guizhou, Shanxi, Heilongjiang, Sichuan, Henan, Hunan, Liaoning) are the key places of blasting accidents; There are 22 species of unsafe act to blasters, the most common unsafe act is no working face environmental inspection, material and tools be used unsafely and improperly. Coal enterprises, government, and regulators should strengthen the prevention of the key time, accident style, region, and the common unsafe blasting act to the regularity of coal mine blasting accidents.

Abstract: Based on Yunnan minority traditional structure, some structural design characteristics are summarized. The three-dimensional finite element model (FEM) of Yi minority dwelling is built.By studying the dynamic characteristics and earthquake responses of Yi minority dwelling,natural frequencies and periods,acceleration dynamic response curve and displacement dynamic response curve are obtained.The equations are applied to calculate the moment resisting capacity of Yi minority dwelling.Depending on the results,the flexible seismic advantages of timber structure for minority structure are verified under the design defense intensity.

Abstract: The public participation in evaluating the rail transit P&R facilities is beneficial for enhancing the objectivity of the evaluation and reflecting the social equity to the greatest degree, so that the decision-making can be more people-oriented. Based on the analysis of the P&R travelling features of sedan cars and the transfer facilities service level, this paper, from the perspective of the public evaluation, makes a structural equation model which shows the evaluation of sedan car travelers toward the transfer efficiency of rail transit P&R facilities and elaborates the identification, fitting, correction and applications of the model.

Abstract: The numbers of index of Chinese standards for drinking water quality increased from 17 by the Health Regulation for Drinking water promulgated 1959 to106 by the current Standards for Drinking Water Quality (GB5749-2006). The Standard has been developed at the same pace with the world. However, there were some hysteretic problems in the process of standards implementation due to the detection technique. The article was aimed at making suggestions on improving detection capability and testing equipment, making programs on the technical personnel and the regional differences. The present research results will lay the foundation for the implementation of Chinese standards for drinking water quality.
